Anyone read any of the tales of Egg and Dunk?

 

3 novellas that are Game of Thrones prequels featuring Duncan the Tall and Aegon Targaryen.

 

Just  downloading them now.

 

I've read 1 of them, are they available in stand alone now? They were only available as part of different books of short stories last time I checked and my mate happened to have one of them. I read the one with a Trial of Seven, think it was The Hedge Knight.

There are pdfs of them floating around on the old interwebs. I've just googled them and saved them to read later.

Not sure I can bring myself to read a pdf. Might try and get them on my mates kindle or summit.

I cant help but feel completely disappointed by Tyrion's story ending. In the books it's one of the greatest scenes I read and makes you go "**** yes Tyrion". Everything about the buildup, I thought, would be so exciting but nope. The TV show just whitewashed over it.

Everything else was awesome though.

 

I'm not a book reader but it made me go '**** yes Tyrion'

 

Maybe you didn't feel like that cause you were expecting it?

Yeah, it's definitely the reason. It's the build up to it in the book that I loved so much. I still felt "**** yes", I wish they just added maybe 5 minutes of scene before just to make it even better.

I don't think I could have handled 5 extra minutes, I was just expecting something bad to happen to Tyrion.

Haha I wish I didn't read the books just for that fear. Luckily I didn't reach the Red Wedding in the book before the TV show, that was just the worst best thing ever.

Just started watching it. There is more nudity than I expected! Watching S01E05 right now the scene where the grown kid is sucking on his Mum's boob is a bit weird.

Fvck I hate that little dick. It's a prosthetic just to alleviate your fears.

A) What a weird thing to needed reassuring over, none of it is real whether the tit is prosthetic or not.

a) It's weird for 10 year old boys to suck women's tits. If it was real it would be very very weird.

confirmation of no lady stoneheart and changing the harenhall situations and jaime fighting the martells doesnt make me happy. they are diverting away from the books that much that if you have done one medium you cant interact with another now (read the books cant watch the show and vice versa)

Still got pretty much all of season 3 to watch still.

probably the last good series. after reading the books i had such high hopes for season 4 but was left feeling dissapointed.
