Kitchandro Posted 12 April 2012 Posted 12 April 2012 The winner will be animal rights protestors. At least one horse will be fatally injured, resulting in the course being modified again. Repeat year after year until it becomes a handicap hurdle with 8 runners.
Simo86 Posted 13 April 2012 Posted 13 April 2012 Just went on PP and Junior who I backed at 10/1 is now at 14s If he wins I won't be too bothered though. I've now gone each way on Treacle at 20/1 and Calgary Bay at 33/1 I was also given a £5 free bet so I stuck that on West End Rocker to win at 12/1
Bluefoxtim Posted 13 April 2012 Posted 13 April 2012 Gonna be doing my usual ritual of placing £30 across 15 horses and sitting in front of the telly with a pen and notepad, frantically crossing the names off as each of my horses falls / dies. Always manage to break even Going for Hello Bud again this year. Legend.

Always manage to break even Going for Hello Bud again this year. Legend. Where's the fun in that?

If it starts at any higher than 10's you'll get paid out on that. Seabass was 22/1 this morning. Now it's at half of that.
purpleronnie Posted 14 April 2012 Posted 14 April 2012 I originally was going for seabass and chicago grey but I'll go for killyglen or black apalachi.
HEGGSY Posted 14 April 2012 Posted 14 April 2012 Seasbass, According To Pete,Ball a Briggs and Sunnyhillboy (AoWW sweepstake pick) £1.50 e/w on each.
ScouseFox Posted 14 April 2012 Posted 14 April 2012 Think I've just about decided to go with Junior, West End Rocker, Giles Cross, Planet of Sound and Quiscover Fontaine from the sweep. All a quid e/w. All probably subject to change by the time I leave the bookies later though!
m00nie Posted 14 April 2012 Posted 14 April 2012 ive gone for on his own neptune colognes wierd al (from the sweepstake here)
Matt Posted 14 April 2012 Posted 14 April 2012 Kid in a sweet shop springs to mind to discribe how I was in the bookies this morning, i've spread my money about lets put it that way. My main money is for Synchronised, Seabass and West End Rocker with a few smaller bets for On His Own, The Midnight Club, Killyglen and Vic Venturi. Also gone for a Lucky 15; 1.45 - Simonsig. 2.15 - Sprinter Sacre. 2.50 - Rock On Ruby. 3.25 - Chaptoturgeon.
Kitchandro Posted 14 April 2012 Posted 14 April 2012 Had a fiver each on On His Own Seabass West End Rocker Planet of Sound (E/W) Ummed and ahhed about Junior, Killyglen and Giles Cross (I heard the ground was going against him) so one of them is bound to win!
adam1 Posted 14 April 2012 Posted 14 April 2012 £25 ew cappa bleu £25 ew giles cross (going now a concern - bet put on earlier this week) £5ew Killyglen (fell 4 out when travelling nicely last year - was thrown into the race with no prep, trainer didn't expect him to be in it. This year the horse has been prepped for it and the trainer is bullish about his chances) £1ew West End Rocker (strongly fancied by myself last year but is carrying 7lbs more which is a concern) £1ew on On His Own (I strongly fancied this and Cappa Bleu back in Jan but I've got some niggling doubts, my gut instinct now says no)
James18 Posted 14 April 2012 Posted 14 April 2012 £10 on Always Right at 33/1. No reason just went for a random horse, lets hope it pays off.
Matt Posted 14 April 2012 Posted 14 April 2012 Ruby Walsh might not be riding On His Own, after a heavy fall (Zarkander literally fell on top of him in the last race), he is currently being assesed. Confirmed, Paul Townend (Who was riding The Midnight Club) now rides On His Own and Andrew Tinkler comes in to ride The Midnight Club.
Ozwin Posted 14 April 2012 Posted 14 April 2012 £4 on Treacle, State of Play and Always Right. I have no ****ing clue if they're in form, any good or donkeys in disguise but I'll still be screaming at my telly like I do every year!
Turtles Head Posted 14 April 2012 Posted 14 April 2012 Fiver each on Killyglen and Always Right. (to win) Not to fall off?
HEGGSY Posted 14 April 2012 Posted 14 April 2012 Thanks for mine AoWW. Nice second place for Sunnyhillboy.
