Lamby Posted 1 January 2013 Posted 1 January 2013 I've heard the phrase "pot calling the kettle black", but I think a modified version of the "pot calling the pot a pot" is more suited to you. Perhaps you could give them logistics advice on how to bus in fans from surrounding areas. Like from Hatfield and Luton?
Danizen Posted 1 January 2013 Posted 1 January 2013 Cardiff have 20 games to play, same as us. There are 60 points to be won and lost between now and May, a lot considering Cardiff are habitual bottlers. Nobody has won anything yet. This. Let's see how they look after a wobble.
Leicesterpool Posted 1 January 2013 Posted 1 January 2013 Been on the huddersfield forum, they already talk about sacking Grayson. They were awful today and haven't won in a while, but Grayson is still a good average championship manager, he'll be the right man to keep them up. Sacking him i think will cause problems for them! They should only sack him if they actually go down!
accessory Posted 2 January 2013 Posted 2 January 2013 No way should Huddersfield go down. It'll be 3 from Bristol City, Barnsley, Peterborough and the wendies.
Leicesterpool Posted 2 January 2013 Posted 2 January 2013 It's becoming very tight near the bottom, Peterborough are getting some good results score no end of goals, Barnsley if they get the right man i think they can stay up, Birmingham really look poor at times I think they'll stay up but just about, I think the best thing for Wolves is too sack Stale, he doesn't have a clue about this level it was huge gamble appointing him in the first place, Wolves to be fair are sort of a big club they can attract a big name like Billy Davies you can guide them towards the play off places. At the moment under this guy i would say they look in danger of going down! Ipswich seem to be finding there way now under McCarthy and with January coming up I can imagine he'll bring in his own players so they may just be alright but don't rule it out. Sheffield Wednesday are hit and miss all the time, one minute good and one minute bad, i think they can survive as long as they stick with Jones. Bristol City to go down I think, they've been due to go down for a while and i think it's there turn.
FoxyPV Posted 2 January 2013 Posted 2 January 2013 Watford had to get their mascot to walk the edge of the pitch whilst banging a drum to try to get an atmosphere going, it didn't work..tinpot club. And why are they called the Golden Boys? It sounds more like a porno than anything I forgot that going to the Valley is like stepping into a mixture of an Old Firm/ the classico and Kıtalar Arası Derbi. More atmosphere in a morgue.
Guest Bilo Posted 2 January 2013 Posted 2 January 2013 Say what you like about Hull, they're not going to be outdone in the cringe league.
Super_horns Posted 2 January 2013 Posted 2 January 2013 Well its true our home crowd is usually very quiet. Mind you don't forget the bit next to the away end is a family area. I will admit we lack atmosphere.
Corky Posted 2 January 2013 Posted 2 January 2013 Say what you like about Hull, they're not going to be outdone in the cringe league. GET YOUR CLAWS OUT FOR THE LADS

Maidstone United are regularly getting over 1,000 through the gates (2,000 yesterday) which is incredible for the division they are in Less and less seeking out Charlton for their football fix.
Out Foxed Posted 2 January 2013 Posted 2 January 2013 i wonder how much big spending blackburn paid for josh king
ADK Posted 2 January 2013 Posted 2 January 2013 I couldn't care less if people call us "big spending"
sdb Posted 2 January 2013 Posted 2 January 2013 Would love to know the cost of each Championship squad. I'm sure we'd be top 5 or 6, but i'm sure we'd be behind a few. Does Pearson ever really spend much more than £1 mill on a player?!
Fox92 Posted 2 January 2013 Posted 2 January 2013 i wonder how much big spending blackburn paid for josh king Doesn't matter if they paid £50million for him, we would still be known as 'big spending Leicester'.

Terrier Posted 2 January 2013 Posted 2 January 2013 And then people was saying Blackburn paid too much for Jordan Rhodes....
Guest Posted 2 January 2013 Posted 2 January 2013 Chris Wood? I think the key word there was 'much' more
sdb Posted 2 January 2013 Posted 2 January 2013 Chris Wood? £1.25mill right? Not much more than a million.
iamafox Posted 2 January 2013 Posted 2 January 2013 £1.25mill right? Not much more than a million. Leicester Mercury have said £2m.
sdb Posted 2 January 2013 Posted 2 January 2013 Leicester Mercury have said £2m. £0.75 add ons (i.e. promotion based) though it's been widely reported. Anyway can people stop being so picky and calculate the price of each squad in the league? Thank you.
igorman Posted 3 January 2013 Posted 3 January 2013 @sdb Our (Derby) starting line-up and 7 subs tuesday comes to the grand total of £3.5m - obviously thats not gonna be 100% accurate but it won`t be THAT far off
The People's Hero Posted 3 January 2013 Posted 3 January 2013 That Hughes (Derby) looks a quality player.
dogadug Posted 3 January 2013 Posted 3 January 2013 @sdb Our (Derby) starting line-up and 7 subs tuesday comes to the grand total of £3.5m - obviously thats not gonna be 100% accurate but it won`t be THAT far off Just out of interest, who was your most expensive player to buy? How much longer do you reckon you'll hold onto Will Hughes for?
ADK Posted 3 January 2013 Posted 3 January 2013 Its not really relevant though how much each squad cost. Wages are the biggest outlay.
igorman Posted 3 January 2013 Posted 3 January 2013 Connor Sammon fee was reported to be £1m - 1.2m Keough fee was also reported at around the same price BUT that involved a player going theother way so we won`t have paid the full £1m mext highest was Brayford from Crewe a couple of year back at 500k the rest are just odds and sods Will hughes is a fabulous player - exscuse me for getting a tad carried away here but i reckon he could walk into ANY prem side today and he would still shine as for how long he'll still be with us - can`t see him pulling on a derby shirt next season thats for sure ..oh , however much he goes for Clough won`t see very much of it as for wages - i bet we're in the bottom 5 in the division BUT our owners still claim we're over budget
