beemeroo Posted 19 June 2014 Posted 19 June 2014 Gerry Taggert, defensive coach is a must. There's not a chance in hell of us getting promotion without a specialist coach for this area of the team. Probably the most interesting post in this thread.
steveherbe Posted 19 June 2014 Posted 19 June 2014 Talking of coaches junior Lewis has been names as asst coach at Leeds. Guffaw!!
Stadt Posted 19 June 2014 Posted 19 June 2014 I signed Bruno as a coach on football manager, he's shÃt though Guppy is a coach on there too. Does Matt Elliot want to return to England?
_Fatboyslow_ Posted 19 June 2014 Posted 19 June 2014 Instead of setting up a new topic, I thought I'd kindly use an old'un. I've just seen that Spurs have released Les Ferdinand and Chris Ramsey. A.) Do we need more coaching staff? If not why not? B.) Would either of the above be a good addition? C.) If not who? Wouldn't it be nice if Pearson answered
Happy Fox Posted 19 June 2014 Posted 19 June 2014 Kevin Phillips will be on the staffs books. Kevin Phillips, Shakespeare and Mike Stowell should be enough.
Merging Cultures Posted 19 June 2014 Posted 19 June 2014 What grinds my gears: When you start reading a thread and thinking, what on earth is the OP talking about... then you realise it was posted 2 years ago.
Jon the Hat Posted 19 June 2014 Posted 19 June 2014 Didnt someone say somewhere that Phillips was taking on a bigger role than we might expect? You would think Nige, Shakey, Kev & Stowell would be sufficient, but there was a rumour I think that Stowell was moving down the pecking order. Hmm.

Soz, I'm of the mantra, and that of the mods, that if the topic was covered previously why make a new one. i'm just throwing it out there. I have no preference to the questions posed, I just figure that maybe Ferdinand might bring something to the table that Philips might not. Chris Ramsey might fit in the Development side of things as that is his background, and surely between the two of them, the may have scouted a few players along their journeys etc.
Babylon Posted 19 June 2014 Posted 19 June 2014 Kevin Phillips will be on the staffs books. Kevin Phillips, Shakespeare and Mike Stowell should be enough. Was wondering when someone would remember phillips!
lgfualol Posted 19 June 2014 Posted 19 June 2014 Was wondering when someone would remember phillips! Who?
sphericalfox Posted 19 June 2014 Posted 19 June 2014 Was wondering when someone would remember phillips! I automatically didn't list our current staff, and didn't forget Phillips, as counted him as present. I'm not saying we don't have the staff to succeed, but how much Premiership experience do we have in the backroom. We've reinforced here or there, and I expect furthermore to the first team squad with that experience, surely it would pay to have a coach that has this too.
foxfanazer Posted 19 June 2014 Posted 19 June 2014 Matty Elliott Managing in Thailand last time I heard I think so must've took coaching badges etc. Club legend and a terrific defender
Carl the Llama Posted 20 June 2014 Posted 20 June 2014 Matty Elliott Managing in Thailand last time I heard I think so must've took coaching badges etc. Club legend and a terrific defender Managing the army football team isn't he?
foxfanazer Posted 20 June 2014 Posted 20 June 2014 Managing the army football team isn't he?Yeah that's right. Doesn't sound like the most attractive job
AKCJ Posted 20 June 2014 Posted 20 June 2014 Would love Sir Les to come back but we don't really need him to be fair. Would like to see him take a managerial position somewhere.
Bayfox Posted 20 June 2014 Posted 20 June 2014 I'm taking 10 to stamford bridge. For jose not sure 1 will be enough against our forward players.
dmayne7 Posted 20 June 2014 Posted 20 June 2014 Would love Sir Les to come back but we don't really need him to be fair. Would like to see him take a managerial position somewhere. I would hate to see him back here. He said that he'd have an operation on his injury, and if all went well he wouldn't retire and he'd help us to get promoted. Then he decides to p**$ off to Bolton. Judas of the highest order
