Super_horns Posted 15 December 2012 Posted 15 December 2012 QPR finally going to win...mind you most teams beat Fulham at home.
Matt Posted 15 December 2012 Posted 15 December 2012 Another Racism allegation, I shouldn't yawn, It shouldn't happen, but it's just getting abit OTT now, all of a sudden there are new allergations every week, are you telling me it's coincidence, perhaps people feel more able and comfortable to report it at the moment, I don't know, Obviously it shouldn't happen and does need erradicating but it's just overshadowing everything at the moment. http://www.mirror.co...stigate-1491693 Police are investigating an allegation of racist abuse after Manchester City star Aleksandar Kolarov became involved in a heated exchange with a spectator at St James' Park. Manchester City star Aleksandar Kolarov is been investigated by police after a St James' Park spectator made allegations of racist abuse against him. The left-back reportedly was involved in a heated exchange and the sidelines, and Northumbria Police have confirmed that they received a complaint in the wake of City's 3-1 Barclays Premier League victory at Newcastle this afternoon. A spokesman said: "Northumbria Police has received a report of racist language having been used at the St James' Park stadium during the Newcastle United v Manchester City match today. "Northumbria Police takes such allegations extremely seriously and enquiries are ongoing into the incident." It is understood 27-year-old Serbia international Kolarov became involved in a lengthy exchange with a supporter carrying an Albania flag as he warmed up on the sideline during the game. There is a long history of tension between Serbia and Albania, particularly over the disputed Kosovo region. Neither club was commenting on the matter today, although it is understood that Kolarov will be spoken to by police next week. The defender was introduced as a 37th-minute replacement for the injured Samir Nasri, but was also substituted 18 minutes from time.
Jimothy Posted 15 December 2012 Posted 15 December 2012 Another Racism allegation, I shouldn't yawn, It shouldn't happen, but it's just getting abit OTT now, all of a sudden there are new allergations every week, are you telling me it's coincidence, perhaps people feel more able and comfortable to report it at the moment, I don't know, Obviously it shouldn't happen and does need erradicating but it's just overshadowing everything at the moment. http://www.mirror.co...stigate-1491693 Said something similar in the thread about Lee Croft earlier this season. It has got me thinking though, the recent Suarez and Terry cases may encourage people to come forward more when they are subjected to racial abuse which is a great thing. But also especially in the Terry case, where the victim didn't even hear the words uttered was able to get a man charged with an offence he wasn't aware of even happening, shows how easy it can be to to shout racism. So it's a two sided coin, one side it helps genuine victims have courage to come forward, but it could also encourage people to think it's ok to use the race card just because someone with different colour skin got a bit angry with them. My sister is a teacher, and from her experience I know this happens a lot in her school. She's told black kids off, and gets back "You're only telling me off because I'm black" . It really pisses her off and she lays into them telling them it's disrespectful to the real victims of racial abuse. I'm all for kicking racism out of not just football but life, it's disgusting, but I also don't want to see claims of racism used as a tool to get people punished just because a person of one colour get's a little pissed off with a person of another colour. Basically it just seems now every time someone with one colour skins or of one nationality gets pissed off with person of another colour skin or of another nationality the race card gets played. It's just getting ridiculous. Like you say it can't be coincidence, it seems like the it's the fashionable thing at the minute. Either a lot of people have not come forward about racist incidents in the past or we are meant to believe that a lot of people who have played football, under the extreme media spotlight, in this country for many years have done very well hiding their racist views.
Leicesterpool Posted 15 December 2012 Posted 15 December 2012 A great day for Villa! can you believe that Liverpool at 25 shots at goal today and still lost! Poor Brendan Rodgers will go through the mill now! never mind a great for Villa!
leicesterisme Posted 15 December 2012 Posted 15 December 2012 Fellaini's headbutt on Shawcross is brilliant. Pulis complaining about it aswell, makes it even better.
Soar Fox Posted 15 December 2012 Posted 15 December 2012 Fellaini's headbutt on Shawcross is brilliant. Pulis complaining about it aswell, makes it even better. You've obviously never been head butted have you. Idiot. If I did that tonight in town I'd be looking at 6 months for GBH. Disgusting what these footballers get away with.
ScouseFox Posted 15 December 2012 Posted 15 December 2012 It was fúcking funny though, because everyone hates Stoke
Soar Fox Posted 15 December 2012 Posted 15 December 2012 It was fúcking funny though, because everyone hates Stoke So cause you don't like Stoke it's funny to watch someone being headbutted? I don't like some scousers but I wouldn't headbutt you cause you are from Liverpool.

