StanSP Posted 3 September 2012 Posted 3 September 2012 Still find it weird RVP playing for Utd, but his took his first goal well. Trademark stuff from him. Good header for the 3rd too. Also, not sure who posted it on Twitter earlier today or yesterday so not sure of its validity but how coincidental is this (if true)... Ruud Van Nistelrooy's first goal for Utd was against Fulham, and first hat-trick for Utd was against Southampton. Robin Van Persie's first goal for Utd was against Fulham, and first hat-trick for Utd was against Southampton. .

AyewJoking Posted 3 September 2012 Posted 3 September 2012 And they're both Dutch! And they've both scored for Netherlands! And they've both played in the EPL!
Fox92 Posted 3 September 2012 Posted 3 September 2012 Police investigating the murder of a man in a city street arrested four suspects during a Premier League football game, it has been confirmed. Stuart Smith, 33, from London, died in the early hours of Sunday morning following an alleged assault in Liverpool city centre. The four men, two aged 39, and a 33-year-old and a 27-year-old, who are also from the London area, were later arrested inside Anfield during Liverpool's game against Arsenal.

Matt Posted 14 September 2012 Posted 14 September 2012 Breaking News - The pre-match handshake between QPR and Chelsea this weekend will take place, Well thank-fuck for that, that has put my worries to rest
Corky Posted 14 September 2012 Posted 14 September 2012 Just do away with it for good, such a pointless exercise which takes up far too much attention. Let them shake hands at the end.
Corky Posted 15 September 2012 Posted 15 September 2012 Norwich v West Ham- contender for worst game of the season. Dreadful, dull, qualityless football.
purpleronnie Posted 15 September 2012 Posted 15 September 2012 Norwich v West Ham- contender for worst game of the season. Dreadful, dull, qualityless football. Remind me again why the premiership is so popular. I've not seen a good game yet.....I must keep missing the good ones. Checkout portland seattle for a proper game...on and off the pitch.

Probably a lot of the matches are pretty dull, but the really good games are the ones people will obviously remember and that is used in the marketing.

Just from the televised games this season, the two Southampton games against the Manchester clubs were both good games, as was Liverpool v Man City.
purpleronnie Posted 15 September 2012 Posted 15 September 2012 Just from the televised games this season, the two Southampton games against the Manchester clubs were both good games, as was Liverpool v Man City. No question there are good games...I just keep missing them!
Jimothy Posted 15 September 2012 Posted 15 September 2012 No question there are good games...I just keep missing them! If you watch any games that don't involve Stoke, West Ham, Wigan, and Aston Villa, you should be fine.
Ozwin Posted 15 September 2012 Posted 15 September 2012 The handshakes didn't happen then. Must be well awkward.
whoareyaaa Posted 15 September 2012 Posted 15 September 2012 No hand shake then for JT and Cole then, like the way Cole spat when Ferdinhand was near him... Childish really Anton should of just shook their hands.
Jimothy Posted 15 September 2012 Posted 15 September 2012 So Ferdinand didn't shake Terry or Cole's hands. Gotta say, as Terry has been found innocent, if I was a Chelsea player I would have refused Ferdinand's hand. I don't like Terry, but all this from something Ferdinand didn't even hear at the time and only became aware of once a viewer thought they spotted it, and has been found in a court of law to probably have not even happened, I think it's time for Ferdinand to let go.
purpleronnie Posted 15 September 2012 Posted 15 September 2012 I know it will never happen but I wish we'd scratch all this handshaking rubbish..
Tom17LCFC Posted 15 September 2012 Posted 15 September 2012 I don't like Terry but Anton really needs to grow up. It's got ridiculous now.
21st Century Fox Posted 15 September 2012 Posted 15 September 2012 Brilliant freekick from Podolski!! I hope Arsenal absolutely stuff the scum.
Mack Posted 15 September 2012 Posted 15 September 2012 Southampton getting hammered Don't be surprised to see a certain Mr Redknapp pop up there very soon.
EnderbyFox Posted 15 September 2012 Posted 15 September 2012 I don't know.. After all Adkins has done for Southampton i'd have thought they'd give him a little longer considering the opening games they've had (Man City, Utd, Arsenal)
