Simmo86 Posted 3 December 2011 Posted 3 December 2011 So how do we prevent being dominated in midfield, a defensive midfielder? Possibly or central midfielders who can keep the ball and control the tempo of the game
Guest Col city fan Posted 3 December 2011 Posted 3 December 2011 Yeah cos the teams who went up last year were just packed with superstars weren't they? Gally is a useful squad player as is Danns. As for Beckford, I doubt there are many teams in this division who wouldn't like him as part of their striking options. Beckford, Beckford, Beckford... Fed up hearing about when he's gonna 'get his form', 'gel', 'settle in' et cetera et fookin cetera!! Getting boring now We can either continue to go round in circles and be also rans or bin the cvnt(s) and get in some quality and go for the jugular. I hope Pearson does this. And if anyone continues to argue that Matt Mills is worth five odd million quid then the farce goes on... And finally.. Stop all this nonsense about squad players.. Are you that easily satisfied? If Danns and Gally are good enough to start in our first team then they should be good enough week in, week out I have a lot of trust in Pearson to sort the wheat from the chaff.
Happy Fox Posted 3 December 2011 Posted 3 December 2011 Possibly or central midfielders who can keep the ball and control the tempo of the game Adam Clayton?, Jonny Howson, Peter Whittingham?

We all know Mills isn't worth that kind of money, but he's a very good defender in this division
Simmo86 Posted 3 December 2011 Posted 3 December 2011 Adam Clayton?, Jonny Howson, Peter Whittingham? No chance of getting any of them, but a Clayton type player would do
Happy Fox Posted 3 December 2011 Posted 3 December 2011 No chance of getting any of them, but a Clayton type player would do What makes you say that? we have wonga, NP will get us in the playoffs come January so league position shouldn't be a factor
Guest Col city fan Posted 3 December 2011 Posted 3 December 2011 We all know Mills isn't worth that kind of money, but he's a very good defender in this division Based on what? How many matches have we already lost this season, home and away and he's been sent off twice already? He can't be that fookin good can he?
Simmo86 Posted 3 December 2011 Posted 3 December 2011 What makes you say that? we have wonga, NP will get us in the playoffs come January so league position shouldn't be a factor Why would they leave for us? We'll all be more or less be in and around the playoffs come Jan
Simmo86 Posted 3 December 2011 Posted 3 December 2011 Based on what? How many matches have we already lost this season, home and away and he's been sent off twice already? He can't be that fookin good can he? Based on the fact we've kept 8 clean sheets this season, based on the fact after a shaky start he's been pretty much dominant. Which other centre half would you rather have in this league than Mills?
Ashley Posted 3 December 2011 Posted 3 December 2011 Based on what? How many matches have we already lost this season, home and away and he's been sent off twice already? He can't be that fookin good can he? Everything I read from you on this forum, is negative. Do you even support Leicester City?
MC Prussian Posted 3 December 2011 Posted 3 December 2011 Just seen the highlights on the BBC. Matt Mills was deservedly sent off, the second little touch with his foot was intentional and prevented McLean from scoring for sure. EDIT: And Bamba's clumsy challenge on Fryatt should've given Hull another penalty.
Mike the Metal Ed Posted 3 December 2011 Posted 3 December 2011 Everything I read from you on this forum, is negative. Do you even support Leicester City? Apparently you have to be a miserable bleeder to support City these days.

Freeman's Wharfer Posted 3 December 2011 Posted 3 December 2011 What a disgraceful set of highlights. So Fryatt's nothing shout for a penalty and Rosenior's poor control are better highlights than maybe showing us the clumsy barging of Hobbs into the back of Nugent when he was clean through? Or Dyer's appeal in the second half? Or when Gallagher could have squared it to Fernandes? Pretty sure there were more chances we have 11 vs 11 too. There was only one story they wanted to tell there.
Brooksy Posted 3 December 2011 Posted 3 December 2011 Definitely a peno. Sending off? No chance, schmeichel would have got to the ball before Mclean.
Finchy Posted 3 December 2011 Posted 3 December 2011 Definitely a peno. Sending off? No chance, schmeichel would have got to the ball before Mclean. Yeah the ball was as good as in Kasper's hands when Mills tripped the guy. However I can't get over the stupidity of Mills, why the hell would you do that.
Callabinho Posted 4 December 2011 Posted 4 December 2011 Mills is an idiot, the linesman could have seen that as a kick out at the lad, why he did it is beyond me. Can we really argue the red? I'd let St.Ledger have the place now until Mills earns his place back.

EDIT: And Bamba's clumsy challenge on Fryatt should've given Hull another penalty. Strongle disagree. It was shoulder to shoulder and never enough to make Fryatt go down. If that's a penalty then you're gonna see 5 penalties a game every game.

I'd let St.Ledger have the place now until Mills earns his place back. It was a stupid thing to do, still don't think it's a red though.
J.Lisemore Posted 4 December 2011 Posted 4 December 2011 Fryatt falls over his own shoelaces and all i hear is "I've seen them given" ****ing embarrassing.
