Father Ted Posted 15 May 2011 Posted 15 May 2011 In my opinion, players like upson, tomkins, noble, Carlton Cole and green are MASSIVELY overrated and are championship standard. As for spector, he is pure shit. Oh and kovac. Their only prem quality players are Parker, Ba, Piquionne and Stanislas (well will be in a couple of years time). A vastly overrated side who are in their position on merit. They will struggle next season.
Bert Posted 15 May 2011 Posted 15 May 2011 Parker, Green, Upson, Cole will leave, Ba, Robbie Keane will go back, Can't see Hitzlsperger hanging around... Very tough season awaits them next season I reckon. A mass exodus of players, difficulties in finding a new manager for a club on a downward curve and money problems is no recipe for success. There again, we said the same about Newcastle and look how that turned out..... Newcastle kept most of their players though....
Guest Bilo Posted 15 May 2011 Posted 15 May 2011 This is true. Their finances were arguably in much better shape an' all. West Ham have a decent youth system though which will help. I doubt they'll go straight back up but in a couple of years they'll be back in the Prem I expect. In terms of threats to our chances next season, I would say the bottom three is pretty much perfect. Wigan will lose most of their talent, Blackpool are a mid-table Championship punching massively above their weight and that's with Charlie Adam and David Vaughan who will leave in the summer and of course West Ham.
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 16 May 2011 Posted 16 May 2011 Don't agree. West Ham will lose alot of players and have serious financial problems, they won't walk it. It took them two attempts last time so no reason why it won't again. Ala Middeslbourgh
MC Prussian Posted 16 May 2011 Posted 16 May 2011 Hello West Ham, goodbye Avram Grant. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/13404955.stm
FoxyPV Posted 16 May 2011 Posted 16 May 2011 Phoned my brother (Hammers' fan) as soon as they went down to give abuse and hopefully arrange an away day to London
accessory Posted 16 May 2011 Posted 16 May 2011 In my opinion, players like upson, tomkins, noble, Carlton Cole and green are MASSIVELY overrated and are championship standard. All of the players you have mentioned would get starting places at Leicester. Think a bit more before posting next time..

Only Green because our keepers are crap. One of my mates is a west ham fan and according to him upson has been awful all season. Yak > Cole. Vitor, Mee > Tomkins. Wellens > Noble.
Fox92 Posted 16 May 2011 Posted 16 May 2011 Happy for myself. Always wanted to go to Upton Park, and have never been It'll be interesting to see what happens to the likes of Mark Noble, Scott Parker, Demba Ba etc. Wonder if theyll all leave,
ajthefox Posted 16 May 2011 Posted 16 May 2011 I'll be interested to see where Parker goes, has been quality this season and is easily too good for the champ.
Tom17LCFC Posted 16 May 2011 Posted 16 May 2011 Be interesting to see what Ba does considering he only arrived in jan. Bet he wishes he went Stoke now doesn't he, he'd be guaranteed european footie next season as well.

Bet he wishes he went Stoke now doesn't he, he'd be guaranteed european footie next season as well. I can't remember specifics but I'm pretty sure West Ham were pretty low down and Stoke were a good few places higher in january weren't they? Begs the question why he even went there? If it was for the money then more fool him..
ajthefox Posted 16 May 2011 Posted 16 May 2011 He failed a medical at Stoke. Oh right, well I suppose if thats the case then thats one thing that might have contributed to them going down.
marko Posted 16 May 2011 Posted 16 May 2011 Fighting at the West Ham end of season party. Cops have been called, tables thrown, punches thrown - sounds interesting. It apparently kicked off because a player refused to sign an autograph because he "was too tired."
ScouseFox Posted 16 May 2011 Posted 16 May 2011 What the hell's an end of season party? Especially when it's not the end of the season, and you've already been relegated? Surely not the best time for a party.
z-layrex Posted 16 May 2011 Posted 16 May 2011 I have a West Ham friend who would say 'stop talking about non-league football' whenever we talked about the championship so it's going to be funny to see him at the pub tomorrow.
