My expectations arent fulfilled but tbh I hyped myself up abit too much, Id say 8/10 but if this was not called 'GTA' It'd say 9/10. All that said the vast majority of my playing time on IV was online and this ones isnt even included yet.

 

 

Story started to drag on me a few missions after Trev arrived in the City. I felt there should of been some more heists. The Ending I did (The Hard Way) was ridiculous, Im not going into detail but it was just stupid and didnt feel right. Thought the three protagonists didnt click well at times(without the storyline included). And the Mission medal scoring system is ridiculous with all the hidden sometimes vague targets that would be tedious to methodically do them all, anyone who tells me they bothered getting 100% in all missions is getting laughed at. 

 

But, with all that and more I cant be arsed to go on about right now, the game lets me drive a range of cars into a wide range of people, objects and things, lets me shoot stuff and bang strippers; again and again and again.

 

Feel it is an improvement on IV and the new features are great, as with every game it has its faults and its bullshitbut its still one of the best out there. Bring on the Multi-Player

 

 

 

Edit : White text for half spoilers - Just done the other two endings and theres some deep stuuf for the player and quite dark of R" but you get what you play for in the end I spose.

I'm loving it so far rarely ever play computer games but bought this and glad I finally have a day off tomorrow to play it properly, up to the 1st mission with Trevor and Michael in LA at the moment

Finally got round to getting this today, went for the PS3 version since the 360 disc drive is on the way out.

 

Surprise, surprise, I load it up on the PS3, having taken it out of the box for the first time in about 4 years, I get as far as the initial load up screen and then nothing...

 

Come out to XMB and there's no sign of the game at all.  Try all manner of DVDs, Blurays, other games, nothing.

 

Absolutely fed up.  I take it the drive is well and truly ******.

 

Now this game is going to cost me another £200 to get another console.  Any chance it'll run on the 12GB machine?  Would save me £50 on a new machine if it did.

 

So much for getting PS4 in Nov, can't see it happening now.  Not splashing out £600 on two consoles in the space of two months.

I thought it was closer to half of that but that might be just the main story missions.

Pretty much spot on. 69 story missions.

The mind boggles to how much it would take to see everything in this game - 100% is going to take months without a walkthrough, and GTA Online launches with over 500 missions (although I seem to remember hearing the figure is closer to 700). The best thing is that absolutely all of it is quality. Even the towing jobs were enjoyable thanks to JB Smoove's Chakra Attack show and all the other quality talk radio. Ommmmmm!

Did my first heist earlier, took about $5mil, personally found it a piece of piss but a cracking experience nontheless.

 

When I was driving through the sewer I just smiled and thought wow, this really is amazing the fact they've actually put that kind of effort into making a proper sewage system is unbelievable.

 

I've got up to meeting Trevor and killing a lot of the Lost members. That was a shame - I quite liked them on TLAD

Personally I think the Lost were by far the worst and least likeable characters in the entire GTA universe, so I very much loved Trevor's early missions. And particularly his introduction, which was most unexpected and brilliant. "C*nt! C*nt! C*nt!.... C*NT!"
