Alpha Gifts & Awards Posted 11 September 2011 Posted 11 September 2011 I've read through many post on here, well more pages 1-4. Please forgive if what I'm about to say has been posted on pages 5-8. Have we considered the changes to the transfer market i.e. having a window, does actually make things more difficult for any new manager to have impact. Then, with the self imposed 'rush' to get promoted Sven was limited to initial loan signings, which was more the fault of having the wrong man in charge during the summer of 2010. Do we think one summer transfer market is enough for a promotion push, regardless of the amount spent? Or may be a couple of these are required to properly acquire what is required and gel completely your own team? Personally, there seems to be an incredible amount of high expecation around a quick return to the to flight. Would it kill us if it took until the end of next season? That said, I'm confident it will be this season, but may be we all need another day at Wembley before we can celebrate . Kind regards to you all!
acooling08 Posted 11 September 2011 Posted 11 September 2011 Lets just see where we are at Christmas.
dannythefox Posted 11 September 2011 Posted 11 September 2011 Really, you think all professional sports people instantly go away for a week and suddenly start eating kebabs and drinking loads of beer? Does it really matter all I'm saying is that they were well off the pace yesterday and they looked like they had a good holiday!
CupidStunt Posted 11 September 2011 Posted 11 September 2011 Is this a JOKE or? Come on stay behind your team or shad up! :scarf: Joke? I dont think so, I guess your one of those fans thats gonna back sven when were in the same position or worse half way through the season. I am all for sven doing well, and will always support the "team", but at the moment it aint looking good for him Are you not one bit confused on the way sven has managed the team for the last six games? If your not, your deluded
STEVIE B Posted 11 September 2011 Posted 11 September 2011 It just amazes me that we struggle to keep a clean sheet and it doesn't look like changing anytime soon. We look so vulnerable when attacked with pace. We also seem to lack pace when going forward, although Beckford looks like he can shift, hope he gets the service.
stuartn27 Posted 11 September 2011 Posted 11 September 2011 totally agree...... most teams that win promotion have a steady 15-20 players the main 11....draft a few in and out for injuries and the odd ban...bookings... we seem 2 swap and change the team to often for my liking no wonder we let silly goals in... plan A? B or C...at the mo think ERicksons on plan M i hope he does turn it around.... we come up against a team who well are organised...know there job...hussle us...we cant cope.. lets see what Sat brings against brighton
Guest Col city fan Posted 11 September 2011 Posted 11 September 2011 Ah Spherical it's as I thought you resort to sarcasm. Here is another I'm sure you know . Sarcasm is the sharp instrument of a blunt mind . And I bet your sniggering little friend will enjoy that . I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks he's sarcastic..intelligent, but a little personality disordered methinks

B or C...at the mo think ERicksons on plan M 1 - he's hardly chopping and changing this season. He's made most Due to injury. I can only remember a couple for tactical changes. 2 - we have a decent squad of 20 or so players that will be steady and remain here 3 - Sven only has a plan A which has been commonly critized. He's only changed once from 4-3-3 and that's when playing 4-4-2 which worked really well so idk why he changes back to 4-3-3. so he's hardly up to plan M 4- we let silly goals in because of miscommunication between the back 4 (mainly cb) they are both flat whereas someone should come forward to challenge the man then the other behind to Track a runner. But ATM for the opp it's like cutting through warm butter with a knife
@mrtonycox Posted 12 September 2011 Posted 12 September 2011 Sousa was given 9 without spending millions.. To be consistent I'd say Sven has 2 or 3 more games at tops. Somebody told me yesterday the rumour mill was working full time with MON already being approached... forget which website he was talking about.
21st Century Fox Posted 12 September 2011 Posted 12 September 2011 Sousa was given 9 without spending millions.. To be consistent I'd say Sven has 2 or 3 more games at tops. Somebody told me yesterday the rumour mill was working full time with MON already being approached... forget which website he was talking about. Though the fact he's had millions to spend would surely mean he'll get longer than 9 games due to the investment in his choices and his vision for a team. Not a great deal on managers can come in and mould a team they haven't had a hand in building into a promotion winning side.
J.Lisemore Posted 12 September 2011 Posted 12 September 2011 Obviously the results recently haven't been good enough, but the last thing we need at the minute is to start chopping and changing managers. Sven has brought in his own players and its not going to happen overnight. If we were to bring in a new manager, that would involve him wanting to sign players of his own...and we all know what happened not so long ago! Give Sven time and he will no doubt turn it around.
sphericalfox Posted 12 September 2011 Posted 12 September 2011 I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks he's sarcastic..intelligent, but a little personality disordered methinks Ah the normal backhanded compliment! Sarcasm is not a general rule of thumb, I save it for special people. Your personality disorder jibe is rich considering your bipolar tendencies!
