AKCJ Posted 2 February 2013 Posted 2 February 2013 Noticed Lamby had posted on this thread and he did not disappoint
StanSP Posted 2 February 2013 Posted 2 February 2013 Always next season to claim the points back Claim points back? Next season's points don't take away another team's points from this year, Lamby.
acooling08 Posted 2 February 2013 Posted 2 February 2013 Bad results for us today, we need to go and beat Cardiff at their place.
Leicester_Loyal Posted 2 February 2013 Posted 2 February 2013 Bad results for us today, we need to go and beat Cardiff at their place. Forget Cardiff, we aren't catching them. 2nd place is fine.
StanSP Posted 2 February 2013 Posted 2 February 2013 Forget Cardiff, we aren't catching them. 2nd place is fine. Have choked previously. 2nd place is fine, but I hope the players at least are hoping to catch them. It's having that drive and determination which has got us back up to 2nd in the first place (no pun intended).
Simmo86 Posted 2 February 2013 Posted 2 February 2013 Catching Cardiff is a pipe dream, all about keeping 2nd place now. Got decent round of fixtures for us next week
purpleronnie Posted 2 February 2013 Posted 2 February 2013 Catching Cardiff is a pipe dream, all about keeping 2nd place now. Got decent round of fixtures for us next week been saying that for months, guess we'll see who's right at the end of the season....i.e me.
Webbo Posted 2 February 2013 Posted 2 February 2013 been saying that for months, guess we'll see who's right at the end of the season....i.e me. You said we'd finish 10th.
Simmo86 Posted 2 February 2013 Posted 2 February 2013 You said we'd finish 10th. Still might! Tough April!
Leicester_Loyal Posted 2 February 2013 Posted 2 February 2013 You said we'd finish 10th. Exactly what I thought. The bloke claims he's right all the time, very rarely is.
SystonFox Posted 2 February 2013 Posted 2 February 2013 Aye and I also said Cardiff would win the league. Bottlers or not 10 pts at this stage is uncatchable even if we beat them at there place
Happy Fox Posted 2 February 2013 Posted 2 February 2013 Until it is mathematically impossible that we cannot win the league I still retain hope.
tartanowl Posted 3 February 2013 Posted 3 February 2013 Last 10 games we have won 7, drawn 2, lost 1. We actually have a half decent striker now in Lita, O'Grady thankfully is gone, we still look reasonably tight at the back, and we're creating and taking chances. Very encouraging. We looked in a real pickle not so long ago yet now we are closer to the final playoff place than we are to Bristol and Peterborough at the bottom. We have another very winnable home game next week against Derby too. Keep this form up and we could be in for an exciting finish!
Libertine Dream Posted 3 February 2013 Posted 3 February 2013 Reckon Wednesday will inherit Ipswich's customary 15th place this season
rico Posted 3 February 2013 Posted 3 February 2013 didn't want t start a new thread, but did anyone see the name of Hartlepools goalscorers yesterday?
Guest shearfox Posted 3 February 2013 Posted 3 February 2013 didn't want t start a new thread, but did anyone see the name of Hartlepools goalscorers yesterday? that is funny, saw it on Sky Sports News
BHAFC Braders Posted 3 February 2013 Posted 3 February 2013 Crazy game! First goal in the first 10 minutes Lita got on the end of a cross and I think he kicked the ball against his face and into the net.. Brighton's player then gets sent off near their corner flag ish. Pugh swings the ball into the box and it goes through everyone and into the back of the net. Then for the 3rd goal from a corner, Keeper flapped at it, Antonio scuffed it and it trickled over the line. Brighton played well, passed it about well. Moan at every decision though but then go to make a few dirty challenges. Dave Jones and one of Brighton's backroom staff got sent off as well.. All kicked off but couldn't see what happened. You can say that again. Absolutely woeful from us , bar the first five minutes of the second half we simply didn't turn up - Kuz had a 'mare and Bridcutt was pants. Barnes was stupid with the red , but it seems after that the ref was on a random generator - soft challenges were getting yellows and rash challenges were getting ignored. But even with a decent ref we would've been bobbins , Wednesday scored three of the easiest goals they'll get this season and be wondering how they didn't get more. Upson looked ok , CMS looked promising = other then that woeful.

Have no ill feeling towards your team at all but if you think you'll remotely threaten a play off spot you're sadly deluded. Mid table mediocrity awaits. Although you will finish above Forest so fair play!!!!

BHAFC Braders Posted 3 February 2013 Posted 3 February 2013 Do you reckon you could finish top two with a strong run? oh , you're serious. Yesterday blew our chances of top six - the main thing for me is we're nowhere near ready , we had a nice run that made us think it was possible but we were terrible (I meant to end that with fair play Wednesday and congratulations but was disgusted with our performance that much I forgot) We've been outplayed completely four times this season * against you lot * against the scum from Selhurst park * against Watford down here * Yesterday and all four times we were allowed to be bullied off the ball , the nice tippy tappy style is all well and good against some teams but the lack of plan B scares me.
Super_horns Posted 3 February 2013 Posted 3 February 2013 Well if we lose a number of points the final play-off place could be wide open again...
sdb Posted 3 February 2013 Posted 3 February 2013 Well if we lose a number of points the final play-off place could be wide open again... where do you think you'll finish?

Although you will finish above Forest so fair play!!!! I don't think we will come even remotely close. I agree we will be mid-table, and in my opinion it will be lower mid-table at that, however if we were to keep up the winning percentage that we are on at the moment then we'll finish around the 70 point mark. That's all I was trying to say.
