seenitall Posted 31 October 2011 Posted 31 October 2011 Pearson is doing a great job at Hull..little surprise there for me.. Why he'd want to come back and sort our bloody mess out God only knows... but we are much bigger than Hull and he could get something very big going on down here We'll see anyway.. theres been soo much speculation over the weekend (and No, I'm not having a dig at Bert!!) that God knows what to believe. How come he is doing a 'great' job there - he takes over a Premier league team newly relegated and manages to keep them down year one and have 5 points more than us this year and he's doing a great job - the line between 'great' and 'shite' is 5 points after a quarter of the season??? Why are we in more of a mess than Hull? They will lose their parachute payments at the end of this year and even if NP scraped promotion through the play offs they would have to buy a whole new team or rely on a load of Leicester rejects and they still play Barmby FFS!!!!! He must be a hundred years old! There are loads of teams with better managers than we had but until last week no one on earth would have put Hull and NP in that bracket - desperate desperate times and a major cock up by Top - why does everyone defend this clown, because he spent the price of a Wigan midfielder on our team??
look_back_in_amber Posted 31 October 2011 Posted 31 October 2011 I think you will find the flies in the ointment were Lee Hoos & Mandaric and the relationship had soured long before the takeover, they are history now they have gone! he never met the Thai owners!!! Big Nige still has plenty of friends within the club perhaps they have influenced the owners ! i think you know where i am going with this! MON is a different kettle of fish yes we all wanted him back but seriously why bother taking over at Leicester at 60 when in 8 months you could be managing Spurs in the Champions League or maybe England! Megabucks yes! well if somebody offered you a fabulous new working enviroment and a 20 million kitty to start with! and double maybe triple your wages or more and lucrative bonuses you would be a fool not to be seriously tempted! Loyalty in football! wake up there is none!! You can stamp your feet as much as you like Adam but that will not bring NP back to the KP. Whether YOU realise/appreciate or not, although you are in a very small minority, the fact that NP has loyalty stamped all over him makes little difference. Loyalty is a major part of NP's make-up, the fact that there is very little of it in football today is one of the many key elements that make him such a special manager, and a major reason why you'll not see him manage Leicester again any time soon. Ask your peers mate, see whether they think someone as loyal as NP would walk out on an appreciative board, squad and fanbase.

Babylon Posted 31 October 2011 Posted 31 October 2011 Ask your peers mate, see whether they think someone as loyal as NP would walk out on an appreciative board, squad and fanbase. He's already walked out on two of three before For the record I don't think he'd come back for one minute.
dannythefox Posted 31 October 2011 Posted 31 October 2011 I would like him back but don't think he would come back here. Hull are going on nice and steady and he has the team how he wants it now. If he came back here Fryatt would be back within days and everyone would be back moaning AGAIN!
Mack Posted 31 October 2011 Posted 31 October 2011 Bet Stringers shitting it If this happens I would love to see his face when he found out.
Reynard Bleu Posted 31 October 2011 Posted 31 October 2011 Would be chuffed if we are able to get Nigel Pearson back, shouldn't of left in the first place. Would be even more chuffed if we got Jesus.
He's not bald Posted 31 October 2011 Posted 31 October 2011 What an almighty mess this is, bet you we get someone completely out of left field in the end and probably unpopular as well!
He's not bald Posted 31 October 2011 Posted 31 October 2011 What's Jesus' managerial record like? He saves teams and has performed miracles in the past! Not a big fan of crosses and likes everything done by the book
GLC Posted 31 October 2011 Posted 31 October 2011 If Pearsons returns, does that mean i return of Fryatt and Hobbs
lcfc_amie Posted 31 October 2011 Posted 31 October 2011 http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2055593/Nigel-Pearson-wanted-Leicester-City.html Don't know if everybody's already seen this. It says he's front runner for the job. Got some quotes too, but it's just really repeating what he said in the interview on the radio.
Suffolk_fox Posted 31 October 2011 Posted 31 October 2011 What's Jesus' managerial record like? Hopeless when it comes to dealing with crosses..... Edit - Grrrr, got beaten to it!
dannythefox Posted 31 October 2011 Posted 31 October 2011 If Pearsons returns, does that mean i return of Fryatt and Hobbs I would place a £100 bet on it!
hackneyfox Posted 31 October 2011 Posted 31 October 2011 Please not NFP. The man that signed Weale, Hobbs, Morrisson, N'Guessing, Fryatt And gave Dyer a 4 year contract.
Matt Posted 31 October 2011 Posted 31 October 2011 Please not NFP. The man that signed Weale, Hobbs, Morrisson, N'Guessing, Fryatt And gave Dyer a 4 year contract. Also the man who got the best out of those players, and got them playing as a playoff/promotion chasing team? Is it coincidence all these players suddenly turned poor when Pearson left? Is it coincidence 2 of those players (And maybe 3 if you include Waghorn, although not sure how he is getting on so maybe you can't include him ) have followed him to Hull and are in a playoff/promotion chasing position currently?
Babylon Posted 31 October 2011 Posted 31 October 2011 Please not NFP. The man that signed Weale, Hobbs, Morrisson, N'Guessing, Fryatt And gave Dyer a 4 year contract. Be fair, all but DNG were decent under him.
Libertine Posted 31 October 2011 Posted 31 October 2011 Wasn't it Sousa who gave Dyer that contract anyway?
Smudge Posted 31 October 2011 Posted 31 October 2011 Please not NFP. The man that signed Weale, Hobbs, Morrisson, N'Guessing, Fryatt And gave Dyer a 4 year contract. Fryatt was signed by Craig Levein wasn't he?

[/quote You seem to know him well! if this is the case then please enlighten us!! If you are not worried about this then why do you need to keep checking the Foxes Forum just chill mate! just think a week ago he wasn't even in the betting ! check todays Daily Mail there is no smoke without fire these stories wont go away, in my experience it is a strong possibility ! If Nigel is happy working at a club that could scrape through the playoffs with no history of winning anything and no future when it reaches the Premier League then good luck to him but i would like to think he has some ambition.
Matt Posted 31 October 2011 Posted 31 October 2011 Wasn't it Sousa who gave Dyer that contract anyway? Correct.
hackneyfox Posted 31 October 2011 Posted 31 October 2011 Wasn't NFP touting his arse around league clubs before he was sacked?
fox_favourite Posted 31 October 2011 Posted 31 October 2011 Just thought I would throw another view about his comments on Saturday after the game, just to even things out a bit. It just proves how different people read quotes in different ways. this is hull and east riding I still think it's strange that he didn't say "I not leaving, I'm happy here" but it might be just the way he words it. I noticed a poster earlier mentioned about his loyalty and that maybe a factor. Whether he still feels let down by Leicester by the way he left the club, or he sees Leicester in a different light is anyone guess. Only he knows?! Can I see him coming back? Well, maybe but I think he's more likely to stay at Hull. The Hull board would make it difficult I would have thought if we did make an approach...
Houdini Logic Posted 31 October 2011 Posted 31 October 2011 Wasn't NFP touting his arse around league clubs before he was sacked? I don't think I've ever read a less true statement than this
surrifox Posted 31 October 2011 Posted 31 October 2011 on the minus side he couldnt get anything out of campbell who went on to get blackpool promoted- so Np v Beckford will be interesting
