Im dissappointed NP hasnt tried out all the players at his disposal, especially in midfield

Id change team to:

Kasper

Pelts

Mills

Tunch

Konch

Dyer (rhs)

Abe

Fernandes

Shlupp

Nugent

Beckford

Whatever team he picks in sensing our chances will go in soon, im expecting 2-0 win Becks Schlupp

Yes Churchill I'd like to see what Pantsil can do under a new manager. And Pelts has been good but Kitchandro was right.. He was not marking Sharp for the second goal. The time he had to shape himself and smack it home was too long..

I don't know much about what Pantsil can do and am not against shaking it all up for Ipswich.

Just as an aside.. We needed three points yesterday too and didn't get them...

I wouldn't drop Pelts myself, your right he should of been marking Sharp but everyone is going to make a mistake. I would like to see maybe Tunch and Mills at the back see how they get on? The midfield needs a shake up but i would still keep Nugent and Beckford up top, Beckford seems to be slowly progressing under Pearson and i am preety confident he will start bagging some goals soon.

quite like the look of that. It's not a side that is going to strike fear into any teams but it's just a case of making the best of what you have for Pearson atm. Unfortunately I can only see the transfer window as our way too sort this season out

I quite like it too, but I see few changes for Boxing day. NFP seems to accept that Fernandes, Johnson and Abe are all on the way out so they won't play, he does not appear to have much time for Danns or Schlupp so his options are pretty limited.

I feel that at no time this season have we got the best out of some of our better players, Mills, Fernandes, Danns, Abe, Beckford have all underperformed or failed to get any substantial game time so I fear we are in for another round of changes as NFP looks to rebuild.

It is going to make the playoffs a pretty long shot, disapointing really.

Got my ticket's for the xmas home matches :thumbup:

Ipswich must for some reason be a premium match :| but buying the Portsmouth ticket at the same time is just a tenner.

4-1-2-1-2. Kasper, Pelts, Tunch, Mills, Konch, Abe, Fernandes, Johnson, Schlupp (AM/CF), Beckford, Nugent.

Bloody hell Narborough, it's a football team you're picking, not a conga line!! personally I'd go for 1-1-1-1-1-1-1-1-1-1-1, at least it'd be a nice view from the East stand.

theres going to be changes for sure. Millsa cert to return i would also start Tunch. The Wellens/King combination isnt working, i doubt hed drop both most probably one with Fernandes at top of replacement list. Personally id put Dyer on the right drop Gally and bring in Schlupp wide left. Whatever the team/formation we got to start winning sequence especially at home. Wouldnt mind seeing a change in the squad actually managed to get work off for once so i can go. Every game is tough for us but i reckon we may nick it.

I got a bit of a bad feeling about this one...

The tractor boys blow very hot and cold but, on their day, are capable of beating anyone in the division.

We are generally pretty crap at present with few in- form alternatives to replace our out-of- form first eleven.

I can see them sneaking it 1-2 and I'm not sure whether the formation or whatavya is gonna make a major difference..

Miserable bastard I know! Just feel bad about this one....

Leicester not top of the Championship: Exclusive

Following on from Lee Bowyer's belief that Leicester City are not unbeatable, we can exclusively reveal that they aren't top of the league.

In what is bound to be a huge shock to anyone who hasn't seen the league table/ can't read/ knows nothing about football, Leicester are only 11th, which is 11 places away from the top.

"If we were top we'd be doing better than everyone else", said Mr St. Atetheobvious. "But we're not because other teams have done better than us", he concluded.

Richie Wellens and his Leicester City team-mates will be experiencing something incredibly rare this Christmas – a day off.

Wellens, who has three sons, has revealed that manager Nigel Pearson has given the City players Christmas Day off to spend with their families because of the less frenetic festive fixture programme this year.

Usually, the games are packed in over Christmas, but City have just one game around Christmas Day, the Boxing Day visit of Ipswich Town.

They then have two games in three days over New Year, with the visit of Portsmouth on New Year's Eve followed by a trip to Crystal Palace on Monday, January 2.

Wellens, right, has welcomed the chance to spend more time with his young family.

"I think, in previous years, we have had something like four games in 10 days, and that was a bit stupid," he said.

"From a club's point of view, it is good to get extra revenue, but it was getting a little silly and the players were getting very fatigued. This year is a little bit better.

"I have three boys so to get Christmas Day off is great. Usually, I am in training and they have to stay as patient as possible and wait until I get back to open their presents.

"But we have Christmas Day off this year, which will be better for the players with family and the staff."

Just because there are less games, it does not mean the players will allow their professionalism to slip over Christmas, Wellens said.

"A lot of us have been in the game since we were 16, so it isn't new to us," he added.

"I have never been out on Christmas Eve, New Year's Eve or over the Christmas period. You are a long time retired so you can eat and drink as much alcohol as you want then."

Wellens has been a virtual ever-present at the heart of City's midfield this season, and the 31-year-old admitted it has been hard work.

City have played several midfield formations but, under new manager Pearson, they are playing a more conventional 4-4-2.

Wellens believes it does give them more options, but it has meant that he and partner Andy King are often outnumbered.

"Since we changed we seem to be playing against sides with three in midfield, so me and Kingy have been up against three," he said.

"That has been difficult, but sometimes when we play the diamond it is all short paces and slow build-up, you don't get the switch of play, so this system gives us more options on occasions."

Maybe not Howard, but Pearson will stick with the same tried and failed midfield. It's not in his nature to make quickfire changes, whatever rhetoric he may have spouted after yesterday's fiasco.

I note Jimmy Bullard is in the Ipswich side. He'll be looking to prove a point to the manager who dumped him at his previous club.

This game has all the makings of a Christmas horror show..

Hoping howard does not start on boxing day, would take beckford or even schlupp every day of the week. The amount of times Howard makes me facepalm during a match is outstanding.
