Jalwit Posted 24 September 2012 Posted 24 September 2012 Alright guys, As a medic away from Leicester I don't usually have that much time to head to the Walker's for match day, and haven't been in a fairly chunky amount of time. I was hoping to take my older brother (also a life-long Leicester fan, and also guilty of neglecting his club on match days) to the Forest home game, but have absolutely no idea where would be a good spot to book my tickets for. Maximum atmosphere and minimum idiots is what I'm aiming for, but I'm willing to settle for a happy medium. I'd appreciate any advice that anyone is willing to offer. Thanks!
Mark_w Posted 24 September 2012 Posted 24 September 2012 Maximum atmosphere and minimum idiots. Impossible.
Jagdinho Posted 24 September 2012 Posted 24 September 2012 L1 is STH only I think? So go to K1 or failing that J3, row EE or higher if you want to stand. You won't find any atmosphere other than there, and that's a promise. Minimum idiots though, I cannot promise you
Wagstff Posted 24 September 2012 Posted 24 September 2012 . Maximum atmosphere and minimum idiots is what I'm aiming for, but I'm willing to settle for a happy medium. N1
The Year Of The Fox Posted 24 September 2012 Posted 24 September 2012 Deffo go K block. L is STH only anyway though I think of late most chants get started in k
bmt Posted 24 September 2012 Posted 24 September 2012 J3 to minimise idiots, top of the block and as close to K as you can get if you want to stand.
Wagstff Posted 24 September 2012 Posted 24 September 2012 Deffo go K block. L is STH only anyway though I think of late most chants get started in k N1 is supposed to be STH only, but theres always loads of people in there with just normal match day tickets
Jobyfox Posted 24 September 2012 Posted 24 September 2012 "haven't been in a fairly chunky amount of time." ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ I'd stand in pen 3 behind the goal in the Double Decker stand. Great atmosphere!
Larry_LCFC Posted 24 September 2012 Posted 24 September 2012 It will always be the Walkers. The KP sounds so tin pot it aint even funny! On a serious note, if you want atmosphere, go and watch West Ham or someone. You wont find any in Leicester.
DB11 Posted 24 September 2012 Posted 24 September 2012 It has been a while if you don't know it's changed name!
Haydos Posted 24 September 2012 Posted 24 September 2012 I still refer to it as The Walkers. Didn't realise everyone actually called it The King Power now.
Corky Posted 24 September 2012 Posted 24 September 2012 You can sit on my lap ;) If you choose this option, be careful when SSL does something quite well. You might find yourself rising in the air.
Kitchandro Posted 24 September 2012 Posted 24 September 2012 It will always be the Walkers. The KP sounds so tin pot it aint even funny! On a serious note, if you want atmosphere, go and watch West Ham or someone. You wont find any in Leicester. They're both shit names tbh. Should have called Freemen's Wharf or whatever it was.
Voll Blau Posted 24 September 2012 Posted 24 September 2012 They're both shit names tbh. Should have called Freemen's Wharf or whatever it was.
Guest Col city fan Posted 24 September 2012 Posted 24 September 2012 If you choose this option, be careful when SSL does something quite well. You might find yourself rising in the air. Well it could certainly be 'an uplifting experience'.
accessory Posted 24 September 2012 Posted 24 September 2012 They're both shit names tbh. Should have called Freemen's Wharf or whatever it was. Filbert Way would have been better - a link to our past heritage.
marty78 Posted 25 September 2012 Posted 25 September 2012 It will always be the Walkers. The KP sounds so tin pot it aint even funny! On a serious note, if you want atmosphere, go and watch West Ham or someone. You wont find any in Leicester. I call it the KP because it's full of nuts.
Basingstoke Fox Posted 25 September 2012 Posted 25 September 2012 It will always be the Walkers. The KP sounds so tin pot it aint even funny! But you referred to it as the King Power stadium in your sig. In terms of home games, I'd definitely recommend K block. It's where I sat for the last 2 home games I've been to (Blackpool this year and Reading last year so no a great range). But the Blackpool game was a good laugh and we made a decent noise at times.
ozleicester Posted 25 September 2012 Posted 25 September 2012 I always enjoyed the back of the Kop... SK2 row pp i think is the back row, where i was always able to stand Mind you, if your happy to sit.. then perhaps the middle of the Kop offers a better atmosphere and view
indierich06 Posted 25 September 2012 Posted 25 September 2012 On a serious note, if you want atmosphere, go and watch West Ham or someone. You joking? They were 2-0 up against us last season and you could hear a pin drop in the place, the only fans making any noise were the Leicester fans!
