Well, let's agree to disagree. In my view, Fury has the quicker hands.

He can probably throw quicker combinations in fairness, Joshua can certainly throw out a single power shot quicker.

whats the difference between doing it because they can do it or because they have to do it.

Uhm.. A lot! For a man with the ability to brawl with the best of them, jabbing and "dancing" on the ring can be considered just another tool to use. A way to prolong his career, Another style of boxing, as for the guy Who NEEDS to circle away and outpoint the opponent because of his chin, it is a must.

Bullshit, Wilder is the most exciting fighter I the world, that guy has nothing else except a knock out punch.

I spend a lot of time in the US and boy they love him.

AJ is an avoider, and will fight no one

AJ and Fury will have him for what he is, Wilder is the biggest fraud in boxing... I doubt he would dare to step in the ring with either anyway, just have to wait until he gets clipped by a fighter that can punch and move... he avoids them types. Only took fury, knowing he had been out for years and not fully sharp lol and still had to have a decision go for him with the draw when he had been outboxed for the whole fight.

Wilder had never stepped in the ring with a champion until fury on the comeback, the only time he did he was well beat.

the other top heavyweights have all fought and beaten champions

 Ah ok

So what your essentially saying is, Anthony Joshua, who has battered over 20 opponents into the ground, has shown he has the ability to brawl with the best of them (Wlad)  is a guy who needs to circle away because he’s done it in one fight.

😂

it’s another style of fighting he used in this fight and fair play to him, find a way.

Not sure why he’s getting so much shit, it’s exactly what he needed to do to win.

He’s a superior boxer to Ruiz and didn’t want to risk getting stopped again. anyone with half a brain knew that he wasn’t going to go in all guns blazing and he’s boxed smartly against a more dangerous opponent than Parker.

Thank you

Alright, I'm not trying to discredit Joshua, but I wanted to talk about what I thought. Tbh, I was surprised that Joshua managed to not take the bait and just "jab and grab" his way to an easy victory. That was an improvement for him.

What I wanted to see is him doing more work on the inside instead of clinching but I guess that defeats the propos of his what I said earlier about his plan to keep the fight at a distance.

I don't think he has to do that but, my criticism is revolved around the potential big fight against 1 of Tyson or Wilder. He can't outbox fury or enjoy the same reach and height advantage he had on this fight against Wilder.

He’s not a superior boxer to Ruiz  he’s just got better mobility longer range and dictated the fight. When in range Ruiz was the better man he was just kept out of range. Ur right though he did what he had to do to beat this opponent.

The fury fight is a big one, he’d not be able to do what he did tonight against fury, or anything like it, he’d have to find a way to what wilder did, as fury has range on him.

You fight the opponent, Ruiz doesn’t get the respect he deserves with his power and hand speed... people think AJ or any fighter should just step in and take that.. Joshua outboxed him all night and that could have gone on until Christmas and it would have been that same... no need to take risk against a dangerous fighter.

Why on gods green earth would he go inside and fight Ruiz’s fight. Clinch, separate go back to the distance fighting where you can win the fight at ease.

Fury or Wilder raise different questions for different nights. Neither of which would be avoid getting on the inside of at all costs, like I say it’s finding a way to win.

i do agree though there are still huge question marks about a fight with either, but I think the next big chapter in this division involves wilder and fury after tonight as AJ will have to fight pulev  to retain one of the belts.

I'm a layman when it comes to boxing but it seems to me that Joshua basically did his best Fury impression in that fight, and the same people that bum Fury for his style are now slagging Joshua's performance.

Yeah I'd have like to have seen a knockout but Joshua was basically up from start to finish there.

Seems like AJ took the time to actually learn how to box. Good for him. Never seen anything like that level of footwork or head movement from him before, he's been such a one dimensional plodder til now. Still don't think he can **** with fury though and without the reach advantage he had this time I don't see it as that likely he could avoid getting knocked out by deontay for 12 rounds either. Pleased for him though, deserved the victory for having the humility to go back to basics with his training.

That one dimensional  plodder won three belts and had over a 90% ko ratio, and  You’d imagine the game plan cooked up by McCracken would be different aginst both of them when compared with the one he was sent in with last night. This a rhetoric being carted out by people left right and centre who just got last night wrong.

All irrelevant at the moment though it’s over to fury and wilder.

AJ reached a point of popularity where it became fashionable to start taking a pop at him instead in resistance. It happens to pretty much everyone / thing in sport once the press starts climbing too far up their arse.

If Tyson Fury had done that last night (which is what he's built his career doing by the way) the exact same people would be wanking themselves in to a coma about how it was patient, clever, skillful, true boxing, etc.

To be honest, it's exactly what the same people were saying AJ wouldn't be able to do because he's just a slugger who was late to boxing and doesn't have the talent for it and blah blah blah.

Yeah I did get it wrong in fairness. I was quite taken aback by how much he improved. Maybe he could reinvent himself again and challenge the other 2 but if he manages that he'll be surprising me again.

Joshua couldn’t finish of a slobbering fat fella with a BMI of 50 ! A man who’s belly is bigger than his reach !!!! A man so unfit that the corner stool had to be specially flown in to fit is fat disgusting ass

Joshua spent 12 rounds trying to Jab at Jabba The Hutt and Joshua was so frightened that the Fat mess might actually knock him out he ran away all

night

Joshua is really a manufactured fraud hyped up by Sky and the likes , listening to the commentary last night was sickening so one sided and all

gushing to be on the Joshua Gravy train for life

Joshua will fight some fat useless Russian next and then after that a beaten Wilder or a wank stain Whyte .... he won’t want to face the one man that will truly end his career

The Fists of Fury will rain down on that A Force Joshua (see the fraud link) and knock his sorry ass into oblivion

feel dirty today looking at my bank statement showing I spent £25 on that muck last night

Was impressed by AJ, until now he's had a big flaw in having crap footwork and thus not being able to get out the way of people like Ruiz Jr. Okay, so he fought on the back foot, but it's seriously impressive for a big heavyweight to move round the ring for 12 rounds and not look tired. Not his fault his opponent turned up out of condition.

Andy’s gone on record stating the extra stone was a result of living the life.....scary amount of people who claim to now about the sport saying it was muscle gain and it was a tactic before the fight, bloke looked fat. Very fat.
