lcfc"weasel" Posted 16 June 2011 Posted 16 June 2011 true but there's also a trip to an athletics stadium in between and longer travelling time between dev cat - ground - dev cat, so less dev cat action and a shitter ground. Bottles of Tyskie could surely make there way onto some tram-drinking action.
Father Ted Posted 16 June 2011 Posted 16 June 2011 So close to getting Macclesfield as well ! I don't know how we will cope this season without playing Macclesfield in the first round!
eye666 Posted 16 June 2011 Posted 16 June 2011 I'm still in shock from my last visit there in the JPT when we played some of the worst football I've ever seen. Crap stadium as well - looks like the German Olympic Stadium after a nuclear bomb attack.
Happy Fox Posted 16 June 2011 Posted 16 June 2011 They are not too pleased http://boards.footymad.net/forum.php?tno=450&fid=215&sty=2&act=1&mid=2117211454
Mike the Metal Ed Posted 16 June 2011 Posted 16 June 2011 Urgh, as people have said, it's not so much drawing Rotherham, it's the Don Valley Stadium.
tylesta Posted 16 June 2011 Posted 16 June 2011 one of them had good things to say ex england manager and one of the best teams in the draw
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 16 June 2011 Posted 16 June 2011 Disappointing draw but it was always going to be.
Dan Posted 16 June 2011 Posted 16 June 2011 Surprise surprise, 17 teams in the draw, I want an away tie and we get the one I'd rank 17th in terms of aways. Be basically the friendly all over again, won't go if it's a significant price.
I am Rod Hull Posted 16 June 2011 Posted 16 June 2011 Any away bar Macclessfield, Tranmere & Rotherham
Madrid_Fox Posted 16 June 2011 Posted 16 June 2011 Last time I went to Don Valley Stadium i was 10 years old and watching a Michael Jackson concert. When you come to think of it, it was quite risky for me to be there as a 10 year old!

Madrid_Fox Posted 16 June 2011 Posted 16 June 2011 And imagine that - it wasn't even because of Michael Jackson! Well, you know what Yokshiremen are like. When I went to watch City last time at Rotheram it was impossible to sit down as your knees would be touching the back of the head of the person sat infront of you! Hopefully this time it will be better and not because of a late Trevor Benjamen goal!
iBleedLeicesterColours Posted 16 June 2011 Posted 16 June 2011 Leeds v Bradford & Forest v County the picks of the bunch.
Madrid_Fox Posted 16 June 2011 Posted 16 June 2011 I hate the fact that this will be our second game of the season. Why not play our first league game on the saturday, second league game on the tuesday or wednesday then the third league game the next saturday. Too early in the season for me to get distracted by the league cup. Let us get some league games under our belt first!
MrSpaM Posted 16 June 2011 Posted 16 June 2011 Rotherham fans seem pretty confident they can beat us! Pretty much all of them saying it's a winnable tie
Madrid_Fox Posted 16 June 2011 Posted 16 June 2011 Rotherham fans seem pretty confident they can beat us! Pretty much all of them saying it's a winnable tie I didnt realise that there was a mental institution for Rotherham fans! Rotherham fans seem pretty confident they can beat us! Ashley Posted 16 June 2011 Posted 16 June 2011 Rotherham, couldn't beat a drum. Always bottle it when it comes to the play-offs just like Forest and Cardiff.
smallpauldj Posted 16 June 2011 Posted 16 June 2011 I also remember the jpt game, well more the guy infront of me telling a steward you dry the fing seat and I'll sit on it
kingfox Posted 16 June 2011 Posted 16 June 2011 One word rubbish, binoculars needed but hoping for a easy win 4-0 will do.
Christoph Posted 16 June 2011 Posted 16 June 2011 Just googled the stadium, haha holy sh!t, that stadium is old school.