Master Fox Posted 12 September 2011 Posted 12 September 2011 i have to agree...if we lose on sat against Brighton i think its bye bye sven... we play a team like Barnsley...we should be winning 2-0 maybe 3-0... even on sat they looked more organised than we did... the blonde haired chap ran the show first half for them....whats he cost probably 200k i just dont get svens team...best ive seen them play so far was 70 mins away at Forest.. if we are to be promoted...mr Erickson please be more attacking... a well organised team who close us down rapid we are SH.. roll on sat....the season starts here... Cretin
Babylon Posted 12 September 2011 Posted 12 September 2011 Sousa was given 9 without spending millions.. To be consistent I'd say Sven has 2 or 3 more games at tops. Sousa was given 9 games because we were bottom of the table, he'd signed quality like Lamey and Moreno, players were upset with training, handing in transfer requests left right and centre, rumours of him and Hobbs having a bit of a scuffle at half time or after one of the games. Not forgetting the guy talked complete and utter guff that nobody could even under stand. It wasn't just the on field stuff that led to him going, the whole thing just stank. This is completely different and should be treated as such.
He's not bald Posted 12 September 2011 Posted 12 September 2011 I'm not for getting rid of Sven because recent history shows chopping and changing managers every 5 minutes can lead to disaster however the facts speak for themselves and cannot be disputed, he's been here nearly a year has been given almost free range in the loan market and more money to spend than any other team in the championship and some in the prem yet we are struggling against teams we should be beating and shipping goals at an alarming rate. It follows that our owners having invested millions will eventually lose patience with him. How long should he get bearing in mind we are already playing catch up
Happy Fox Posted 12 September 2011 Author Posted 12 September 2011 What we really need is two wingers on loan please get it done.
S1DDO Posted 12 September 2011 Posted 12 September 2011 A Question to anyone who has been to most of the games so far. Have we improved at all since the Reading game?
OzFox Posted 12 September 2011 Posted 12 September 2011 Col, I like the positive slant (for this week) on the future of LCFC as you see it. But for all the forward thinking, sometimes you can't see past the end of your nose whenst future gazing. If Sven has done exactly what you say about bringing a total bunch of strangers together, and it was his choice. This is an undeniable fact. It's great that we can agree on this. Could we also agree that Sven may understand that it is difficult for a player to acclimatise to up sticks, and move to a new club where only half a dozen players have played for the club for a short while know each other, and that time will need to be taken for them personally to get each other, before it becomes demonstrated on the pitch. Thus the extra trips of fun and bondage down rubber dinghy rapids, and elsewhere. Efforts are happening behind the scenes to make this happen. Sven is having more of an impact than I thought
Babylon Posted 12 September 2011 Posted 12 September 2011 Have we improved at all since the Reading game? Well I believed there was an improvement in each game since then (Having said that I didn't see Saturdays game). Against reading we couldn't even pass to each other, against Bristol we could but couldn't create anything worthwhile, forest we were dominant for 65 minutes, and Southampton we had the best of the first half against a team in form. Others have said we've not improved at all. You can believe who you want really as it's all opinions.
He's not bald Posted 12 September 2011 Posted 12 September 2011 A Question to anyone who has been to most of the games so far. Have we improved at all since the Reading game? We were better against Southampton in the first half, fell away in the second (looked like a fitness issue to me) Went backwards on Saturday, probably the worse display of the season, sure Barnsley were up for it but they are not a quality side and should have been cannon fodder if we are serious promotion contenders!
The Year Of The Fox Posted 12 September 2011 Posted 12 September 2011 A Question to anyone who has been to most of the games so far. Have we improved at all since the Reading game? Yes, for 45 mins v forest and 45 v southampton.
chili_con_carne Posted 12 September 2011 Posted 12 September 2011 anyone else find it strange how he has exactly the same record here as he did at man city. MAN CITY - Played - 45 - Won - 19 - Drew - 11 - Lost - 15 - 42.22 % L C F C - Played ------47 - Won - 21 - Drew - 11 - Lost - 15 - 44.68 %

Or the fact we went from a 4-4-2(first half) to a 4-3-3 in the second which aloud Southampton to dictact play?
