I very much doubt he ws expecting to stay on 40k a week and I very much doubt that he is on anything like that. If he's getting 40k a week and cost 1.5m then how much was Yakubu asking for that meant we didn't sign him straight away? If it's on twitter then it's as likely as football rumours.

The reports this morning indicated that he was prepared to take a salary cut to come here. He will bring some experience to the back-line, and is also half decent going forward. Decent business.

Think Konch will do spot on with us, admittedly never really followed him too much but I believe a player with the experience he has is only a good thing.

Ill'd much rater sign an experienced player whos played in the top 2 divisions all his career, a player thats also played for England and under Sven before. Why are Maccabi Haifa loaning him out anyway if he's their first choice left back and played such a vital part in them wining the leauge and qualifiying for the champions leauge?
