CloudFox Posted 21 August 2011 Posted 21 August 2011 Central/Attacking midfielder known for 'threading the needle' - chelsea's 'Jack Wilshire' My girlfriend's Uncle is a lifelong Chelsea fan, having been a Season Ticket since he was age 12 apparently, and he claims that McEachran is the most talented player he has seen at Chelsea since Gianfranco Zola, with a 'sublime' touch, and much better than Jack Wilshere. Apparently Capello has said that he is a very good player who, if he gets more first-team experience, could seriously make a charge for a first team appearance--respectable at the least considering he's only 18! Of course there's every chance he is massively biased , but encouraging to say the least! I think the reason we are after this sort of player to cover until Michael Johnson gets fit. WIth Kingy playing Attacking mid we have no creativity, it was fernandes (who is a DM) and Danns who were our most creative players yesterday. Someone like Josh would have been in the game more allowing us to create a lot more chances, meaning we would have scored more goals. Unless king scores he is the least effective player in our team. According to wiki McEacran can also play DM and standard CM, so he could always release Fernandes and/or Danns to that Attacking Midfield role if need be.

Chelsea may be willing to let him go but I swear I read somewhere that cappello said he believes they should only let him go to a PL club in order to further his career at club and country

Its come from a trustworthy person but cant be sure if someone has been pulling their leg which I doubt.Apparently, another bid is being readied for Nicky Maynard at £5.2 Million with add-ons taking it up to £6 Million eventually. Take it with a pinch of salt because I just wanted to share it with FT. There is a possibility it could be just a rumour. Also, I've posted it in this thread so someone may be able to query Bert about it on Twitter and post his reply In regard to this earlier post, I have more info. Source claims Maynard will be at Leicester thursday or friday to undergo a Medical. If correct does this mean a bid has been accepted? Thats all I know at the minute
