Blinking Blue Owl Posted 10 August 2011 Posted 10 August 2011 I said as opposed to Bamba ! that's the whole point of this discussion I thought .
richdfox Posted 10 August 2011 Posted 10 August 2011 Probablly already been said but this explains why he wasn't in the squad last night. Think we should recall tunchev now as we have no cover! he didnt play last night as he was allowed back to france for family issues...
FazzaF Posted 10 August 2011 Posted 10 August 2011 Was our best player against Real Madrid, and had a good game against Coventry. I don't think he should go or will go, but if he was too go, I would accept any thing over £3,000,000
tylesta Posted 10 August 2011 Posted 10 August 2011 Just watched the transfer update nothing on there
Vlad the Fox Posted 10 August 2011 Posted 10 August 2011 Hibbs fans were right then, We are just a stepping stone for him to go to the Prem. Would love it if we got promoted and Blackburn got relegated! Didn't they also say that he is great in the big games but a liability at other times, Man city, madrid? I like him and think he is a decent defender at this level, but so is saint ledger and I had him down to partner mills before the season started. Like many people before the madrid game bamba didn't feature in their cb spots. As for disruption not really they've all played the system together pre season.
Walsho Posted 10 August 2011 Posted 10 August 2011 More of a watcher than a poster on FT but i have good connections with players and coaches at the club so here is what i know: - The reason Sol didnt play last night is because he was on the bench for Ivory Coast V Italy. - There was interest for Sol at the start of the summer from Everton and Villa but no official bids were made - Sven was/is against selling Sol and had talks during pre-season in regards to a new contract. I know i don't have the reputation of Bert so take it how you will but this is all 100% truth. Will post more info as i get it. On another note: BertLcfc on twitter??? Is this Bert or is it some mug trying to rip him off?? From his twitter posts ive seen i don't think its him
Callabinho Posted 10 August 2011 Posted 10 August 2011 Hasn't Luke chambers started contract talks with the trees? Swoop in Sven!

sphericalfox Posted 10 August 2011 Posted 10 August 2011 I'm back off my holidays and this is the news I see after getting off the plane!! Wot! Wot! If Blackburn sign him are they going to CGI him into this ad?
Happy Fox Posted 10 August 2011 Posted 10 August 2011 Hasn't Luke chambers started contract talks with the trees? Swoop in Sven! Craig Dawson - WBA. On a permanent?

I've looked through all the results and there's no result or fixture for Ivory Coast v Italy.
Walsho Posted 10 August 2011 Posted 10 August 2011 Where did you hear this? I've looked through all the results and there's no result or fixture for Ivory Coast v Italy. From the man himself!!!
h1210 Posted 10 August 2011 Posted 10 August 2011 Where did you hear this? I've looked through all the results and there's no result or fixture for Ivory Coast v Italy. Spot the obvious mistake Ivory Coast v Italy Match Report I'd read he was in France (Paris?) for 'family reasons'. Think it was from Rob Tanner but can't remember.
B52 Posted 10 August 2011 Posted 10 August 2011 Where did you hear this? I've looked through all the results and there's no result or fixture for Ivory Coast v Italy. Probably Ivory Coast v Israel today...
dannythefox Posted 10 August 2011 Posted 10 August 2011 Would be a good bit of business but I don't think Sven would sell him unless he asked to leave which is his choice.
Sloanfox Posted 10 August 2011 Posted 10 August 2011 We sold Hobbs on the main basis that we would have sufficent men in his position to cover his loss. So we loan Tunchev out and then are mulling over the possibility of selling Bamba..It doesn't make sense. Unless ofcourse he actually wants to move??
Ali_Mauchlens_Tash Posted 10 August 2011 Posted 10 August 2011 I like to see modern day defensive partnerships where one CB is a ball winner who attacks the ball in the air and goes with defenders, whilst the other has the ability to sit back and read the game, covering gaps/runs and intervening when necessary. (eg... vidic - ferdinand....terry - carvalho/luiz...puyol - machena) To me it looks like Mills likes to dominate and attack the ball (ideal qualitities for a captain).....but lets face it, reading the game and positional play are definitely not Bambas strong points. At times he stood out as a ball winner, and always looked threatening going forward which we all appreciated, he also appeared to make a lot of last ditch saving tackles....most of the time it was his own poor positioning that meant he had to do this...so I don't see this as a positive...Personally I think we need a different type of player back there. A fully fit and on form Tunchiev would do me...Whether that happens or not, I'm sure there will be transfer targets that compliment Mills better than Bamba, and even at 2million I think it would be a great deal. If we still had Mandaric here and the offer was the same then I think more people would be saying sell. Just because we have money now, doesn't mean our own players are worth more than their market value.
Happy Fox Posted 10 August 2011 Posted 10 August 2011 From the man himself!!! You know that footballers are deceitful don't like to reveal the truth, i.e you cannot take their word

bald reynard Posted 10 August 2011 Posted 10 August 2011 Where did you hear this? I've looked through all the results and there's no result or fixture for Ivory Coast v Italy. I think Ivory Coast are playing Israel tonight (Wednesday 10th - in Geneva). I wouldn't be surprised if Sol is there.
The Padster Posted 10 August 2011 Posted 10 August 2011 You know that footballers are deceitful don't like to reveal the truth, i.e you cannot take their word Clutching at straws there mate.
