I find it quite surprising that Montpellier didn't want him after they signed a new striker, as I thought Knockaert was more of a winger. Welcome, by the way I wondered about that. Maybe Montpellier were playing a striker who's better as a winger, who they can now play in his best position. i don't think so. they sold giroud and replaced him with herrera and charbonnier. they got herrera on a free. charbonnier is young like knockaert and they paid 1.5 for him so i think they decided not to go for him. Welcome, by the way I think his best position would be winger or striker with a man in front of him. For Montpellier they did sign a striker and a winger and they don't have an unlimited budget. Knockaert is a creative player and can do the difference on one to one. I am just a bit worried of his physical capacity as the english defence are a lot more stronger than in France.
