she's a big girl. wonder how much of the buffet the guests saw. She could have took enough to have a reasonable wedding and got away with it.

I am guessing most of it went on the buffet?

Good minds think alike. I was just about to make the very same comment !

Anyway, why do people feel the need to blow so much money on a wedding? Yes it's meant to be the best day of your life and all that but I can't understand why people are willing to get into debt (or even deeper into debt) just for that.

Kirsty Lane fraudulently siphoned large sums from the company where she worked, but her boss Peter Sutton was a guest at the wedding and his suspicions were raised by the sumptuous nature of the event.

"It was the wedding that first started to raise alarm bells. Up to that point we had no idea. She was always claiming poverty and didn't do anything that would tip us off."

Stupid greedy twat.

A lavish wedding includes:

canapes and bucks fizz

balloon modelling

Ugg boots.

She knows how to live it up!

What we need is more TV like the Royal Family or Bread, good honest folk, being normal people and doing normal things, and make people realise that it is ok if you are not "Made in Chelsea" and the only way is not Essex, considering that it cost her 160k, her job, her freedom and her dignity, it really did look quite cheap.

People need to rediscover the beauty in the simple things in life and stop striving for something that doesn't even exist.

I'm guessing a large (no pun intended) portion of the cash was spent knocking her bedroom wall down so she could get out, then rebuilding it...

who said the construction trade was dead atm?

Do people really think they will get away with stuff like this?

And to waste the money on a bloody wedding as well.

Exactly,im sure you have to be very clever to cover your tracks and you would do it for a lot more and clear off for good.

Got a book of short stories by Jeffrey Archer. He got the ideas when in the nick. In the first its about a couple who robbed the Post Office they had set up as a business. They had worked hard all their lives but the head PO did the dirty with the grading of the business. So they gradually syphoned off what they had paid into it. Planned to emigrate to Portugal but had to turn back at the airport because they never had papers for their dog. Went home and the cops were waiting for them. They did it over the Xmas period giving them more time. Well planned but unfortunate and they took no more than what they thought they had been robbed of themselves. Even did scratch cards and kept winnings. Head office allowed so much float each week and they just asked for more putting the extra to one side. all the books balanced when checked. Think they got a light sentence because the judge felt sorry for them.
