The pictures of the scene are horrifying, to come out of that car with no major issues is incredibly fortunate.

Sadly I wonder if this will reduce the number of boxers doing events in Nigeria in the future

The tetteh okolie fight should do that to be fair. That was awful

Dalton Smith :appl:

Saw the KO this morning, very impressive.

If Azim can get away from Boxxer soon, then hopefully we will see a Smith v Azim world title fight in 2027.

If Chisora beats Wilder, it pours further cold water on how good Fury is?

Why, fury did the damage… it’s knocked Wilder’s confidence and he doesn’t look anywhere near the fighter he was a few years back. All it proves is Wilder is past it

 Benn signs with Dana White

im very intrigued by this. It might feel like it’s a slap in the  face  for Hearn who stoically stood by him through the doping scandal, but I do think having Dana and the Saudi money behind him is going to put him in line for some bigger fights.  He’s mandatory challenger to face the winner of Barrios - Garcia and zuffa could make that  happen.

brave move by Benn and I hope it works out for him..

More evidence...

Pacquiao and Mayweather agree professional rematch

Boxing greats Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather have agreed a professional rematch in September.

Pacquiao, 47, and Mayweather, 48, will fight at Sphere in Las Vegas on Saturday, 19 September, with the bout live on Netflix.

Some unbelievable revisionism being done on Fury just because he and his family are bellends....bloke completely dismantled Wilder in his pomp in all 3 fights in my eyes. A trilogy that truly lived up to the billing which can't be said for most "hyped up" bouts nowadays.

You can't diminish someone's achievements judging how their opponents do years later in nowhere near as strong a state. People often discourage Fury's resume but never highlight he beat Klitschko and opened up the division before AJ did who fought a finished VK and that fight gave AJ more plaudits strangely.

Wilder was / is a puncher, not a great boxer.

So many question about how good Wilder is.

I’ll give Fury fights 2 and 3, however that first fight should have gone to Wilder. It was never a draw.

Don't agree with this at all but no I never said Wilder is a great boxer but no one fancied giving him a go because of how dangerous he was, Fury did...3 times. huge respect to him for that!

Itauma is unreal.

We need to see him step up to the next level of fighters now.

I’d have loved to have seen him fight Chisora or Wilder, rather than them fighting each other.

"The next level" is world level now.  He would embarrass Chisora or Wilder in the same way he did Dillian Whyte.

Franklin is a durable fighter normally.  AJ and Whyte were taken 12 rounds and are his only two losses....

Realistically... Who beats him?  Parker? (Doubtful) Zhang? (No chance) The only person I could see potentially trouble him is kabayel.

I think Usyk is also potentially troubled against itauma. He's the only fighter at heavyweight that will be quicker than him.

The only question mark really, is how is his chin.

Franklin's corner moaning about an early stoppage, Ref did the right thing calling it off 100% even tried to stop the last shot. Someone really needs to have a word with Franklin's team
