Jimmy Posted 17 December 2011 Posted 17 December 2011 Schmeichel Peltier Mills Tunchev Konchesky Danns Fernandes Abe Nugent Beckford Schlupp the current midfield isn't working and we don't have any wingers so go back to the system which worked last season, Nugent played as the wide striker for Pompey last season and between the 3 they can interchange to keep the defenders guessing. all 3 midfielders are players that use the ball quickly and play the pass & move game well and Abe/Fernandes can play the holding role when needed
FrankieADZ Posted 17 December 2011 Posted 17 December 2011 more concerned about Pompey on the 31st.....12:15 kick off....what the dickens?!!!!
lcfcadam Posted 17 December 2011 Posted 17 December 2011 I don't want to be harsh, but please **** off. How you can even dare to think about the next match after the farce we witnessed today?
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 17 December 2011 Posted 17 December 2011 Kaspar Peltier Mills Tunchev Konchesky Gallagher King Danns Dyer Nugent Beckford
Subs: Howard, Abe, Bamba, Fernandes, Schlupp Typically they have now picked up lately but i dont think Ipswich are that good and we should beat them. Though a lot of work needs to be done before the game.
Jimmy Posted 17 December 2011 Author Posted 17 December 2011 I don't want to be harsh, but please **** off. How you can even dare to think about the next match after the farce we witnessed today? because its more important that today's (as its over so nothing can be done now), which we have many threads running on
Guesty Posted 17 December 2011 Posted 17 December 2011 If we go 4-3-3 for the next game which I think we will. I reackon Pearson will still pick King and Wellens. Only formation King seems able to play in. I'd like to see Danns givin a go in the center as he keeps getting stuck out of position and having poor games. Seems like the only Central Mid that we have who actually is even slightly capable of running forwards with the ball.
acooling08 Posted 17 December 2011 Posted 17 December 2011 MUST WIN. Kasper Konch Mills SSL Peltier Abe Fernandes Danns King Nugent Beckford God we need a new midfield!!
VinceNoir Posted 17 December 2011 Posted 17 December 2011 Not bothered at the moment. Whoever plays will probably **** it up somehow.

Narborough_fox Posted 17 December 2011 Posted 17 December 2011 4-1-2-1-2. Kasper, Pelts, Tunch, Mills, Konch, Abe, Fernandes, Johnson, Schlupp (AM/CF), Beckford, Nugent.

I'm not against to your side though but not sure if Konchesky is good enough in attack to play LWB
darko2k7 Posted 17 December 2011 Posted 17 December 2011 T This is the team i'd go for! (RW) was the only position I was as to unsure who to put there

Happy Fox Posted 17 December 2011 Posted 17 December 2011 I will be seething if NP resorts to the same midfield, if he does he hasn't got a f**king clue imo.
Fox92 Posted 17 December 2011 Posted 17 December 2011 more concerned about Pompey on the 31st.....12:15 kick off....what the dickens?!!!! It's on the television, I think. 'm not against to your side though but not sure if Konchesky is good enough in attack to play LWB He plays left back, left wing back and left midfield near enough every game because Dyer has this consistancy of coming inside.
Jimmy Posted 17 December 2011 Author Posted 17 December 2011 He plays left back, left wing back and left midfield near enough every game because Dyer has this consistancy of coming inside. true but Dyer does at least offer some cover when he attacks and help in defending
Guest ttfn Posted 17 December 2011 Posted 17 December 2011 4-2-1-3 Schmeichel Peltier Tunchev Bamba Konchesky Abe Fernandes Danns Schlupp Beckford Nugent Subs: Weale, King, Mills, Dyer, Gallagher I do think 4-3-3 or variant is the way forward. We must shore up the centre of the park.
old koppite Posted 18 December 2011 Posted 18 December 2011 Bit worried about this one after watching Ipswich's second half on telly against Barnsley, their win yesterday, Jewell looking cocky before the game, and it's cheating Chopra who seems to like scoring against us with an experienced strong midfield. In a way sorry I'm too far away to go to game, but on the other hand.......
Number 6 Posted 18 December 2011 Posted 18 December 2011 Ipswich won their last 2, worried about this one tbh. Think we need a bit of a shake up: Kasper Peltier St Ledger Bamba Konchesky Abe King Fernandes Danns Schlupp Nugent Subs: Beckford Danns Tunchev Johnson Howard
thejfox Posted 18 December 2011 Posted 18 December 2011 110% the team that should play agree with schlupp on the left, use his pace more
Fox92 Posted 18 December 2011 Posted 18 December 2011 Schmeichel Peltier -- St. Ledger -- Tunchev -- Konchesky Danns -- Abe -- Fernandes Nugent -- Beckford -- Schlupp Subs: Mills/Bamba, Wellens, Dyer, ?, Howard (The "?" stands for an academy striker. Just get him on the bench. Yeah, he will never have played at this level, but, he will offer something far different to Howard should we need it). I think this match will be difficult. I should think Ipswich will attack instead of parking the bus. It may be an advantage because if that happens it may well be an open game, but I still think we need to be wary. Ipswich are a good side, with goals all over the pitch.
Happy Fox Posted 18 December 2011 Posted 18 December 2011 Wellens, King, Dyer and Gallagher and Howard will all start 100% guaranteed
RowlattsFox Posted 18 December 2011 Posted 18 December 2011 Been saying 4-3-3 should be how we play for a few games now, especially until we sign a decent winger or two. Our midfield players are best suited to being in a 3. this formation is only good if we play it right, as in not 4-5-1. Kasper Peltier Mills Bamba Konchesky Fernandes Abe Danns Nugent Beckford Gallagher Subs: Weale, St Ledger, King, Dyer, Schlupp
