Corky Posted 17 September 2012 Posted 17 September 2012 What a free transfer Ba was. Incredible value.
Jaspa Posted 18 September 2012 Posted 18 September 2012 Anyone else see Leighton Baines' Nazi salute during his celebration? I'll be amazed if he doesn't get in trouble for that, no matter how funny it is! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=29m3-18pQhY The Nazi salute is done with the right arm, had this same discussion when that German guy at the Olympics opening ceremony did it And them highlights wont be up for long, enjoy while you can
Matt Posted 21 September 2012 Posted 21 September 2012 Another will they won't they mockery about pre-match handshakes. What bullshit?! Suarez v Evra. Pre-match handshakes - They're just a sideshow, they cause more hassle and controversy than they are worth. Pointless.

Pre-match handshakes - They're just a sideshow, they cause more hassle and controversy than they are worth. Pointless. Its not worthless at all The pre-match hand shakes are supposed to signify honour in battle and respect for your opponents as well as ceramony, something that does good for the image of the Premier League what with it being a global product. What this situation does say, is we have some players out there not worthy of respresenting the League, and shows really bad/corupt things possibly going on under the surface. Hope they keep it, and get rid of the tw@s in due time :fc: .
Corky Posted 21 September 2012 Posted 21 September 2012 Just get on with it this weekend. This is Liverpool's first opportunity to tribute their own supporters at Anfield since the documents came out last week. That's what you want to talk about after the game, along with what happened on the pitch. No need for a side issue like this.
Leicesterpool Posted 21 September 2012 Posted 21 September 2012 I can see Mark Hughes getting the sack at QPR soon, my odds are on Redknapp going there.
Jimothy Posted 21 September 2012 Posted 21 September 2012 I can see Mark Hughes getting the sack at QPR soon, my odds are on Redknapp going there. Are you just saying that because you haven't started a poll in weeks and you're getting withdrawal symptoms?
Jaspa Posted 21 September 2012 Posted 21 September 2012 http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/19667219 Micheal Laudrup thinks its OK to purposly play better in some games than others . . . if your getting payed by other clubs for it of course Sign of curruption or completely fine ?
Ross-Kemp Posted 22 September 2012 Posted 22 September 2012 http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/19667219 Micheal Laudrup thinks its OK to purposly play better in some games than others . . . if your getting payed by other clubs for it of course Sign of curruption or completely fine ? Have you actually read the article ? What he said was that he doesn't see a problem with other teams giving his team a bonus if they win. How on gods earth is playing to win for a bonus match fixing ?
AjcW Posted 22 September 2012 Posted 22 September 2012 Well I have really enjoyed watching Everton this season and Swansea have started sharp so this one could be a cracker! If it's anything like Everton v Newcastle second half on Monday night it'll be great. I'm going for 3-2 Everton.
Jimothy Posted 22 September 2012 Posted 22 September 2012 Really harsh red card for Nathan Dyer. The second yellow was deserved for a bit of lunging tackle on Baines, but the first one was for dissent. The camera angle at the time was pretty close to him and the ref, he says something, the ref warns him, Dyer shrugs his shoulders and the ref pulls out the yellow card. Very harsh booking. The ref has blatantly said "Any more of that and you'll be booked" and all he did after was shrug his shoulders. How can you book someone for that? Everton worth their 2-0 lead though. Swansea have had their moment, but Everton are much the stronger team.
Corky Posted 22 September 2012 Posted 22 September 2012 Everton with a complete away performance. Blimey they were dominant.

How on gods earth is playing to win for a bonus match fixing ? Indeed. I see what Laudrup means, but he should know it could've been misconstrued. It's not exactly unheard of that players are promised bonuses upon an important win or qualification. That's never been a problem. Much ado about nothing it seems. Really harsh red card for Nathan Dyer. The second yellow was deserved for a bit of lunging tackle on Baines, but the first one was for dissent. Swansea have had their moment, but Everton are much the stronger team. Swansea already looked frail when Taylor and Chico played, but my word, how poor was Tate?! It speaks volumes that he was subbed so Ki could go into central defense! I'm afraid they'll be going nowhere but down if they don't sort it out asap, and I don't see that happening without added quality. Even Williams has been horrendous from the start of the season.
Jimothy Posted 22 September 2012 Posted 22 September 2012 Interviewer on BBC final scored just said to Ashley Cole "You've had to wait a while for your first goal in a while haven't you?"
Corky Posted 22 September 2012 Posted 22 September 2012 I can see Mark Hughes getting the sack at QPR soon, my odds are on Redknapp going there. Lambert might go soon
Jimothy Posted 22 September 2012 Posted 22 September 2012 Did Steve Wilson on MOTD really just say that right back was an unfamiliar position for Seamus Coleman? Talk about clueless.
StanSP Posted 22 September 2012 Posted 22 September 2012 Did Steve Wilson on MOTD really just say that right back was an unfamiliar position for Seamus Coleman? Talk about clueless. Absurd ain't it?! It's where he played for Cork and why he got signed up in the first place. It wasn't til Everton got a bit short on players that Moyes shifted him up. Right mid is the unfamiliar position!!

That fact we both know that, and he doesn't when it's his job to research the teams he's talking about is shocking. Like you say it's where he always played, and only moved to right wing when Everton had injuries. I think he'd pushed Hibbert out the team at one point until he got injured himself. Next thing we'll be getting told how Phil Neville doing well in his unfamiliar midfield role.
Leicfox Posted 23 September 2012 Posted 23 September 2012 Great stuff from both players and fans at Anfield.

Next thing we'll be getting told how Phil Neville doing well in his unfamiliar midfield role. The Wolves programme the other day was ridiculous. Firstly it said that Ben Marshall had taken over the captaincy from Richie Wellens. Then it had a picture of Marshall with the caption "Matty James". There was something else completely unprofessional in there but I forget what it was now. Really grinds my gears.
Guest ttfn Posted 23 September 2012 Posted 23 September 2012 Liverpool look 100 times better than Manchester United. This is the worst United team I can remember. And as I type this Shelvey's being sent off. Evans should have gone for that too. Another thing that pisses me off. Both threw themselves into that.
Tom17LCFC Posted 23 September 2012 Posted 23 September 2012 That's a tough one. It was reckless and he looked out of control, but not sure if it deserves a red.
