really clamp down on the fookers,. slash and burn spending and have a sporran tax.

A sporran tax!  lol That made me laugh.

What other retaliatory measures are possible if they vote "Yes"?

50% VAT on haggis?

Higher excise duties on whisky (but not on whiskey, to boost superior UK produce like Bushmills)?

Import quotas on tartan fabrics?

Challenges to patents for Scotch pancakes?

New tariff restrictions on porridge oats?

Cancel Susan Boyle's British passport and refuse her visa application?

Rescind Rab C Nesbitt's Equity card?

Replace Scottish oil with Russian gas?

Over-dub Sean Connery's voice with Roger Moore in Bond films?

Arrest the kilted Trafalgar Square piper for disturbing the peace and indecent exposure?

Translate "Auld Lang Syne" into English?

Napalm their heather?

Sponsor charity walks from Land's End to Berwick on Tweed?

Camerons pandering has become pathetic. What an embarrassment to a once great, tough proud and stern political party.

For a split second, when I read the word "pandering", I thought Cameron might have offered to service the panda in Edinburgh zoo... :o

"Baron Profumo, Sir Edward Heath, Jonathan Aitken, Lord Archer, Lord Norman Lamont, Baron Oily-Parkinson, Harvey Proctor, Liz Shagger-Truss, the Right Honourable Iain Duncan Smith.....tonight your once great, tough, proud and stern political party gave one hell of a pandering!"

Sorry, must go downstairs as I'm getting giddy.

And another quote: "According to research at Stirling University, England loses around £4.5 billion of public spending every year because the money is handed to Scotland instead."

If the vote is Yes on Thursday, the Government should scrap the Bartlett Rule on Friday. Every ex-pat Scot I know (and there are loads down here) want to stay in the UK: hardly surprising, given the facts.

I love those Taste the Difference scotch eggs from Sainsbury's.

If there's a Yes vote, I'll have to conceal them in a brown paper bag, or inside a hardcore porn mag, to avoid public shame and humiliation....  :o

The yes voters seem to be believing in the idealistic bullshit being spouted.

in contrast to the negative bullshit being spouted by the no campaign... I don't know why the three stooges don't just bendover and let salmond fook em up the arse live on network tv.

It's getting pretty vindictive up here.

My Facebook and Twitter are full of people I otherwise respect ramming their views (both sides) down others' throats.

Miliband hassled by Socialist Worker Yessers and force to cancel a walkabout today (at least he tried - Cameron flew up, spoke to a hand picked audience and flew straight back).

Yessers calling No-ers shitebags, Quislings etc.

Talk of Yes marches on polling stations on Thursday.

Twitter reports of fights breaking out in Glasgow after elderly No supporters shoved and shouted down by Yes supporters.

I still think No will win, but it won't be pretty up here afterwards.

I''ll be glad when it's over.

I heard the jocks like ramming stuff down each others throats...no shock to me.

I have a mate from edinburgh, he says the yes supporters are driving round with car stickers that say uk ok. Which the sepratists have dubbed u kok lol

At least if they vote No then the separatists will only have their fellow Scots to blame rather than England for once.

Having looked at the facts and figures I do believe the rest of the UK would be better off without Scotland, especially in the long term.

Some of the aggression and intimidation tactics to commenters online from the Yes camp have been absolutely shocking for a long time, but it appears the knuckle dragging wee little Scotlanders are out on the streets in force now.  Like modern day brown shirts.

Whereas previously i'd have been devastated to see Scotland leave the Union, the more I've looked into the facts and figures, and the absolute grotesque face of Scottish separatist nationalism, a Yes vote may just do the people of England, Wales and Northern Ireland a huge favour.  I just feel sorry for the other 49% of Scotland that will have voted no.  But of course the UK would be more than happy to accept those wishing to come and stay with us to help continue pushing this country forward well into economic recovery and growth.

No surprise to anyone down here who has been keeping in touch with it, you can tell just by the 24 hour news coverage what it's like, the yes campaign seems very nasty and loud and I certainly believe now a lot of no voters won't be letting people even know about their intentions given the hassle they can get. I can see it getting very iffy outside polling stations on Thursday, would love to see some in the east end of Glasgow at 9pm.

No sympathy for Miliband mind, his party are widely regarded as the most intimidating and aggressive on the ground here and they've had no problem using hired goons from the unions etc to bully in the past.

I also saw the most bizarre thing ever on Sky News, two opposite supporters chanting Alex Salmond with either 'lair' or 'truth' at the end behind the camera lol

Yep, we certainly should be looking to attract Scotland's richest and brightest in the event of a 'Yes' vote as soon as it finishes, I think they know exactly what they will be on the end of when it comes to their earnings as soon as Salmond's fantasy economy collapses before everyones eyes.

Betfair Sportsbook has paid out on a No vote, very strange.

Not really, bookies always do stuff like this for PR.

It was the sportsbook as well, not the exchange where the liquidity is about ten times as much.

Let's hope that there aren't too many rich and bright people in Scotland, then. It would certainly put a lot of English people's noses out of joint if there's a mass influx of Scottish immigrants taking their jobs,  houses and business opportunities due to their superior wealth and intelligence. I suppose that it could be a win-win scenario in the long-term if that influx produces new growth, but that's certainly not going to happen overnight....

What about the non-wealthy, non-bright people in Scotland? Maybe they'll head South when Salmond's fantasy economy collapses? If they're so non-bright that they don't realise their economy is collapsing until Scotland has been independent for a year or two, that might be OK as the Boris/Farage government will have had time to mount machine-gun posts all along Hadrian's Wall to protect the rich, bright people in the English laager.

But even under Salmond's extremely optimistic scenario, it will take 18 months for the terms of independence to be negotiated and implemented. What if all the thick, wealth-deprived Scottish plebs realise that it's going pear-shaped before independence is finalised? They'd still be British citizens and entitled to move to England, wouldn't they? There could be refugee camps instead of caravans in the Lake District, a ragged sporran-swinging army shuffling across the Tyne Bridge into Jarrow ready to work for half the pay of the Geordies. There would be empty cans of Tennents Super and Irn-Bru scattered all over the lawns and golf courses of England, hounds from the Quorn Hunt choking on half-eaten deep-fried Mars Bars.... It would be a nightmare for the true England, the England of wealth and intelligence, low tax and easy superiority, self-interest and high morality.... Let the piper wind up his bagpipes and play a sad lament for noble England for we're doomed, I tell you, doomed!
