Blackburn in for Bamba

This is ridiculous

We payed £5M for Mills who was in last year of contract.

And sell Bamba for half of that, when he's the same standard. This could jepardise a large part of preperarion for the season.

Not a smart move IMO, need to keep him

Just when i thought we were a buying club and no longer had to sell our best assets ? In Sven we trust my arse .

It's not just Sven though is it? What if Bamba wants to leave... We can't really stop him cause' his heart won't be in playing for us

My only problem is the petty 2-2.5million fee mentioned

Bamba started well as we all know, but our record with him starting after the famous bump on the head at Derby is as follows

11 games, 3 wins, 3 draws, 5 defeats, F=16 A=15 Pts 12 (2 clean sheets)

I have not included Saturday's game, because I think the win and cleansheet was largely down to the quality Sven has recruited around him both in defence and midfield.

Best assets. laugh.gif

10 times the money we paid for him, great business. I'm with Babs, it's not great timing but as long as we have someone decent in mind then no problem. I like the guy and he can be fantastic on occasion, but certainly not irreplaceable.

Bamba must have said he wants to leave, I can't really see any other explanation for all of this.

We're not in a squad position to sell him with only Mills and St Ledger left as recognisable and proven centre-backs, and we certainly don't need the cash. I would have suggested that we've had a bid we can't refuse, but in this market £2-2.5 million doesn't seem particularly ground-breaking to me.

Odd situation, but we'll deal with it.

StringerSport Ian Stringer

BBC Radio Leicester understands there has been NO bid for Sol Bamba and The Foxes are NOT negotiating with Blackburn Rovers #lcfc #brfc

Articles on the Independent and the Mail websites now saying he's off (although regurgitated information). Be interested to see the outcome of this as it will show just how ITK Stringer is, he normally stays (jealously) quiet if a deal is happening and he has no info.

So can anyone tell me where this " he don't want to play for us any-more " come from ?

Its not so much that, its more that he wants to play in the premiership. by going to blackburn, its instantly realising that ambition, rather than trying to get there with us.

The foxy women on this site won't be best chuffed!! Many felt he was one of the good looking ones!

They won't wanna see Wayne Brown back will they....lol

Although thinkin about it I better shut up or hell break mi fookin legs..

Probablly already been said but this explains why he wasn't in the squad last night. Think we should recall tunchev now as we have no cover!

With the money we get given for him I genuinely think that we can find an improvement, He isn't worth £3 million and will get massively found out in the Premier League he may be a fans favourite but he certainly isn't that good that we can't replace him and people saying we payed too much for Mills I can sum that up in 3 words... He is English.

It don't half make me laugh how people are now saying how important he is, in comparison to this time 5-6 weeks ago when everyone was saying he wasn't going to be good enough, he was a bombscare and we should sell him if we got the chance.

Don't take a lot for you to change your mind does it!!

In my opinion, there is better out there and if he doesn't want to be here then let him go.

Apparently Bamba didn't play last night because of personal reasons and he was down to be in the squad last night? :dunno:

Gutted to see him go (If he does), can't see why he'd go to Blackburn if its true the likes of Valencia are in for him. Never mind, in Sven we trust.

The Sean St Ledger i saw against Real Madrid made me fear for the future , he was completely out of his depth as opposed to Bamba .

I know yeah, I mean one of our players being out of his depth against Real Madrid is unacceptable.

Out of depth against Real Madrid on his debut in a friendly. We're doomed.
