Fox 4 Life Posted 14 June 2012 Posted 14 June 2012 He wanted to buy us before the Thais came in Yep this was from 2 years ago; Championship club Leicester City are a target for a Polish billionaire. Jozef Wojciechowski has targeted the Foxes after looking at several clubs. Wojciechowski, who made his fortune in real estate, is currently the owner of Polonia Warsaw. A source close to him told The Sun: "Wojciechowski is serious about this. He believes Leicester has huge potential."
Bert Posted 14 June 2012 Posted 14 June 2012 Went school with Ryan. Very knowledgeable on polish football.
Danno Posted 14 June 2012 Posted 14 June 2012 I don't get it are King Power taking over the Polish club or are the Polish people buying us?
Toffee_Fox Posted 14 June 2012 Posted 14 June 2012 Why the hell would Beckford hand in a transfer request? He wouldn't, loses his loyalty bonus, even when he did at Leeds the club agreed he would still receive it, if it meant it looked like he pushed through the move. £££
Rob Tanner Posted 14 June 2012 Posted 14 June 2012 I think I can help a little on this one. I was contacted by polish journalist yesterday to say they knew representatives from an English club met with Wojciechowski to discuss the Polish club possibly using reserve players from the English club. Obviously, if there was a rough diamond in Poland that could be polished over here then that may be the return route. He said they believed Leicester could be the club but weren't 100 percent. I don't think anyone is buying any club in this. The Thai owners are certainly not selling City, from what I am repeatedly told. I think whoever the club are - and it might be City, you never know - are trying to foster stronger links abroad.

Babylon Posted 14 June 2012 Posted 14 June 2012 Unfortunately people moan because he's classed as lazy and overpaid. What did he do to prove is quality? How many games did he play well in? People moan because a) he can't control the ball b) He does feck all most of the time c) his goalscoring when it matters is poor (only scoring in 7 league games all year. Happy for him to have another crack at is, but saying he's class is blind faith as it's not based on his actual performances for us.
Bettsj2 Posted 14 June 2012 Posted 14 June 2012 That wouldn't be too bad I guess, may raise our profile in Poland, Polish Leicester contingent may go to games. The atmosphere may be a little different.
Danno Posted 14 June 2012 Posted 14 June 2012 The atmosphere may be a little different. . Euro 2012 style scraps outside!

Yes he can control a ball, he had limited service and depsite that fact wasnt always his best, still scored goals. There's defo more to come. Alot of games he was unplayable and he is a potent goalscorer. Unfortunately we had absolutely no creativity from midfield area's until Marshall came in. Dont get me wrong, he had a few off games too but over a full season i guarantee he'd be an asset Plus we are a mid table Championship club, to get a better goalscorer than Beckford, you'd need to pay alot of money. We're not in the best position to attract a 20 goal a season man
Mark_w Posted 14 June 2012 Posted 14 June 2012 over a full season i guarantee he'd be an asset So what was I watching last year?

Guest Col city fan Posted 14 June 2012 Posted 14 June 2012 Nugent had the same service yet scored more goals. The thread has become about Beckford again.. Bet I'll be blamed... This is like Groundhog Day!
chris_lcfc_85 Posted 14 June 2012 Posted 14 June 2012 Nugent had the same service yet scored more goals. Nugent was excellent, no question. However, he played from the very first game. Beckford didnt start any games until a couple of months into the season then he had a rough start in fairness but after Xmas was excellent

Leicfox Posted 14 June 2012 Posted 14 June 2012 SkySportsPeteO Skysports understands Cardiff + Leicester are eyeing moves for former Dundee United defender Paul Dixon.#ccfc #lcfc #dufc A left-back who made the SPL team of the year last season, Decent.
Happy Fox Posted 14 June 2012 Posted 14 June 2012 Does that mean konch is going then? No it doesn't could be a replacement for Kennedy for all we know.
kingfox Posted 14 June 2012 Posted 14 June 2012 SkySportsPeteO Skysports understands Cardiff + Leicester are eyeing moves for former Dundee United defender Paul Dixon.#ccfc #lcfc #dufc Good SPL player but when Scots come to Leicester they never do that well. Only 25 so still fairly young, but Konchesky needs to stay, Konchesky to Dixon is a serious come down.
lcfcsnow Posted 14 June 2012 Posted 14 June 2012 All big name players will be gone, get used to it. Pearson can only manage a certain type of player.
Happy Fox Posted 14 June 2012 Posted 14 June 2012 He has a considerable amount of assists for the last 4 seasons in the SPL 15 assists 2011-2012 season 9 assists 2010-2011 season 4 assists 2009-2010 season 10 assists 2008-2009 season
Leicfox Posted 14 June 2012 Posted 14 June 2012 A left-back who made the SPL team of the year last season, Decent. Forgot to mention... He was also top 5 for assists last season and top 10 the season before which means he should be decent at crossing a ball. Also he'd be a free transfer, but as already said we've not had much luck with Scots in the last few years.
