Col city fan Posted 7 September 2012 Share Posted 7 September 2012 Is anyone else fed up already of the international breaks. England play Moldova tonight and, although I spose I'll be watching it, I don't have my usual excitement at the build up to a City game at the weekend. Who's gonna play for City, who's gonna score, will there be shouts for Pearson out/in.. Will there be another Beckford thread () etc etc. It just ain't the same... And it's BORING.... Opinions please if anyone can be arsed...
MattyFromLE Posted 7 September 2012 Share Posted 7 September 2012 Feel exactly the same! Except I've got my mates stag do to entertain me this weekend! You can't beat a football Saturday!
_Fatboyslow_ Posted 7 September 2012 Share Posted 7 September 2012 And no Becks either, it's going to be hard to enjoy this one
Jimmy Posted 7 September 2012 Share Posted 7 September 2012 get over it its happened this way for as long as I can remember and its not going to change. If you're that bored go and watch Hinckley or someone
Fox92 Posted 7 September 2012 Share Posted 7 September 2012 Always boring... I don't really watch England that much anyway (might watch tonight). An advantage is that the Leagues below us still play, but I wouldn't waste my money watching another team though.
Guest BlueBrett Posted 7 September 2012 Share Posted 7 September 2012 At least it's a qualifier and not some pointless friendly. Still rather be watching Leicester though
Carter The Boss Posted 7 September 2012 Share Posted 7 September 2012 I quite like the qualifiers, but the Friday night games annoy me. I would rather watch City all in, will feel a bit deflated this weekend!
smudge_lcfc89 Posted 7 September 2012 Share Posted 7 September 2012 Agreed! england are slow and boring. sideways and backwards passing and never really spank any dog dirt teams such as moldova by 3 or 4 nil. Gerrard came out this morning and also said we can win the world cup in Brazil! what is in that moldova water!??
Fox92 Posted 7 September 2012 Share Posted 7 September 2012 To be fair though, he isn't going to exactly say we've got no chance.
marty78 Posted 7 September 2012 Share Posted 7 September 2012 I have absolutely no interest in International football other than the actual tournaments. The football isn't of a great standard and even Spain are boring to watch. I would rather watch a non-league and local side personally.
cc_star Posted 7 September 2012 Share Posted 7 September 2012 Hate international breaks Friendlies are always snooze fests, & even qualifiers are almost always rubbish. International football is all about tournaments for me, the rest is a farce... And incredibly boring
Finnegan Posted 7 September 2012 Share Posted 7 September 2012 Miserable ****ing *****. You guys need to qualify less often, you'd take Moldova a bit less for granted if you had a shitter side.

I do support England but it doesn't excite me whatsoever!
foxesfan1989 Posted 7 September 2012 Share Posted 7 September 2012 Club over country for me, always. I would prefer Leicester to be playing this week. But don't get me wrong, i'll watch today and get behind England! Always enjoy supporting the country...just not as much as I do with Leicester. Mike the Metal Ed Posted 7 September 2012 Share Posted 7 September 2012 As Jimmy says, plenty of non-league football going on tomorrow, I'm going to watch Holbeach. Check the FA Cup fixtures and help out a level 9 or 10 club.

Leicester Rule! Posted 7 September 2012 Share Posted 7 September 2012 Much better than Leicester away games in my opinion. A few days on the beer in some third world county.
davieG Posted 7 September 2012 Share Posted 7 September 2012 People could always pop up to Chesterfield on Monday there's a chance you might see Marshall & Waghorn v Norway. OS Leicester City's Ben Marshall made his England Under-21 debut on Thursday night, as the Young Lions took another step towards next summer's European Championships. Stuart Pearce's side were 2-0 winners over Azerbaijan in Baku, taking them five points clear at the top of their group. A point in Monday's final group game against nearest rivals Norway would see them safely into the play-offs for the 2013 Finals in Israel. Named among the substitutes alongside City team-mate Martyn Waghorn, Marshall was handed his Under-21 bow after 61 minutes when he replaced Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha. England were a goal to the good at the time - a lead given to them by Tottenham Hotspur's Steven Caulker during the first-half - and Pearce's men wrapped up victory eight minutes from the end when Liverpool's Jonjo Shelvey added a second. The squad are now due to return to the UK on Friday ahead of Monday's game against Norway at Chesterfield's Proact Stadium, where both Marshall and Waghorn will be hoping to feature. Mack Posted 7 September 2012 Share Posted 7 September 2012 I can only see a long term future for International tournament Football. The club game has so much money and so much focus I can see a shorter simpler qualification system coming in the next 10 years.
