Why?

What is peoples obsession with youth players?

I always think this myself why play youth against West ham? Leeds? what and give them easy wins to boost their position in the league it's the equivalent of cutting yourself

I remember last season it went down to the last three games? and we are still in the FA cup? I thought with all the shifting sands in the Prem Champ and League 1 being in a strong top 10 position isn't necessarily a bad thing? Big clubs on there way down from the prem and from our league Forest in financial trouble and Cov in meltdown shouldn't we be thankful for "Mediocrity" i've never thought we've had a mediocre season look at your reference "Under Sven" Under Sven you say? The Former England manager? Yeah he came to Leicester and managed to find Vassell from nowhere! Seriously Darrius Vassell and he got him to sign for us i thought he was dead! not to mention Yak Naughton Bruma Van anholt Bedner. If thats our mediocre i can't wait for our exciting seasons!

What ARE you talking about?

Mediocrity is never acceptable, our shitty local rivals shouldn't be the benchmark. I'm thankful for nothing, in fact I feel like torching our stadium down.

Of course we were mediocre last season, that's why we finished in a mediocre positions, same as where we will finish this season.

The most baffling part of your post is where you use the below average players such as Vassell, Bruma, Van Aanholt and Bednar as evidence to suggest we've been doing alright.

The season isn't 'over' but we've no chance of promotion. In truth we've never been good enough to put a run together and the facts back that up. The squad has never been good enough, and I'll admit I overrated some of our summer purchases, because some of them are average at best. Add that to the fact that last season's best performers have been gash and we haven't replaced the poorer ones, and it was just never going to work.

Beating Norwich would be an upset of epic proportions at the moment, they are so far ahead of us it's unreal. They were so last season when they completely outplayed us at home. They've got better since and we've got worse.

Keep Kasper, St Ledger, Morgan, Drinkwater and Nugent. Not fussed about any of the rest.

Really? Sorry but I can't see that St Ledger has done much apart from throw his toys out of the pram. Morgan? Who knows? Frankly might be ok might be past it. We can't keep on buying new sides each year we have to have some level of consistency.

We should only replace when players want to leave or when we can replace them with better alternatives.

the thing is the championship is so tight (thats why i love it) all we need is 3 wins on the trott (big ask i know!)

that will get us right up there in the play off's!!

all we need is to believe!! :scarf:

Not over but we'll need at least a couple of good runs and maybe a four win sequence.................yeh maybe it is over!

It can happen i don't see why people don't want to be a bit optimistic hell we've had the doom and gloom brigade all season lets just cheer and get behind the boys :D

You obviously haven't seen many games in the last few weeks. St Ledger has been class and shown why (barring injury) he'll be at Euro 2012 this summer. Morgan will give us the experience and mental strength we've lacked far too often this season.

There is no way we should have to persist for ANOTHER season with overpaid, underachieving dross.

I'd add Konchesky to that list.

As said its improbable not impossible.

No chance wit the defence the way it is. Just seen the highlights and the defence is amess, we just cant defend set pieces well, the amout of times an oppostion player ahs a good hesaded chance in a game is crazy.

The second goal was unlucky, but again where were the defence for the third? Ok they pushed up high late in the game, but really it was too easy for them.

Really hope Morgan gets a chance from the start and probably with Bamba as SSL and Mills arent as godo as peopel say they are. Though I want to see SSL at RB.

I'm normally very optimistic but even i can see the season is over, these players are not good enough.

They can talk the talk but that is it.