I don't like some scousers but I wouldn't headbutt you cause you are from Liverpool. Chill Winston. It's not like Stoke City don't go around deliberately kicking lumps out of players and throw their elbows around week-in and week-out. They're just as dirty, but on the sly. Edit: Remember Wilkinson on Balotelli earlier in the season? Live by the sword, die by the sword.

marko Posted 15 December 2012 Posted 15 December 2012 Ah that makes it ok then. Could you just point out exactly where I said it was ok, please? If you actually read I said they're just as dirty, indicating I thought Fellani was dirty. What I'm trying to say is if you're willing dish it out on a weekly basis, you've got to expect some to come back your way.
Corky Posted 15 December 2012 Posted 15 December 2012 At least Moyes accepted it and understands that it was a disgraceful act. Other managers (including the one complaining) have not been so quick to condemn their own.

I don't like some scousers but I wouldn't headbutt you cause you are from Liverpool. I didn't watch the full 90 minutes (and assume you didn't either), but I would tend to agree with marko in that Fellaini had probably been battered around for the previous 75 minutes. That doesn't give him the right to headbutt anyone, obviously, but he lost it for a split second, and if you've seen the clip you'll see that when he headbutted him Shawcross has his arms wrapped round him. If I'd spent 75 minutes being a massive cúnt to you, I'd probably expect to be headbutted, to be honest.
ScouseFox Posted 15 December 2012 Posted 15 December 2012 Two things. Liverpool ahhshhahahhaahugsauahahajshajhsjhahahhahahaha And Villa's second goal was boss.

Guest MattP Posted 16 December 2012 Posted 16 December 2012 The chap clearly wanted christmas off, no other reason for a placid player like him to do that. Glad there was a racism allegation today, sky sports news nearly had to go 9 hours without a story about one, a Serbian fits the bill perfect as well. Top story, lock him up.

Guest MattP Posted 16 December 2012 Posted 16 December 2012 The story is hilarious... 'Kolarov responded to two Albanian Newcastle fans with an Albania flag', plebs I just laughed and turned over when I saw it, can't wait to read what's been said tomorrow though. 'A Serbian being questioned over racist abuse of two Albanian Newcastle fans' - Only in the Premier League, Great Britain 2012. Incredible.
Carl the Llama Posted 16 December 2012 Posted 16 December 2012 W/r Fellaini vs Shawcross: Fair fvcking play to Moyes - came out after the match and didn't even try to pretend his player was in the right. That said, the morons on MOTD were incredibly keen to deplore Marouane's behaviour, completely ignoring the obvious grabbing and shoving from Shawcross which riled him in the first place. Both lads deserve a ban, Marouane obviously deserving a harsher one.
ScouseFox Posted 16 December 2012 Posted 16 December 2012 I just can't take anything Shearer says about incidents like that seriously. The man nearly put Neil Lennon's head in row Z at Filbert Street and wasn't even punished for it. But continually says things such as "I dunno why any player would be stupid enough to lash out violently like that and think they'd get away with it, there's cameras everywhere". Tit.

I know, it's brilliant listening to him condemn players for that, and general elbowing. At least they'll be punished for it Alan.
Fox92 Posted 16 December 2012 Posted 16 December 2012 Allen reminds me of Andy King. Ability to pass sidewards, and backwards, and gets knocked off of the ball fairly easy. Villa's second goal was quality though. If Barcelona or Manchester United had done that, the media would be all over it.

Villa's second goal was quality though. If Barcelona or Manchester United had done that, the media would be all over it. Difference between King and Allen though is they King can affect the game. He gets forward, pops up with a goal, can slip the decent through ball through. Allen just plays between the D of his defensive box and the centre circle passing the ball sideways. He rarely does anything else and rarely wonders far from the area I mentioned. King has sparks every now and then, Allen doesn't. King will win us more points this season than Allen will for Liverpool.
