Drunk me fancied it, sober me definitely still fancies Joyce :D

You make a fair point though, you think he'd approach it like Haye did when he fought Valuev who was about 8ft? Hit and run for 12 rounds.

Joyce has definitely earned a crack at the top boys though. He can't do much more than keep wiping the floor with his opponents.

But it's not even like it's Haye vs Valuev. Valuev was absurdly large and powerful, Joyce is no bigger or powerful than AJ who Usyk just routinely dismantled twice in a row.

Joyce might be a bit fitter with a better chin than Joshua but he's also slower and possibly less powerful.

I don't see any outcome other than Usyk running rings around him for 12. I don't even think it'd be that interesting to watch tbh.

Yeah cheers Finners, you're kind of killing my appetite for it now lol.

At this stage though, I've made my call and I have to see the fight played out now haha

No Fury Joshua fight says Tyson or is that just a ruse to get more money out of the fight ?

Hopefully he's just attention seeking again . Frank Warren said they had a good meeting with AJs team and things are progressing well. Eddie Hearn confirmed the same

never expected that fight to happen anyway tbh

It's got very little to do with Tyson Fury. He'll fight when he's told to fight in this instance. It's vaguely possible one of the two boxers is ducking each other but I doubt it at this point.

AJ knows it's the best fight he's going to get and Fury will likely have the confidence he'll beat him by now.

But it's out of their hands, both of them have signed conflicting broadcast deals for their fights and those are being negotiated. It's not even just about arguing over purse this time, it's bigger than that.

Fury is just doing Fury things, Joshua can't sign any quicker than he is because it's not really up to him. Fury will know that.

Still feels like Fury is trying to sabotage it because he wants an easy fight with Charr.

Fury vs Charr at this point wouldn't even sell out the stadium and would probably do about 50k PPV buys at the absolute best.

Reported on TalkSport just now that Connor Benn has failed a drugs test ahead of the fight this weekend. The circus goes on after the Fury Vs AJ talks falling through and Eubanks dad pleading for this fight to be cancelled due to a rehydration clause that his son signed up to

How does this still go ahead?

Clomiphene is a PED. It enhances performance. It can increase testosterone by 50%.

It doesn't. British Board of Boxing have said it cannot.

I don't see how Eddie Hearn recovers after this week, he's been on the ropes for a while after moving to DAZN.

As for Conor Benn he's probably finished.

More negative news for Boxing .

Sure Chris Eubank Snr will have his say!

The statement from both promoters released earlier was a disgrace. An athlete should be suspended as soon as they get a positive test from the A sample and then the B sample should be tested immediately rather than allowing them to compete while the b sample takes weeks/months to test.  Eubanks promoter even said on Talksport that clomifene wasn't a performance enhancing drug and both fighters were happy for the fight to go ahead!

I think it will go ahead.

Too much money involved to just call it off last minute.

Exactly, they're not going to let something like a positive drug test deprive them of all the money they can make.
