Raw Dykes Posted 18 July 2012 Posted 18 July 2012 I agree, he could step in, but I didn't mean that we wouldn't be able to field a side. If he did have to cover, the side would have a rather makeshift look to it in my opinion. I would rather have cover that plays as a centre back as their preferred position. Besides I'm hoping St Ledger will end up being the cover and we sign another first choice centre back, not just a makeweight. I agree. I just wanted to point out that the situation isn't quite as desperate as some people think. I agree about St. Ledger as well. I think there's definitely room for a better centre-half than the ones we already have, or at least someone as good as Morgan or St. Ledger, and also a young centre-half, or maybe right back, with potential.

Raw Dykes Posted 18 July 2012 Posted 18 July 2012 St Ledger's the best CB we have! ...after Morgan. Yes he is.
danfox76 Posted 18 July 2012 Posted 18 July 2012 Where did he say that then? http://www.thisisleicestershire.co.uk/Lee-Peltier-tells-Leicester-City-want/story-16553582-detail/story.html
ThurnbyLodgeFox Posted 18 July 2012 Posted 18 July 2012 ...after Morgan. Yes he is. St Ledger, in my opinion, offers a lot more than Morgan
Babylon Posted 18 July 2012 Posted 18 July 2012 http://www.thisislei...tail/story.html Where is the quote about not enjoying his football here? All I see is him not liking the fact Pearson has another first choice in mind.
Babylon Posted 18 July 2012 Posted 18 July 2012 St Ledger, in my opinion, offers a lot more than Morgan You are correct, he offers more mistakes, more times out of position, more lost headers against strikers. ...after Morgan. Yes he is. Don't slate SSL... he's funny on twitter man!!!
ThurnbyLodgeFox Posted 18 July 2012 Posted 18 July 2012 Where is the quote about not enjoying his football here? All I see is him not liking the fact Pearson has another first choice in mind. Plus the mercury probably made the story up cause they had nothing else
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 18 July 2012 Posted 18 July 2012 Only got himself to blame. His defending at times was awful, would either be too far up the pitch or be just ball watching, standing around doing nothing. Seen worse players but he isnt good enough for our first eleven and I'd be happy in getting the money we paid for him back.
Grey Fox Posted 18 July 2012 Posted 18 July 2012 St Ledger's the best CB we have! We only have 2! Even if I agreed, it's not too difficult for him is it?
LCFC1985 Posted 18 July 2012 Posted 18 July 2012 Getting off the subject of Peltier a bit, but what about Taft as extra cover at CB?
Guest Col city fan Posted 18 July 2012 Posted 18 July 2012 If Grayson and Warnock are interested in Pelts this would suggest (as I've always maintained) that he's a better player than most on here think he is. Grayson is a manager I have respect for, Warnock is a tosser, but no mug when it comes to signing players to deliver a promotion. And to suggest that neither Huddersfield nor Leeds don't have promotion aspirations is a little daft. I fully expect Leeds to be in the mix come the end of the season.
Bausor Posted 18 July 2012 Posted 18 July 2012 Pelts out if position an awful lot last season and watching him casually jog back was a joke, a very weak link IMO
Vlad the Fox Posted 18 July 2012 Posted 18 July 2012 From that manc forum posted on the first page. 'I met Ritchie at a Portsmouth news event a couple of weeks ago. Basically it was a suck off David Nugent event until he signs a new contract (the whole night was bollocks) – Ritchie was a nice lad though'
Out Foxed Posted 18 July 2012 Posted 18 July 2012 He is defiantly still in Austria he refuses to leave?
LCFC1985 Posted 18 July 2012 Posted 18 July 2012 He is clinging onto Pearson screaming......"please don't let them take me back too Huddersfield"!

Are people not forgeting we have Tom Parkes and Cian Bolger in squad and in Austria with First Team! Granted he will sign a first choice Centre Half but i think one of these two should be given a go at back up as well!
chili_con_carne Posted 18 July 2012 Posted 18 July 2012 Well confused about all this. dannzy just said on his spitter2 app that pelts is sitting next to him at the moment in Austria and said not to believe everything you read. I reckon he's staying this season.
Jimmy Posted 18 July 2012 Posted 18 July 2012 or he's just not flying back before the rest of the squad
smokey Posted 18 July 2012 Posted 18 July 2012 & George Taft to come back from Sweden I forgot about him yes! I think Pearson will sign two more players, a left winger and a centre half and thats it unless anyone else leaves! We will have a great squad then, and with the 3 young Centre Halfs as back up to Morgan, SSL and new Signing we will be fine in all areas of pitch!
Happy Fox Posted 18 July 2012 Posted 18 July 2012 Peltier isn't good enough proved by last season if we want promotion we cannot have many weak links in the team and he was one of them imo.
