Billy Sharp Not Signing

We might as well play the f**king youth team at this rate they would probably show at least a bit more effort than these shower of shite performances.

I don't think Billy's decision is necessarily a reflection on LC as a club. Admittedly he's not as motivated by money as some, but he's still very ambitious. He's had a really tough few months and perhaps at this moment in time, being around his family and the support he receives is more important than facing a new challenge football wise. He will, without question leave Rovers at sometime in the not too distant future and when that time comes everyone connected with DRFC will wish him well.

I think it's due to him, hearing about how bad we were today and he decided that joining leicester is more trouble than it's worth due to poor performances

If he doesn't want to play for us then fvck him. I don't think a striker is our priority anyway.

I'm sure when that's pointed out to him he'll regard his decision as fully vindicated

What's your point?

If he doesn't want to come then I don't want him. There's plenty of fish in the sea and Nigel Pearson must needs look elsewhere.

i think Pearson should look elsewhere. Not for players but for himself.

And it's that sort of opinion that makes it easy to understand why he'd stay at Donny instead of coming down the M1 to us. DRFC have looked after Billy Sharp during probably the worst few months of his personal life, he's settled there and few extra quid in your pocket means nothing next to that.

Good luck and fair play to him.

Ian Stringer on Twitter has said that Dean Saunders was interviewed after today's game and said that Billy Sharp had said that he wasn't interested in any of the offers he's had.

If that's true then it's back to the drawing board.

We might have to go last resort and try to get the best of our existing strikers (who on paper are about as good as it gets in this league).

I just feel for the fans who can't go a transfer window week without needing to see millions of pounds splashed out.

I don't/didn't want him anyway. He wouldn't be the player for us - we need a mobile target man (I can't believe we didn't go for Chris Wood!!). He is the same player as Beckford and Nugent, a player that wants the ball on the floor and he will not get that at Leicester City with our style of football.

From his point of view why would he come? We haven't progressed at all within the last year and unless you support Leicester City (like us all) you would probably see the club as a mid-table club going nowhere.

And, my view of Sharp; scored a lot of goals for poor Doncaster and Scunthorpe teams. But in a good Sheffield United team, that also played direct football like us, he didn't do anything. Not the player for us in my opinion.

You can all bleat as much as you like but the plain fact is after this display why would Sharp want come to us ? We are a club going nowhere. This season is at an end. We are a dead parrot we are deceased we are pining for the O'Neill days, face the truth.

Isn't our only victory over the last 6 games the win against CP, when we played Liam Moore and Kennedy? Admittedly not a stylish win, but at least we showed the will, grit and determination that's been so lacking in the other games. Maybe we do need to give other youngsters a go. But do we have any midfielders ready enough? I remember a few weeks ago a very positive report about Norburn's performance in a reserve/youth game, but that's the only name I know in the midfield/winger department.
