MattyFromLE Posted 3 August 2012 Posted 3 August 2012 Pete O'Rourke â€@SkySportsPeteO Sky Sports understands Leicester defender Lee Peltier is having a medical at Leeds. #LUFC #LCFC Fair enough, pretty gutted that it didn't work out for him here. I don't actually think he's that bad!
Deucalion Posted 3 August 2012 Posted 3 August 2012 I think Peltier is half decent too. He has just been squeezed out by De Laet, Moore and SSL who can play right back. One annoying thing is the Yorkshire Post claiming Leeds have 'snatched' him from Leicester. Was he not surplus? No wonder their fans are so deluded.

The delusion lies in the other fans who have convinced one another that Leeds fans are deluded. If anything, we tend towards the other direction these days where anything other than mediocre or poor is totally unexpected. You really think after 7 years of Ken Bates that we have allusions of grandeur? **** me. Surprised warnock wants him! Average at best! Did you not see our defence last season. It was a long way short of average
EnderbyFox Posted 3 August 2012 Posted 3 August 2012 Was always going to struggle to fill the gap left by Naughton. Good luck at Leeds pelts!
Petchy Posted 3 August 2012 Posted 3 August 2012 Unfortunately a lot of the goals we leaked were from the right hand side. It went unnoticed at the start of the season but I think most fans caught onto it by the end. Can't fault his work rate, but just wasn't that great unfortunately. All the best Pelts.
LCFCstriker Posted 3 August 2012 Posted 3 August 2012 I hope this means Moore will get more games.. Really want a local lad to be getting in and around starting 11
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 3 August 2012 Posted 3 August 2012 Not the worst player we'll ever have but he was as good as our league finish last season really, we need better to progress. His intelligence really was lacking on the pitch, and his positional play was non existant. He'll do well up there though no doubt.
L4EV Posted 3 August 2012 Posted 3 August 2012 Surprised warnock wants him! Average at best! Average>>>>>>>Leeds' defence over the past 2 seasons
Bert Posted 3 August 2012 Posted 3 August 2012 Not good enough? We're a mid table championship team. Had a great start here but sadly faded towards the end of the season.

Rusko187 Posted 3 August 2012 Posted 3 August 2012 Sorry to see the lad go, as many have stated he started well but faded towards the end. At least he can leave with his head high... Quite gutted he is going as I think he can improve.
NewburyFox Posted 3 August 2012 Posted 3 August 2012 Not good enough? We're a mid table championship team. Had a great start here but sadly faded towards the end of the season. And we want to be more than that, so we shouldn't be starting mid table Championship players, especially with our backing.
dpjfox Posted 3 August 2012 Posted 3 August 2012 well done and good luck pelts (hes one we let go that will improve and we may later regret)
Father Ted Posted 3 August 2012 Posted 3 August 2012 He will never be more than a mid-table Championship player at best unfortunately. He's very weak attacking wise and when he does rarely attack, he just 'jogs' back. Constantly out of position and we have conceded way too many goals down that side. Liam Moore is a much more promising prospect and hopefully this opens the door for him into the first team. Best of luck to Pelts but we can't be doing with bog standard defenders when we're going to push for promotion.
21st Century Fox Posted 3 August 2012 Posted 3 August 2012 I remember away at Millwall he consistently gave away possession when coming forward and got caught out of posistion defensively too many times. He's seems a good guy but we need better consistency to make a run at promotion.
80footgiraffe Posted 3 August 2012 Posted 3 August 2012 Always thought he was pretty shoddy, happy to see him go. De Laet looking like a good replacement. I do like getting rid of the dead wood, mills, bamba, tunchev, peltier, oakley, howard, vassell, chamberlain, moussa and weale. 10 players. Our squad looks exciting to me, and isn't full of bench warmers and reserve crap.
kingfox Posted 3 August 2012 Posted 3 August 2012 I liked Peltier, he was one of our most consistent players up until December. Then his performances went down hill and became one of our weaker players instead of one of our strongest. Sad to see him go, but Pearson has his own plans and Peltier isn't part of them. He needs replacing though with a loan signing.

LCFC FOX Posted 3 August 2012 Posted 3 August 2012 Good luck Lee. Will certainly not boo you. Mite give you a cheeky clap. Decent season.
kingfox Posted 3 August 2012 Posted 3 August 2012 I think Liam Moore may be seen as the back up for RDL Yep, but we still would be one player down. De Laet and Moore at right-back, but we still only have three centre backs one of which in Whitbread is injury prone. And if De Laet is ever called upon to cover centre back, then that would only leave us with Moore at right-back which just isn't strong enough. We really need a loan signing to replace Peltier and help our options in defence.
