Is it just me that's starting to see a resemblance between Stannis Baratheon and our very own Nigel of Bilborough with his "Bend the knee or die"/FOAD attitude toward any challenges of his authority? :D

Starting to like Stannis a bit!

Stannis the Mannis is great, not a fan of how they treat him in the show however

He's slowly showing his metal. Making him Melisandre's sulky bitch for the first 3 seasons was pretty tedious though.

Watched episode three, 100% sure we will have northern lords rebelling the boltons, it has to be someone who was already introduced Greatjon, i cant see them having manderly now. I hope to god we get a Sansa red wedding where her and stark faithful destroy the boltons :D

I've only bothered watching the first two and he's been in the best scenes at least. Think the actor is great too, D&D have just treated him badly.

Anyone else think this season has been a bit boring so far?

This is where it slows down in the books. The storylines of Lady Stoneheart and Young Griff provide new dimensions in the story in writing but it seems those have been cut out by the show's producers, so unless major deviations are made you will have to get used to it.

Also if I were you I woundn't Google those two names.

I think I'd rather they dedicated each show to one character, rather than 5 minutes each for a dozen people.

Well, there is an epsiode later called 'The North Remembers' (or so it's rumoured), so I'm guessing if there is going to be grotesquery at Winterfell involving the horrible death of the Boltons (please!), then that might be when it happens.

Damn, I honestly thought Barristan was going to come through there.

But then, this IS Game of Thrones, isn't it?

Heroic death.

FAO Mods...perhaps it's best if this thread is merged with the older GoT one? I asked before but I think maybe you missed it.

I don't have the power to merge threads.

They are losing me with this season... the others were unmissable and now I'm finding myself not bothered.

I'm the same, at times i'm struggling to stay interested in the episode. I found that with previous seasons the episodes had so many cliff hangers, but this one doesn't.

I think that they have just been 'scene setters' so far. I'm expecting things to really (hopefully) start picking up next week and we'll be back to the GoT of previous seasons.

I'd say that previous seasons often started off slowly and they start picking up pace around this point, reaching a climax in episode 9 usually. People tend to remember the season as a whole so judging it after a few episodes compared to the previous whole seasons might be a bit premature.

I'm interested with the new divergences from the books, a lot of the plot lines stalled on the page and they're taking a few in a different direction which is a good change IMO. It also keeps it a mystery for book readers which I much prefer. It's getting to the point where the show and the books have different plot lines and that keeps it fresh.

Same for me really, been a bit disappointed the shows misses Jofrey. Hopefully it will improve, a few people had said that the fight scene in ep4 was epic I was waiting for it and then it came and I was like oh ok that just your typical GOT fight nothing special. I can see it kicking on a bit now though.....hopefully.

It's not a convincing start, is it? There is just a lot of fluff and little of substance so far. What irks me most is some of the acting and dialogue this season. It is amateurish in parts and really badly scripted.

Especially Tyrion's scene with

Jorah

felt so 'Hollywoodian/American TV series-y' where they spent 3-4 minutes recapping what the audience already knows!

His absence shouldn't really affect things. Cersei is filling in quite nicely, and if

Ramsay Bolton

gets a lot more air-time, there should be plenty of evil to go around.
