Watched the first 3 eps of Last One Laughing and it's sooo good. Bob is great, but I thought Joe Wilkinson's RNLI speech was the highlight so far... Superb.

Looking forward to the rest tomorrow night.😭

Are they releasing both episodes tomorrow?

TBF, I don't know, I just assumed they were as when we found it on Prime, it had all of the shows listed. Guess I'll found out later 😊

Binged the first 4 in bed last night, one of the funniest things I’ve seen in a long time.

Incredible line up.

Episode 4 of Gangs of London, I have watched countless action series/films, but can’t ever remember seeing someone get strangled with that particular body part.  Not a show for the faint hearted. 🫣

Love that Bob hit him with the Peter Beardsley jokes to win it lol

His mock Beardsley is the stuff of comedy gold.

There's lots of similar stuff on YouTube. It's well worth a look.

Athletico Mince is the search term

The Ayoade/Mortimer face off in episode 5 of LoL was pure comedy gold. A simple but superb show overall. Hopefully they do a second series although would be hard to beat the line up they had here.

He’s been in quite a few big ‘Hollywood’ projects over the years. A couple of Pirates flicks, Rocketman, Venom 2, Matilda The Musical etc; A couple of Scorsese films and Boardwalk Empire on TV.

His family seem to be quite happily settled in The Shire, doing their own thing rather than chasing much Hollywood stuff. Him and Hannah Walters set up their own production company during the pandemic aimed at developing projects from underrepresented voices (I entered last year but didn’t get through) as well as producing their own projects, like Boiling Point and Adolescence.

They’ve reached a very niche part of the industry where they have the creative freedom to pretty much do what they want, which I’d consider a raging success IMO. Not many people get that, probably because not enough people seek it out.

Great interview with Walters and Graham, well worth the read.

Reading an article this morning where its claiming that the current Doctor Who actor is the less popular actor to play the role. Have to admit i haven't seen a minute of him playing the Doctor but is he that bad? Or is he let down by poor writing. Already talk of him being replaced. Best thing tor the show is axe... show is ancient history now. Time the Doctor faced his last battle.

Thought Severance series 2 was pretty average, doubt I'l watch the new series. First series was excellent and they should have stopped there, but when does that ever happen when there's more money to be made...

HUGELY let down by the writing. RTD failed where he succeeded with the 2005 reboot: the tone of the show, and the quality of the stories. The 60th anniversary episodes were ‘OK’; Ncuti’s first Christmas Special was reasonably promising. But the series was mostly dreadful IMO. Tonally all over the place, and the balance of it being a ‘family show’ or a CBBC show was tipped way too much in the latter category.

I do like Ncuti and I think he’ll go far in Hollywood, but the next series better knock it out of the park otherwise the show is in big trouble (again)

First episode of Mobland

Guy Ritchie directing a very Guy Ritchie type story and Tom Hardy doing Tom Hardy which is fun if you like that sort of thing. Pierce  Brosnan doing dodgy Irish gangster I’m not too sure about yet though as it’s a bit too much but hopefully I can get over it.
definitely worth a laugh if nothing else

Agreed with the fact that series 1 was much more enjoyable than series 2. It just seemed to lose its charm in series 2 a bit for me. Still decent but nowhere near as good as the 1st

I watched the Irish and a bit of the Canadian version of lol. I can comprehensively say, that whilst it's a great premise, the UK version was so good because of who was in there, the line up was Stella. Would have to go all out for another top lineup for season two otherwise, it will be ok, but nowhere near as good as what we all just witnessed

Agreed. It wasn't bad, but it's lost it's magic for me. It's now got too complicated and they've tried to be too clever with it and ultimately it's ended up a bit meh.

Finished adolescence I thought it was decent but I’ll be honest, don’t think it would have this much hype and praise around it if it was just on ITV. Some of the acting is great, the dialogue is a bit off in places though.

Anyone would be forgiven for thinking it's a documentary. Even the Prime Minister seems to think so. No idea why this piece of fiction needs to get touted around schools. Kids can watch it on Netflix the same as anyone else if they want to. Are we to expect a knock on the door soon to make sure that we've watched it?
