foxfanazer Posted 17 December 2012 Posted 17 December 2012 'But it was against Stoke they deserve it, Fair play to Fellani' Gary Neville has just made a great point, yes Stoke are a dirty, horrible team but at the end of the day alot of the time Stoke just get on with things, he just shown a clip of a Stoke player getting absoloutly clattered (Can't remember what Stoke player go tackled, who it was against, e.t.c) the Stoke player just got up and actually shook the oppositions hand. If that happened to a 'big team' player, or even a lower team player who made a meal off it, it would have been being shown for 48+ hours after the game, he didn't though he got up, shook his hand and got on with the game. On a whole Stoke give as good as they get, the difference? They don't make a meal of things, they get on with the game. I didn't even know Crouch had his teeth knocked out till the other day - I'm not sure if there was a big hoohar about it at the time, but I certainly knew nothing about it. (Although i'm not sure if it was an accidental header/his fault - That may have been the case) Yes Shawcross went down after being headbutted but I think most would after being headbutted. I'm not a Stoke fan for one second, I wouldn't even say I like Stoke, but am getting abit pissed of with people jumping on the 'Stoke deserve everything they get' bandwagon, like I said they give as good as they get and if alot of other teams and players followed suit the game would flow alot better, there wouldn't be half as much diving. How many players certainly from the top sides be on the end of that tackle and get up and on with the game? How many players certainly from the top sides and foreign (Oops, being racist there no doubt) players make a meal out of a tackle like that? i loved Wilkinson's reaction to that. Geezer!
Bert Posted 17 December 2012 Posted 17 December 2012 To be fair to Stoke, at least they give as good as they get.

Stoke remind me a bit of leicester under MON, well organised strong at the back and could actually play a bit in midfield. George graham once said "Running nto the leicester defence is like running into a brick wall"
SystonFox Posted 17 December 2012 Posted 17 December 2012 As the last poster just stated. Quality post that Matt. I hate to agree cos I dislike stoke and their poor hoofball thuggery tactics but yer spot on la!
Adster Posted 19 December 2012 Posted 19 December 2012 Swansea now 8/11 to sign David Villa, slashed from 40/1!!!!! lol
Jimothy Posted 19 December 2012 Posted 19 December 2012 Swansea now 8/1 to sign David Villa, slashed from 40/1!!!!! lol Try 8/11!!!!! EDIT: Now evens.

Did Gardner get sent off for that? if he tackled someone from a big club he'd have been sent off instantly.
Fox92 Posted 20 December 2012 Posted 20 December 2012 That Gardner foul wasn't that much of a foul though, not worth a red card imo. Sometimes it's how fast the players are running at.
Leicesterpool Posted 21 December 2012 Posted 21 December 2012 On Liverpool in a other post I mentioned I've noticed there going in the same pattern as Newcastle we're a few years ago. For example manager wise, Newcastle hired highly rated manager in Sam Allardyce from Bolton didn't work out was gone by December I think, replaced by a club legend in Kevin Keegan who was there for a few months did nothing eventually he left newcastle after falling out with Mike Ashley, highly Joe Kinnear steps in to sort things, overall doesn't work eventually he's forced to leave on health reasons. He's then replaced by Alan Shearer another club legend who takes the club in the wrong direction to get them relegated. Liverpool- They hire highly rated manager Roy Hodgson from Fulham, doesn't work out sacked after losing to Northampton in the league cup around october/november replaced by a club legend who's there for a couple of season's, does lift a trophy but they still miss out on the champions league they got bored of him and sack him and replace him with another highly rated manager in Brendan Rodgers of course at the moment Liverpool sit outside the top ten looking very poor. Clubs like Liverpool and Newcastle are obsessed on bringing back legends who they think will turn round the club! and infact take the club in the wrong direction.
Corky Posted 21 December 2012 Posted 21 December 2012 Liverpool will not go down, Newcastle shouldn't with their squad in 2009.
Leicesterpool Posted 21 December 2012 Posted 21 December 2012 Liverpool will not go down, Newcastle shouldn't with their squad in 2009. I'm not saying Liverpool will go down but they are going in the same pattern though!
Fox92 Posted 21 December 2012 Posted 21 December 2012 Chelsea as well then? I don't think it's a pattern, whatever, just that when Dalglish stepped in at Liverpool I recall him doing well. They won at Chelsea, at Sunderland, etc and he managed to just balance them out. Di Matteo obviously won the European Cup of all trophies, at Chelsea.
SystonFox Posted 22 December 2012 Posted 22 December 2012 Wigan v Arsenal could be an entertaining game 0-0 then
Uncle Phil Posted 22 December 2012 Posted 22 December 2012 Wigan v Arsenal could be an entertaining game 0-0 then It wouldn't be if Wigan could actually cross the ball. Their final ball, bar one to Kone, has been beyond terrible.
Jimothy Posted 22 December 2012 Posted 22 December 2012 Wilshere just got booked for probably the best tackle you'll see all season. Referee just reacted to the bench going mad. If he'd actually seen it, he couldn't have given a card. He's now on tightrope, can't really make a tackle. Who says referees don't ruin the game!
SystonFox Posted 22 December 2012 Posted 22 December 2012 Wigan have shaded it without doing anything. Come on the arse lets have a Walcott hoal
Jimothy Posted 22 December 2012 Posted 22 December 2012 Just realised the referee in this Wigan Arsenal game is Jon Moss. No wonder he's useless! He's just sent Di Santo to the 4th official for no reason and now he's standing at the side of the pitch, with no injury, no blood, nothing and he's just waiting to come back on.
Jimothy Posted 22 December 2012 Posted 22 December 2012 So it was an earring Di Santo was wearing that he needed to take out! Shouldn't the ref check that in the tunnel? We're halfway through the second half! All the talk of Walcott wanting to play through the middle, he goes out to the wing for about 2 seconds and produces his most effective piece of play all day and wins a penalty.
Super_horns Posted 22 December 2012 Posted 22 December 2012 hm...both West Ham and Everton fans not happy with the ref. Must have had a bad game what with 2 "harsh" red cards.
Fox92 Posted 22 December 2012 Posted 22 December 2012 - Savage said on 606 that the West Ham fans jeered when the referee sent an Everton player off!
