Babylon Posted 29 October 2011 Posted 29 October 2011 There might be a seniors season ticket going cheap if this happens - or a whole lot of other potential appointments. I'm sick of functional football dished up by people who don't seem to give a shit about exciting the fans. If all you want is good football perhaps you should just change teams every year, it would save us all the ear ache of you moaning about it constantly. Why would he come back?

Why would he come back? Good question the only reason I can think of is that Mad Mandy has left the building and you would hope he wants to finish the job he left, gets to spend money.
cc_star Posted 29 October 2011 Posted 29 October 2011 Of course he would, why wouldn't he? they are talented outfit would get the best out of them, he can bring back Hobbs if he wants to Yes please. 100 times the player SSL is & would be pushing captain calamity Mills much harder than SSL & Ball (as LCB w/ Bamba reverting to RCB) are capable of
Guest Col city fan Posted 29 October 2011 Posted 29 October 2011 There might be a seniors season ticket going cheap if this happens - or a whole lot of other potential appointments. I'm sick of functional football dished up by people who don't seem to give a shit about exciting the fans. This yearning of yours for all out attacking, flowing football game in game out is getting ridiculous. This is a tough division and results sometimes need grinding out. Pearson was very adept at this, as he is proving to be at hull. I think he'd be potty to come back IMO.
Happy Fox Posted 29 October 2011 Author Posted 29 October 2011 One question does Nigel have a rapport with a certain Kevin Keegan?
Jace Posted 29 October 2011 Posted 29 October 2011 I wouldn't mind if he gets the job but I wouldn't expect great things straight away. Last time he took over a team that most half decent managers could of won league 1 with and then the momentum of that team knowing how to win games took us into the playoffs. I do believe though that Leicester team reached its potential and this is a very different team if he wants another chance wouldn't hold it against him if it didn't work out. Rather have him any day than most of the other candidates
Guest MattP Posted 29 October 2011 Posted 29 October 2011 Pearson, of course, take him back ASAP. Lennon - laughable, would end up in league 1.
whoareyaaa Posted 29 October 2011 Posted 29 October 2011 It would be good to see Pearson back he did some good things down here in the time he was given, I would love to see him back as he knows how to grind out results and with a bit of extra money he would do wonders down here. shouldnt have left in the first place. If we dont play the most attractive football under pearson at least he gets us results.
Happy Fox Posted 29 October 2011 Author Posted 29 October 2011 It is a results business, Pearson knows this division well, I maintain his work ethic and determination will lead us to the promised land, he will without a shadow of a doubt get this team playing to its full potential.
Kurrif Posted 29 October 2011 Posted 29 October 2011 I will admit I,m still in the "Sven shouldnt have gone "camp and to me it only made sense if the owners already had Oneill lined up which they clearly didnt. This makes me seriously doubt that they have a clue what they are doing. However thats all water under the bridge and I must admit I have a lot of time for Pearson so a Pearson return might be more attractive than most of the names we have seen linked. Problem is, whilst it was Mandy that sacked him wasnt this because he wasnt seen as big enough or glamorous enough for the prospective Thai owners? If so it actually seems like Karma if they end up having to go cap in hand. TOP has lost an awful lot of credibility this week in my eyes, I hope he pulls something out of the bag and proves me wrong. :scarf: :scarf:
Joe. Posted 29 October 2011 Posted 29 October 2011 Open arms and all that. Can't see it happening, mind.
Bryn Posted 29 October 2011 Posted 29 October 2011 I would be ecstatic with the return of a man who did nothing but good with his time here, with limited resources. I expect he is happy where he is though.
Vlad The Impaler Posted 29 October 2011 Posted 29 October 2011 I actually thought we played some decent football under NP at times, it was nowhere near as hoofball or unnattractive as some people are making out. Also, quit with the 'any manager could of got us out of league 1' rubbish, it's laughable. Would love to see him back, the best manager we had since MON.
Tielemans63 Posted 29 October 2011 Posted 29 October 2011 He's exactly the sort of personality we could do with right now. I'd welcome him back with open arms however I think he'll stay at Hull as he seems a pretty loyal fella.
lestajigs Posted 29 October 2011 Posted 29 October 2011 This is getting rather inbarresing for the club
Babylon Posted 29 October 2011 Posted 29 October 2011 This is getting rather inbarresing for the club Why? Has someone turned us down? Why is newspapers linking us to managers embarrassing?
lestajigs Posted 29 October 2011 Posted 29 October 2011 Why? Has someone turned us down? Why is newspapers linking us to managers embarrassing? Yea I think being linked ti every Tom dick and Harry is inbarresing, even if it is paper talk
ajthefox Posted 29 October 2011 Posted 29 October 2011 Would much rather him than a good 90% of the names mentioned but I highly doubt he'd come back, and that's if this is even true. Come to think of it, I'll bet he's sat in Hull laughing his tits off at this. He was effectively booted out because he wasn't high profile enough and now he is supposedly in the frame for the job.
seenitall Posted 29 October 2011 Posted 29 October 2011 He's exactly the sort of personality we could do with right now. Guest shearfox Posted 29 October 2011 Posted 29 October 2011 I would be happy to see Pearson return, he never should have left we have been going backwards since.
thybluefox Posted 29 October 2011 Posted 29 October 2011 Appreciate what he did, but I don't think I could go back to watching his style of football again.
OzFox Posted 29 October 2011 Posted 29 October 2011 "He had a big smile on his face." I bet he did. Probably wetting himself at the goings on at Leicester since he left.
