MrSpaM Posted 8 August 2011 Posted 8 August 2011 Cleverley Always thought he looked good when he was playing for us, seems to have come on leaps and bounds since then. Good on the lad, would love to see him playing for us again in the future.
topharry123 Posted 8 August 2011 Posted 8 August 2011 Good on him. Was a real shame we couldn't have kept him a little longer, was a top performer IMO for us. Good luck to him, nice to think that we helped him get there!
Libertine Posted 8 August 2011 Posted 8 August 2011 Bit odd but a good move. Stupid having a friendly so close to the start of the season so trying out some younger players would be much better than playing the obvious names that are hardly going to be that up for it, which should be the idea of friendlies anyway.
m00nie Posted 8 August 2011 Posted 8 August 2011 they was talking about him during the man u game yesterday, saying how they wasnt sure if he would make it but he trained hard put the effort in and progressed loads and now everyone at teh club thinks highly of him.. .. was good to hear..
Bryn Posted 8 August 2011 Posted 8 August 2011 I think he's come right out of left field, I don't think he was exceptionally highly rated. He's obviously worked really hard and deserves all the success he gets. Class player.
MPH Posted 8 August 2011 Posted 8 August 2011 pleased for him. Top lad... it was his attitude just as much as his ability that impressed me when he was with us....
John Matrix Posted 8 August 2011 Posted 8 August 2011 I think he's come right out of left field, I don't think he was exceptionally highly rated. He's obviously worked really hard and deserves all the success he gets. Class player. they've been saying he would get in man u's first team for the past couple of seasons and he was a mainstay in the u23's.
Corky Posted 8 August 2011 Posted 8 August 2011 Liked him when he was with us and has obviously developed in his other loan spells.
Marmite Posted 8 August 2011 Posted 8 August 2011 Really pleased for him......never forget when he scored at Walsall on a snowy night and he ran up and celebrated infront of us. Well done mate :appl: :appl: :appl:
Guest NGoloMode Posted 8 August 2011 Posted 8 August 2011 Congrats to him. Where the hell is Sturridge??
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 8 August 2011 Posted 8 August 2011 Congrats to him. Where the hell is Sturridge?? Overlooked for the lanky useless streak that is Crouchy. Heaven forbid Crapello can actually bring fresh blood in without being forced to due to withdrawals.
ScouseFox Posted 8 August 2011 Posted 8 August 2011 Sturridge and Bent sit at home and Crouch is still involved
Guest ttfn Posted 8 August 2011 Posted 8 August 2011 Sorry I don't want to be a c*nt about this, but it is not "well deserved". He only played 2/3 of Wigan's games last season and was hardly a stand-out performer in a team that almost got relegated. Good on the guy, but this is an absolutely bonkers selection. We're well-stocked with central midfielders, and finally seem to have got a system that works. Cleverly isn't going to improve it, at least not yet.
Guest ttfn Posted 8 August 2011 Posted 8 August 2011 Sturridge and Bent sit at home and Crouch is still involved This is absolutely mental as well. Bent has played well for England over the last year. He should start most games for us. And Peter ****ing Crouch gets selected?
ScouseFox Posted 8 August 2011 Posted 8 August 2011 Bent is the best England striker behind Rooney, and for large parts of last season was much better than Rooney. And he impressed when given the nod in the most recent few selections. Madness.
Bert Posted 8 August 2011 Posted 8 August 2011 Sturridge and Bent sit at home and Crouch is still involved Bent is injured. Sturridge is dog turd and will never make it at full international level. All he does is gets the ball and shoots, badly. U21 championships was a prime example. Crouch has a phenomenal international scoring record, better than ANY other English player in the squad. Well done to Cleverley. Always been highly rated at United else he'd have left by now.
Fox92 Posted 8 August 2011 Posted 8 August 2011 It showed his goal against Cheltenham on Sky Sports, what a goal that was. And Natalie Sawyer was presenting Well done to Cleverley. Always been highly rated at United else he'd have left by now. Neville said yesterday that the club nearly released him but chose not to in the end.
Daggers Posted 8 August 2011 Posted 8 August 2011 Really pleased for him......never forget when he scored at Walsall on a snowy night and he ran up and celebrated infront of us. Great night, great snowball fight - great snowball hitting the steward after the first goal! Delighted for the lad, he deserves it for his brilliant attitude.
Salieri Posted 8 August 2011 Posted 8 August 2011 Got a soft spot for the lad after his loan spell with us, chuffed for him.
Guest shearfox Posted 14 August 2011 Posted 14 August 2011 Starting for United today, seems like he has come on a lot.
