Soar Fox Posted 25 December 2012 Posted 25 December 2012 I don't like watching it. The killing him comment was slightly too far, but it could have hurt him, his neck shot forward then back. Every time I see a replay though, it looks like Williams meant to do it. It looks intentional to me also. Like you say the killing comment was a bit too far but striking the ball that hard and close could of broke his neck or even some damage with a blow to the head with such force.

This is not some fragile 80 year-old granny, this is a professional athlete in his prime. A neck break would have been very, very unlikely even if he'd kicked RVP in the head. Ashley Williams is a nob for doing it, though.
Super_horns Posted 26 December 2012 Posted 26 December 2012  Newcastle 1 up within 6minutes at OT Evans scored for Man u then scored an OG..which was given as offiside orginally but the officials RIGHTLY according to 5live did a u-turn. I am sure Sir Fergie has his ref rant in mind though if they lose.
Corky Posted 26 December 2012 Posted 26 December 2012 Brad Freidel has signed a contract through to his 74th birthday.
Fox92 Posted 26 December 2012 Posted 26 December 2012 Spurs all over Villa here. Can't see anything but a Tottenham win. 41mins gone and they've had 15 corners to Villa's 0.
Leicesterpool Posted 26 December 2012 Posted 26 December 2012 Villa must go down. So bad. Villa look abysmal i agree, it's a school team week in week out, what on earth is Lambert playing at I don't know.
lcfcsnow Posted 26 December 2012 Posted 26 December 2012 Villa must go down. So bad. Like most seasons but somehow there is always 3 teams worse than them. :xmasangry:
Corky Posted 26 December 2012 Posted 26 December 2012 Villa look abysmal i agree, it's a school team week in week out, what on earth is Lambert is playing at I don't know. Questions need to be asked. The goal difference now is -21. Like most seasons but somehow there is always 3 teams worse than them. :xmasangry: QPR and Reading are going. Out of Saints, Wigan and Villa for 18th place I think.
Leicesterpool Posted 26 December 2012 Posted 26 December 2012 Don't want Villa to go down. Hoping for Wigan. I hope so aswell, the only good thing going to Villa's way is the bottom three clubs are even more crap. Wigan like drawing matches but don't win many, Southampton look weak and most of the players to be fair are average championship players, Reading are simply struggling, QPR the same but with too many players, playing for there wages than there shirt. The bottom three i think might be Southampton, Reading & QPR. Wigan and Villa might be safe
Soar Fox Posted 26 December 2012 Posted 26 December 2012 Just watching the Stoke v Liverpool game and got to say Stoke are such a good, hard working solid team. I know a lot of people on here don't like them but the team Pulis has built together should be admired. Every single player puts a shift in there's no "big name" players in there just honest professionals. They've also got a few players who can play a bit. Just goes to show you don't need to go splashing the cash around.
Corky Posted 26 December 2012 Posted 26 December 2012 They have splashed the cash around, but what they do they do very well. Not particularly nice to watch but Brendan's philosophy was nowhere near good enough tonight.
Super_horns Posted 26 December 2012 Posted 26 December 2012 Is Rodgers under pressure from the Liverpool fans or do they accept its work in progress. Feel January signings will be key.
AjcW Posted 26 December 2012 Posted 26 December 2012 Is Rodgers under pressure from the Liverpool fans or do they accept its work in progress. Feel January signings will be key. They actually played football tonight stoke... a lot more so than Liverpool. And that's coming from someone who wishes Rodgers idea's would start bearing fruit! Also, what a fantastic game, and a great double header, enjoyable evening of football.
Fox92 Posted 26 December 2012 Posted 26 December 2012 Hate Stoke but got to admit the effort and passion is installed in them. Liverpool are missing real quality. I'd rather Wigan not go down. I like them.
Guest ttfn Posted 26 December 2012 Posted 26 December 2012 Really getting fed up with United digging themselves out of trouble. Van Persie, Vidic and Rooney aside, the current incarnation of what was once a serious powerhouse of a football club lacks any discernible quality.
Soar Fox Posted 26 December 2012 Posted 26 December 2012 They have splashed the cash around, but what they do they do very well. Not particularly nice to watch but Brendan's philosophy was nowhere near good enough tonight. Yeah they have spent a bit of cash nothing beyond there means I don't think though. Looking at there bench tonight they had some real quality on there. Michael Owen couldn't even make the squad.
Leicesterpool Posted 26 December 2012 Posted 26 December 2012 Why do I get that feeling all the money that Stoke are splashing around will one day come back to haunt them, seems to remind of Portsmouth when they just won the fa cup and we're signing top class players before not to long it came back to haunt them.

Unfortunately, I very much doubt that will happen. The Coates family who own Stoke are very astute and responsible business people who could probably throw a lot more dosh at the club if they wanted to. As much as I hate them, they as good a model as any other club in the PL.
