Leicester_Numan Posted 4 August 2012 Posted 4 August 2012 The corner flag is going to miss hanging out with him
Burmesefox Posted 4 August 2012 Posted 4 August 2012 knockeart will rip him a new asre hole when we play them!
Cropwellfox Posted 4 August 2012 Posted 4 August 2012 Suffered from never having proper cover playing in front of him, he couldn't be accused of not trying and I think we will miss him - all of a sudden we seem pretty threadbare at the back.
Lichfieldfox. Posted 4 August 2012 Posted 4 August 2012 Good bit of business from Pearson. He knows defenders and sadly as nice a lad as Pelts is he was not good enough for us. Good luck with Leeds
Jay Posted 4 August 2012 Posted 4 August 2012 Seen better & seen worse, not great going forward, not great in defence did ok but an average right back and nothing more! The twitter love is a but much though
Guest Col city fan Posted 4 August 2012 Posted 4 August 2012 Good luck to him. Have to say Leeds look like they will be there or there about come the end of the new season. Wouldn't surprise me in the slightest
Head Honcho Posted 4 August 2012 Posted 4 August 2012 Good squad player. Can't really say anything but good things about him, except the fact that he was just short of the quality we need at city. He'll do ok at Leeds and good luck to the fella.
fleckneymike Posted 4 August 2012 Posted 4 August 2012 West Ham at home anyone? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TeRa4MWKAtQ
Master Fox Posted 4 August 2012 Posted 4 August 2012 Leeds can kiss goodbye any hopes of promotion next season.
KFS Posted 4 August 2012 Posted 4 August 2012 West Ham at home anyone? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TeRa4MWKAtQ Bamba's positioning for their second is laughable!
fleckneymike Posted 4 August 2012 Posted 4 August 2012 Bamba's positioning for their second is laughable! In Bamba's defence (no pun intended) he was playing CM that evening. The CB pairing was SSL and WM.
Guest Col city fan Posted 4 August 2012 Posted 4 August 2012 Leeds can kiss goodbye any hopes of promotion next season. Why, because they've signed Peltier?
Guest Col city fan Posted 4 August 2012 Posted 4 August 2012 Yes. Can't figure that one but I'll leave it with ya..
KFS Posted 4 August 2012 Posted 4 August 2012 In Bamba's defence (no pun intended) he was playing CM that evening. The CB pairing was SSL and WM. Oh christ, he was! I take it back!
Corky Posted 4 August 2012 Posted 4 August 2012 He's not brilliant but he's not terrible. He always gave his all but was found lacking a few times to many defensively. Baffling how many people think he's "brilliant", Leeds think they are getting an amazing player because of them on twitter. Lee Peltier is superb, bro #bestrbinlcfchistory
LcFc_Smiv Posted 4 August 2012 Posted 4 August 2012 In Bamba's defence (no pun intended) he was playing CM that evening. The CB pairing was SSL and WM. Seem to remember he gave the ball away far too cheaply on the halfway line for their second goal though
Guesty Posted 4 August 2012 Posted 4 August 2012 Not having that Guesty, Konch is 10 times the player of Pelts. Dyer only made 27 starts too and no way is there a correlation between Dyer's presence and Knoch's performances. I never said Peltier was better than Knoch. Konch has 10 plus seasons in the premiership and 2 England caps. Of course hes better than some young kid in his first season in the Championship. I wasn't trying to say Peltier was better, hes not even in the same ball park. Konchesky is one of the best full-backs in the league. All I was trying to point out was I think Peltier's scapegoated when it's not all his fault. I think Knoch would have struggled without any cover infront of him - not as much though because hes a better player. I disagree with the Dyer bit though. I think even just having a winger in front of a full-back makes a difference, which is a luxury Peltier missed far too much last year. Dyer for all his shortcomings doesn't half graft and along with his 27 starts he had 9 sub apperances in the league which is when the full-backs were most tired. Most of the games Dyer didn't start were probably when we played 4-3-3 so there was extra cover. That was probably under Sven when Peltier looked at his best (I can't prove that - am only going off memory, so it could be wrong). I think it's good for everyone he's left though. De laet looks a better player and Peltier did really struggle towards the end of the season, he has positional faults and £850k is a good price.
Leicester_Numan Posted 4 August 2012 Posted 4 August 2012 Vinnie Jones has been tweeting that he's a great signing . Ok Vinnie, i'll look forward to reading your opinion at the end of the season
Stevosevic Posted 4 August 2012 Posted 4 August 2012 Positioning is awful. Always tried hard, so won't slag the lad off on a personal level, he's just not good enough to get where we want to go.
Leicester_Numan Posted 4 August 2012 Posted 4 August 2012 The consensus of opinion on FT is that he's not a bad player but no better than average. Reading the comments on twitter you'd think he was the greatest player we ever had. If he was that good, we wouldn't want to sell him and certainly not for 850k
5waller5 Posted 4 August 2012 Posted 4 August 2012 Looks like fair value to me .... he was a decent player, seemed to have the potential to be better, but had his flaws. Played better for Sven than NP, Leeds will hope they get the same out of him that Sven did, then he's a good signing, get what NP did and he's a good sell. If we replace him with better then great, or with someone that's not better but that hits form under NP.
MattyFromLE Posted 4 August 2012 Posted 4 August 2012 Had big shoes to fill after Naughton, not a bad start in all honesty. Not overly fussed with this one but I trust Pearsons judgement!
