Parafox Posted 28 March 2012 Posted 28 March 2012 I know what I'm doing tonight Giving a car a blowjob?!?!? And equipped with enough containers for the resulting ejection of fluids
Daggers Posted 28 March 2012 Posted 28 March 2012 I'm beginning to wonder if you're not L44ry. I'm also Dangerous Tiger and Nick - oh the chuckles I have as I argue with myself.
dave the caveman Posted 28 March 2012 Posted 28 March 2012 Nice language. Have you actually read the reasons for the dispute? It's not all or only about salaries, it's also about safe working practices and the fact that different companies apply less stringent rules than others. I'll use whatever language I want as far as you are concerned. And yes of course, it's not about money at all. It never is with these strikes is it? There's always a perfectly reasonable motive behind strike action. Never mind the fact that we're costing the economy millions, we want every company to be forced to display an A1 laminated version of their H&S poster. Get a grip. These people are threatening to disrupt the Olympics as well. They're *****, simple as that.

sphericalfox Posted 28 March 2012 Posted 28 March 2012 I drove back from Ireland (west coast) arriving back on Wednesday directly after filling up and I still have half a tank left. I ain't worried.
Rincewind Posted 28 March 2012 Posted 28 March 2012 Don't know what I'll do. I shall have to learn to drive, buy a car so I can panic instead of walking or bussing as I normally do.
Jon the Hat Posted 28 March 2012 Posted 28 March 2012 Competition is tough, live with it. What a load of whingers.

Daggers Posted 29 March 2012 Posted 29 March 2012 When you've lost every ounce of the Tory media - at some point you wonder if they'll ever notice the government policy of 'announcing at least one unworkable or cretinous idea per day' is annoying every fair-minded citizen in the UK and isn't working? Also, I notice that while Camertwat is putting tax on pasties he is leaving baps alone.
James. Posted 29 March 2012 Posted 29 March 2012 Is it me or is this really shit advice? http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-17545739 The Jerry can stuff was bad enough but at least they admitted that was a mistake, this just seems to be massively irresponsible. They're as bad as all the idiots fighting on the forecourts today.
MrSpaM Posted 29 March 2012 Posted 29 March 2012 Have to say I find the whole situation ridiculous. People are panic buying now so we are running out of fuel, what are they going to do when the drivers are on strike and they've used all the fuel up they've bought today?!? It's also my understanding that they have to give at least 5 days notice before they are even allowed to strike, so it's not like it's going to happen tomorrow is it since we haven’t heard anything. All this panic buying is making the whole situation ten times worse! British public, I salute you! People are panic buying just for the sake of it, the countrys officially gone crazy
Guest Posted 29 March 2012 Posted 29 March 2012 I thought you had to buy paper bags or is that outdated for panic attacks now?
Captain... Posted 29 March 2012 Posted 29 March 2012 I thought you had to buy paper bags or is that outdated for panic attacks now? Fill your paper bags with petrol in preparation for the coming apocalypse! (The apocalypse will probably be caused by a car with a full fuel tank losing control after trying to eat a pasty that was too hot and crashing into a picket line of striking tanker drivers who have used their full tankers as a blockade. They all go up in a huge fireball setting fire to the surrounding houses which are full of jerrycans which soon explode in the heat causing a chain reaction of explosions that consumes the city of London. This quickly spreads to the other big cities as they think it was an action of civil disobedience and, like with the riots, what London does the rest of the country copies.)
Guest Posted 29 March 2012 Posted 29 March 2012 Tanker drivers don't even need to strike to have the desired effect now.
The Year Of The Fox Posted 29 March 2012 Posted 29 March 2012 The media are most at fault for this malarkey. They were on about it on the radio for 2hours this morning. They fuel the fire (no pun intended) more than anyone.
Bluefoxtim Posted 29 March 2012 Posted 29 March 2012 Passed my test in 2008 and still haven't bought a car. Driven one around a car park a few times. More trouble than they're worth!

They're as bad as all the idiots fighting on the forecourts today. It's quite sad that the moronic "Great" British Public hasn't got the common sense NOT to be told what they should or should not be doing. Because someone is worried they won't be able to drive their Little Precious a mile down the road for ballet lessons, a person who would be able to genuinely say "well, actually, not being able to use my car would be a major catastrophe" is likely to face a major catastrophe.

Phube Posted 29 March 2012 Posted 29 March 2012 I can solve this issue: Just double the price of petrol for anyone buying less than 25 litres! (Unless it's a bike or crappy small car!) Panic buying over!
Trav Le Bleu Posted 29 March 2012 Posted 29 March 2012 People never believe politicians... ... until they give them license to do something stupid.

Saxondale Posted 29 March 2012 Posted 29 March 2012 Because of the panic buying twats, fuel becomes scarce and the sensible people turn into panic buyers too. This in turn panics the original twats even more. It's a ridiculous cycle of hysteria.
