Bert Posted 25 October 2011 Posted 25 October 2011 So Sousa being in the crowd was a coincidence during the playoffs? Seriously don't know what your problem is.... He was there as Mandaric's guest. The consortium that own us now approached O'Neill.
Lambert09 Posted 25 October 2011 Posted 25 October 2011 Going to get slated for this but I think I would prefer to get Mark Hughes.....he is a top quality manager and would be perfect here. I love everything about MON but he had his time and I would not want to have my incredible feelings towards the guy ruined by a poor return. Still think I will get naked and do a back flip if we got him though
dannythefox Posted 25 October 2011 Posted 25 October 2011 I posted on this earlier somewhere that a friend if mine knows Martin very well indeed and last time round he was suppoedly heard to say that you can never go back although he had a special time with Leicester, you can forget the money too, Martin is not the type of guy to come for money, there would be much bigger obsticles than money I can assure you. I hope all these rumours turn out to be true because we will need a massive personality to replace Sven but I doubt it will be Martin somehow. I hope I'm proven wrong!!!! I really hope we can make it happen if theres money to spend if we need it you never no it could happen he must no were serious now with the money we've already spent like i say you never no. But to be fair he deserves to be at a prem club and is probably waiting for the right time to pounce i just wish it would come out now so i can stop watching sky sports!
foxjack Posted 25 October 2011 Posted 25 October 2011 All depends on what we could offer him and if we had money to spend. Make him an offer he cant refuse MON is a bigger man than that, thats what makes him such an asset to any club. I think hes top of everyones wish list, but i dont see it...... Fingers crossed though!!
Jacnah Posted 25 October 2011 Posted 25 October 2011 I think we have more chance of seeing Jesus in the helm. If I'm wrong I will print this post and eat it. do you think we could tempt him?
Saxondale Posted 25 October 2011 Author Posted 25 October 2011 do you think we could tempt him? Jesus wouldn't go down well in Thailand.
Ashley Posted 25 October 2011 Posted 25 October 2011 MON going to 1/4 means serious money has gone on him, someone must know something OR people just trying to make a quick buck at 7/2?
gazfox9 Posted 25 October 2011 Posted 25 October 2011 I too don't believe he'll return. Would love it if he did though. The only thing that makes me think it could happen is that when he left before he made it quite clear the club required a new stadium and more funds for new players. Both those are now there............... maybe, just maybe???
Leicesterpool Posted 25 October 2011 Posted 25 October 2011 Never say never, for all we know MON could be shaking hands with the owners right now.

topharry123 Posted 25 October 2011 Posted 25 October 2011 I have to agree with everyone who says it's unlikely. If I were O'Neill, I wouldn't want to risk ruining my status as a great amongst the fans of a former club. However, with him still out of a manager's job, and with the situation the club currently finds itself in - desperate for immediate success, and in possession of the necessary time and funds it will take - there hasn't been a better time for him to consider returning. I don't want to get anyone's hopes up, as it surely is a long shot - I'm just saying I don't think it's out of the question. Imagine if he came back though and actually did the business, that would increase his reputation as a great to god like levels! I do agree it's unlikely but i'd love to see him come back and have similar success to what he did back then. Might increase our chances of having Heskey back as well )
iancognito Posted 25 October 2011 Posted 25 October 2011 The bookies offer me great odds on the first scorer every week, doesn't mean they know anything, as was proved the last time MON was linked with a comeback. And as I recall when he was here he was odds on favourite for Leeds and countless other jobs. It'll end up being a name no-one's mentioned
Grewks Posted 25 October 2011 Posted 25 October 2011 Steve Howard: "The bookies have slashed the prices, and they are usually right". when did he say this?

Fox92 Posted 25 October 2011 Posted 25 October 2011 How many more ridiculous emotive drivelly posts are gonna be plastered on here today I wonder? What 'void' left by Sven? He's acheived nothing with us, fooked up his tactics, seemingly allowed the players to take control and just been given the boot.. Just think what you're writing and stop spouting such rubbish! Now, when Little or MON left... THEN there were voids to fill.. Because both had actually been successful with us.. Not 'potentially', not 'in 6 mths time'... I still do not understand and never have done, right since his appointment, the kissing of the arse of Sven that has gone on on this forum... Fill 'the void'.. Christ on a bike Good post, which I agree with. when did he say this? Saw it on Sky Sports News when he was talking to a reporter while leaving the training ground. Just discussing O'Neill's return and he said what I posted.
dannythefox Posted 25 October 2011 Posted 25 October 2011 Steve Howard: "The bookies have slashed the prices, and they are usually right". He dint say that, he said well the bookies have him as favourite and there not usually wrong!
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 25 October 2011 Posted 25 October 2011 MON "uncontactable". Perhaps he fainted with excitement about managing Leicester again and fell awkwardly and smashed his phone?
Happy Fox Posted 25 October 2011 Posted 25 October 2011 Perhaps he fainted with excitement about managing Leicester again and fell awkwardly and smashed his phone? Or maybe he is mulling it over, crossroads
Saladin Posted 25 October 2011 Posted 25 October 2011 MON "uncontactable". call that a backup plan by the owners?? .. Sacking was blatently a knee jerk reaction.
gazfox9 Posted 25 October 2011 Posted 25 October 2011 MON "uncontactable". Maybe not a bad thing. We all know MON is not the type of guy to jump straight in and declare his interest! Just making us sweat a bit.
