AdamN Posted 26 February 2012 Posted 26 February 2012 Have Cardiff ever actually been to Wembley and won?
Leicfox Posted 26 February 2012 Posted 26 February 2012 All I see is one Cardiff fan. Obviously I have no idea what was said and can only go by these pictures. Still, from those pictures, it tells me that those Liverpool fans are thugs. picking on ONE Cardiff fan from my point of view. Not saying that picking on many Cardiff fans is commendable either, but principle is still the same. I went to the play-off final with a few Blackpool mates. Cardiff fans were just randomly attacking Pool fans and throwing glass bottles from higher ground (one that nearly hit my daughter in the face), and this were all before the game. A large number that day were disgraceful and were just out to cause trouble instead of just enjoying the day. Today will be no exception.
Tielemans63 Posted 26 February 2012 Posted 26 February 2012 In an ideal world, both teams would have lost this one.
RonnieTodger Posted 26 February 2012 Posted 26 February 2012 Cardiff were superb, but I'm glad they lost on penalties, because they've done it to everyone else
Mission Unlikely Promotion Posted 26 February 2012 Posted 26 February 2012 Not sure why but i actually feel a bit sorry for Cardiff today
Northants Fox 3 Posted 26 February 2012 Posted 26 February 2012 Have Cardiff ever actually been to Wembley and won? They won the FA Cup way back in 1927 Beating Arsenal
LCFC_FAN_1995 Posted 26 February 2012 Posted 26 February 2012 Cardiff fans only pay to see there team lose at Wembley
Yojoe36 Posted 26 February 2012 Posted 26 February 2012 The biggest team Cardiff beat was us. And that was still on penos
Happy Fox Posted 26 February 2012 Posted 26 February 2012 Now they know what it is like to be on the end of a loosing penalty shootout w**kers.
Leicfox Posted 26 February 2012 Posted 26 February 2012 Does anyone know if Cardiff will take one of the English UEFA cup spots if they win? I remember when they got to the FA Cup final there was a bit of an issue about this, was it ever settled what would happen if a Welsh club won the cup. Nothing as they might as well be classed as either Scottish or English as Cardiff only have 2 actual players in their entire squad that are welsh. Dacy Blake and Robert Earnshaw (Not really welsh). lol On a serious note...I don't think they'd be allowed ?? But other doors might open like Platini sticking his nose in. As far as I am aware, the status quo is: Under UEFA rules Cardiff and Swansea cannot qualify for Europe through English competitions. They are not English teams, even though they are now part of the English FA. As such, the FA will not put them forward as a choice in case or because UEFA don't allow it. Platini however said that if Cardiff were to win the FA Cup (in 2008) that they would try and let Cardiff enter even if the FA say no.
Brainy Posted 26 February 2012 Posted 26 February 2012 What was the question directed to Jamie Carragher for him to reply the way he did?
Corky Posted 26 February 2012 Posted 26 February 2012 As an Evertonian how does it feel to see Liverpool win a trophy?
Finnegan Posted 26 February 2012 Posted 26 February 2012 Cardiff City just took Liverpool FC to penalties in a Wembley final and Leicester fans are mocking them? Wow, some of you need a sense of perspective. It's no wonder other fans in the championship think we're arrogant. Hate Cardiff all you want, be glad they lost, cheer for Liverpool, laugh at their fans, call them cheats and wankers - I couldn't care less. But please don't make Leicester fans look more retarded than you normally do by looking down on that team's performance because it was nothing short of heroic.
Webbo Posted 26 February 2012 Posted 26 February 2012 I'm glad they lost, not because I've anything against them nor do I support Liverpool but when a smaller club (ie. not a top six club) win a trophy it makes me feel "why wasn't it us?". Probably just jealousy really.

I am Rod Hull Posted 26 February 2012 Posted 26 February 2012 If Forest or Derby were playing instead of Cardiff i`d still be cheering them on. Some of our fans are so bitter its funny.....

And who here said their performance was crap? All I've seen people doing in this thread is exactly what's written on the line in bold...
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 27 February 2012 Posted 27 February 2012 I just dont like Cardiff as they are Welsh. Thats it.
Raj Posted 27 February 2012 Posted 27 February 2012 The Carling Cup. The cup that in the past "the Big Boys" would use as a reserves tournament? Now all of a sudden The MIGHTY Liverpool( who USED to be a great club as they like you to think....Have they EVER won the Premier League???) rejoice and celebrate as if they HAD won the League! What a shambles Liverpool are! WOW Beating a Welsh Championship club by ways of penalties!! Congratulations Liverpool...im sure Shankley is watching down and proud as hell that you are Carling Cup WInners!!!
