Well I hope she takes her puss filled burnt scabbed and scarred stumps for arms and rubs them in Cameron's big fat **** of a face, really rubs them in opening up some sores and really getting that pus to sting his eyes, and make sure that the smell of burnt flesh remains smeared around his nasal openings so he can smell it for at least a month.

What the fvck do they expect to happen when you make idiots panic and tell them to keep jerry cans of petrol in their houses, all of that pain she is suffering could easily have been avoided, but now she is probably permanently scarred and for what? For nothing for absolutely nothing.

Would you have balmed Unite if it happened during a strike? Dont be a tit.

I am blaming the government for advising people to store petrol in their homes, and whipping up such a panic that people would do something so stupid as decant petrol in their kitchen, it is not a good idea to piss about with highly flammable liquids when you don't know what you are doing, and it is not a good idea for the government to advise them to do so.

They are creating panic for the sake of panic and they appear to love it, if there is a strike we will have 7 days warning and we will probably know how long the strike will last, if unite decide to strike for 3 days, then we will all survive and there will have been no need for any of this nonsense, if the decide to strike for longer or until their demands are met then we can accuse them of using bullying tactics and throwing their weight around but as it is they are considering using their right to strike, a right we all have, as a form of protest at unfair treatment, which we all have the right to do, they will give at least 7 days notice of the strike, and have in the past given the length of time they intend to strike for. They are exercising a democratic right, they are not causing panic amongst the population, that seems to be the government's job.

I don't think the government are to blame for this woman's stupidity.

Blame them for starting the panic-buying fiasco, yes. But they didn't exactly say 'once you've filled up all your jerrycans and containers of petrol, please return home, stick the cooker on, and then start to decant your fuel. Please bear in mind, the cooker being on is a vital part of the procedure'.

It's just plain common-sense not to have fuel around a cooker.

The vast amount of the general public and this Government deserve each other.

Imagine your neighbour isn't blessed with the common sense to not store 30 litres of combustible liquid in a garage that happens to be next to your house. It's not just the people without common sense who'd be at risk.

Read the story, she was doing it because her daughter had run out of petrol, why had she run out of petrol? Why couldn't she go to the station and fill up?

Yes she was stupid, but not everyone knows the dangers of handling petrol, not everyone has been trained on it and warned of the flammable nature of the fumes, and even saying that, there are plenty of stupid people in this country, which is why advising people to store petrol in their homes, without proper advice and guidelines on how to do so in a safe and responsible manner, is a stupid thing to do.

The strange this is that nobody seems to admit being a panic buyer. All the TV progs, radio shows, forums and pubs are full of people slating these half-wits.

I was loudly pointing out the same fact to everyone in the lounge last night - driver after driver complaining about all the other drivers in the same queue, as if they held a right to fuel but no one else did.

Were you queuing the whole time or watching out the window or one of them insurance offices??

Drove past the garage on way in to work, observed the queue from my air-conditioned office ;)

Indeed. Everybody seems to automatically regard their own requirement for fuel as more important than everybody else's.

I certainly wasn't panicking as I filled my car up in fact I was extremely calm and contented considering I'd had to queue,

I happened to be out of work about 4pm on Monday, and listening on the radio to the news about the strike vote. Petrol ight ws on when I got in the car, so I had to stop anyway, filled up when I woudl usually have put in half a tank maybe.

Then had to the my Wife to the airport in her car. You guessed it, no petrol, so had to put some in, and again filled up.

So in summary, I started the whole thing. And I have 2 cars full of petrol.

This week has made me realise that we are doomed as a nation.

For years the government (in all forms) has been given sensible advice like "Don't drink too much", "Don't eat too much fatty food", and "Save money for your retirement." As a rule the general public has gone, "Stop telling us how to live our lives!"

However, the moment a minister says something stupid like, "Everyone should fill their cars up with petrol immediately because we might be slightly inconvenienced sometime in the indeterminate future, possibly" and every last sheeplike pleb obeys to the letter.

And then people vote for Galloway.

Did I mention that people are stupid?

Well it's not happening any time soon, well done panic buyers, you've pointlessly rinsed the countries fuel supplies for no reason

The annoying thing is that most of them will be reasoning that they were right to rush out and buy fuel because the now they have fuel and there isn't any left for other people. So who's laughing now!? :(

I'd vote Galloway given the chance.

At least he has some decent ideas on how to tackle this countries problems rather than just appeasing his pay masters like the main political parties in this country.

Dont be fooled that the Government are solely to blame for this stupidity either, plain arrogant selfishness is also playing a big part.

I'm completely apolitical - it just worries me that people can't see Galloway for what he is - someone who will say or do whatever it takes to achieve whatever he wants.

Politics doesn't enter into it, just stupidity.

To behonest with the way the 3 main parties are at the moment, I am not surprised one bit, I also hope it encourages more independents to stand and create more genuine opposition to the big political parties, because at the moment they are a shambles but there is no real choice but to pick the best from a bad lot.

Galloway is a tit, but that is what we are being driven to, voting for a tit because a tit is better than a bunch of cocks.

Pissed myself laughing at the signs all the way home today.

No fuel. No fuel.

Popped past the station near my house, and NO UNLEADED. Good fooking thing I drive a diesel! Pissed myself as my car gulped down the diesel goodness and numerous car drivers with no literacy skills (see no unleaded sign) angrily race out of the forecourt wasting their precious fuel in bad gear changes. Knowing that I'll get at least another 300 miles out of that half tank makes me a smug coont. I'm sorry to say I am, but it's true. I'm sure some of you knew this already.

Well, the country has 67.5 days of reserves, so 4 days of silly buying does not constitute rinsing the country's fuel supplies.

I'll believe it the next time I see a petrol station that actually has fuel

I've gone around today with the fuel light on all day shitting myself. There really are a lot of stupid people around; who are now blaming the govt., I agree they haven't helped but all these idiots filling up for no reason have caused to problem and now seem to be angry at other people instead of looking in the mirror at their dumbass.

As for that women who burnt herself. Whilst she is stupid, I also feel a sorry for her, a lot of people don't know about petrol vapours, they just think as long as the liquid isn't near a flame they're ok. It was only a matter of time.

Really? I have seen a lot of petrol cans being filled at garages, stored in sheds and garages, being used to fill cars and so on. I have Never seen one inside a house though, or heard of someone setting themselves on fire in their kitchen.

Nothing wrong with pitying the woman, but I do think this is genuinely really quite properly stupid.
