Tonight's opener to the Championship campaign pits two former Leicester City managers - albeit ones with very different fortunes - head to head. The match between Hull and Blackpool kicks off at 7:45 tonight and promises to be a good contest. Hull will be without defender Paul McShane who is out for a number of weeks with a calf injury, while Blackpool seem to have no outstanding injuries, but will have to cope with the loss of star turns DJ Campbell and Charlie Adam. Last years opener between Norwich and Watford was a great game, though the result had very little bearing on the two team's fortunes for the season ahead. I recall Watford looking immense and tipped Norwich for relegation given their shaky back line. How wrong I was... Anyway, discuss the new season and in particular this match here.

Purely for the obvious reason of: Pearson Holloway I'm still in the camp that feels Holloway was left with an impossible task and would have been great in different circumstances. Not nearly as cryptic as Pearson either!

Fox92 Posted 5 August 2011 Posted 5 August 2011 I'll be watching it, just hope it is as good as Norwich v Watford last season which was the Friday night match on TV. Watched that in a hotel in London as we we're playing Palace the next day. Holloway, Pearson and Hobbs were on Sky Sports News today talking about the game, which I think will be a score draw.

Mandaric got us relegated that season, no one else. Ok maybe a few of the strikers but ultimately Holloway had no chance.
