hbkkids Posted 4 August 2012 Posted 4 August 2012 Fee around 850K Link will be posted soon. Check on twitter, every saying goodbyes and good luck. Shame
Fox92 Posted 4 August 2012 Posted 4 August 2012 I like Peltier as a person, slightly shaky as a defender, although he did have no cover from the winger in front of him. Thought he could have been a decent squad player for us, but the 850k is good.
ealingfox Posted 4 August 2012 Posted 4 August 2012 Nothing special, good bit of business as well. Thanks for everything though Pelts.
Mark_w Posted 4 August 2012 Posted 4 August 2012 Good deal that, I'm glad that Moore is going to get a chance as back-up.
kingfox Posted 4 August 2012 Posted 4 August 2012 Like I have said on other threads. Started really well at the club then went dramatically down hill. Good fee aswell, that is a positive sign instead of something like 500k
levein Posted 4 August 2012 Posted 4 August 2012 I think the emergence of Liam Moore had alot to do with the deal for Peltier to leave.
LCFC FOX Posted 4 August 2012 Posted 4 August 2012 Good luck pelts will applaud you. But I do prefer Moore than Peltier
Guest MattP Posted 4 August 2012 Posted 4 August 2012 Glad to see him gone, with him and Bamba out the back four that's a lot of mistakes gone from poor positional play and lack of concentration. Pretty sure we'll see a solid defence again next season.
ozleicester Posted 4 August 2012 Posted 4 August 2012 Disapointing, good quality defender. Thanks Pelts, good luck
Guest Col city fan Posted 4 August 2012 Posted 4 August 2012 Gonna go against the grain a little on this one. I don't think Pelts is a bad player at all. I think he's suffered like the rest of the defence, from a weedy midfield playing in front of him. However, 850k is about right for the player IMO so lets see if Moore and DeLaet can step up and do any better.
Hollism Posted 4 August 2012 Posted 4 August 2012 I'm glad to see we haven't made a loss on him, especially after the fee of 250k was talked about with Huddersfield. I really liked him as a player and I think it was those around him that needed to leave to help him find his form from the start of the season. Also, I can't really picture him fitting in that well at Leeds but that's not really my interest any more
Haydos Posted 4 August 2012 Posted 4 August 2012 Lot of attacks came through the RB position with him there. He was an average Championship RB who was prone to mistakes and concentration lapses.
Bluetintedspecs Posted 4 August 2012 Posted 4 August 2012 Wish him well seemed a genuine and nice bloke, but shan't miss the poor positional play and resultant exposure that caused!
burni Posted 4 August 2012 Posted 4 August 2012 Been pretty decent but Nigel clearly wanted to sell him meaning he must be surplus and worth the fee for us. Im guessing Moore must have the potential and will get more of a look in which is good and De laet as first choice with ledger also an option.
dpjfox Posted 4 August 2012 Posted 4 August 2012 wish him well he was ok, good at first, but imo worth keeping (at least till we have a replacement for SSL)
jonthefox Posted 4 August 2012 Posted 4 August 2012 Sorry to see him go tbh, but i think Moore has the potential to fill the void. Good luck pelts.
marty78 Posted 4 August 2012 Posted 4 August 2012 Best of luck to the lad. Be interesting to see if Moore will be given a shot as back up to De Laet. Decent fee.
glenny_fox Posted 4 August 2012 Posted 4 August 2012 Good fee for someone that clearly wasn't going to feature much this year. Hopefully we can put the cash towards a new player.
MGLCFC Posted 4 August 2012 Posted 4 August 2012 The cash may already have been spent on Kronkaert? Undisclosed fee I understand.
Happy Fox Posted 4 August 2012 Posted 4 August 2012 Leeds is about his level which is average, we are moving upwards in the defensive department Good luck Pelts as you did give your all in terms of performances even if they weren't to the caliber we expect.
fleckneymike Posted 4 August 2012 Posted 4 August 2012 Another to add to the Pantheon of greats alongside Alan Maybury, Darren Kenton, Robbie Neilson et al.
