Thracian Posted 29 September 2012 Posted 29 September 2012 Could today have gone any better? Vardy scoring as being blasted by the beckford lovers, "no end product" Dyer scoring, Nigel winning three on the trot, one point off top, 3rd best defence in the league, Beckford being shit and Hudderfield losing. Should be quiet on here tonight, although I suppose people can moan about Pearson not explaining every little decision he does. I'm still getting used to agreeing with you but there's no denying it's good to feel vindicated. Why anyone would even start to doubt Vardy I don't know. There's the world of difference between a striker who misses a few chances but still works his socks off and contributes enormously to the team effort and a guy who is approaching abyssmal if he's not on the scoresheet. And yes, I wanted to mention the "No End Product" remark about Dyer too because the guy is a consistent potential maker and scorer of goals, a guy who disturbs or disrupts most every defence and a bloke who deserves the utmost respect for giving 100% whatever the situation and whether things are going right or wrong for himself personally. Today's result makes a nonsense of the largely imagined concern about our away form. Real reason for concern is when you're playing a negative style of football with an ultra-defensive line up, when you're not creating chances and not having any shots. And, yes, we've been there far to often. But not this season. Our away football has been as good and positive as our home football - and the only thing significantly different today was the result - and that was bound to come sooner rather than later. The only down for me was hearing Alan Young's droning negativity. "We've got a point lets hold out for it," and all that crap we've heard before and which has never done us any good. Three points is far more satisfying and beneficial to our cause that one - home or away - and I'd like to think that one day the commentators at Radio Leicester will get that message and start joining the party properly and with a bit of commitment. Me, I'm about to enjoy dinner and will be raising a glass to the emergence of a team worth supporting and a manager who might just be losing his self-imposed shackles and following the kind of philosophy that might yet make him a genuinely succesful manager. Well done to one and all.
Corky Posted 29 September 2012 Posted 29 September 2012 It's just nice that we aren't playing catch up from well behind right now, we're scoring goals and creating chances. We just need to keep going and keep believing in what we are trying to do.
Foxes Blue Blood Posted 29 September 2012 Posted 29 September 2012 table looking really good on Sky!! Played 9 ................18 pts 3rd in League
dedlock Posted 29 September 2012 Posted 29 September 2012 Last season we did not win consecutive games until it was too late.Inconsistency has been a feature of most of the Walkers/KP era. The signs were there at Blackburn,a game we did not deserve to lose.Today our efforts appear to have been rewarded.Onward & upward!
Corky Posted 29 September 2012 Posted 29 September 2012 Have to say that the Burton game has changed things. We were so bad that Pearson must've sorted out the dressing room. Four wins from five since.
sdb Posted 29 September 2012 Posted 29 September 2012 Such a shame we didn't bring on Danns and sack Pearson after 50 mins. Hopefully this win shuts a lot of our 'fans' up and we can all get on with supporting the club and bringing a little more positivity to things!
flowwolf Posted 29 September 2012 Posted 29 September 2012 I still think it's season over. Had we won more convincingly I may have a different view. Lucky today. Dyer and Pearson out. Ah the voice of sanity and reasoned logic no knee jerk reaction to a couple of wins or three. Thank God someone is on the ball. :D
Corky Posted 29 September 2012 Posted 29 September 2012 Boro fans calling us scummy Thai whores. Maybe they could buy some supporters to fill the 20k empty seats.
Ashley Posted 29 September 2012 Posted 29 September 2012 Pleased for Vardy scoring when we were linked with him and then signed him a put up a strong case for the lad he will be good for us. Disappointed about the Beckford not wanting to be here comment though, changed on him I've always thought he has wanted to be here from comments by people but oh well. Three wins on the bounce, Nugent and Vardy scoring we are on the up. Huddersfield is MASSIVE Tuesday night!
flowwolf Posted 29 September 2012 Posted 29 September 2012 I hate not being there....... God, Stringer and Youngy are awful, Youngy really does not like Knockeart, did he piss on his coco pops or something...... Spot on Dave the game was ruined on the radio by that twat Youngy he can't make his mind up one minute slagging Knockeart and Dyer the next singing their praises . I used to like him when he first started but he is just so irritating now , even more irritating because I can't switch of and not know whats going on so have to listen to his personal bias against our own players.
dmayne7 Posted 29 September 2012 Posted 29 September 2012 We shouldn't bet on Huddersield. Yeah, I don't think that Huddersield even exist so you'd be wasting money

Pearson was saying after the match that Knockeart still has a lot to learn, implying that he still has his faults. Maybe Youngy was just saying what he saw.

Corky Posted 29 September 2012 Posted 29 September 2012 Just answered a few questions about the game in a pretty open manner, plenty of praise, mild criticism of Knockeart for overdoing a bit but in a 'nice' way. Closed up a bit when asked about Beckford, saying he was sent out for purely 'footballing reasons' otherwise quite friendly and open..... And we thought he couldn't handle egos and big talents like Stringer...
Babylon Posted 29 September 2012 Posted 29 September 2012 Pearson was saying after the match that Knockeart still has a lot to learn, implying that he still has his faults. Maybe Youngy was just saying what he saw. Young wanted him dropped for this game.
flowwolf Posted 29 September 2012 Posted 29 September 2012 Pearson was saying after the match that Knockeart still has a lot to learn, implying that he still has his faults. Maybe Youngy was just saying what he saw. Agreed but even with a lot to learn he is still ten times the player Youngy ever was and I know because I saw youngy play. Youngy focused on Knockeart's negative bits of the game over and over again but gave scant praise for all the great play he put in. To sum it up would you drop knockeart any time soon ?
Bert Posted 29 September 2012 Posted 29 September 2012 Lets remember just how young Knockaert is still. There's not one player in that team that still hasn't got things to learn.
Mancetter Fox Posted 29 September 2012 Posted 29 September 2012 Glad Beckford's gone on loan. 3 straight wins - Fab!
Basingstoke Fox Posted 29 September 2012 Posted 29 September 2012 No Wonder Dyer scored, he's a superhuman! Another one for the many faces of Andy King too.
MattyFromLE Posted 29 September 2012 Posted 29 September 2012 No Wonder Dyer scored, he's a superhuman! Another one for the many faces of Andy King too. Literally spat my tea out.
LJS Posted 29 September 2012 Posted 29 September 2012 Have to say that the Burton game has changed things. We were so bad that Pearson must've sorted out the dressing room. Four wins from five since. I was going to say something similar, but with Burnley at half time being the turning point. We were abject in that first half and I genuinely thought that Pearson might be 45 minutes from the sack. Whatever he said at the interval did the job and we haven't looked back since. What is important now is that we put enough of a run together now that a poor run later on (and let's not kid ourselves; it will come at some point) doesn't see us out of the picture. We need to be building ourselves a good cushion to ensure that we are in the race for the entire season.
LCFCCHRIS Posted 29 September 2012 Posted 29 September 2012 No Wonder Dyer scored, he's a superhuman! Another one for the many faces of Andy King too. Hahaha! Kings face also makes this photo
