Can you get a taxi from near the ground after the game back to the city centre?

Yes, though it's pretty busy as you can imagine so may take you a while. You're better off walking the 5/10mins to Digbeth and getting one from there.

I always thought Aston was meant to be rougher? St Andrews didn't look particularly nice when I went though.

I agree I think St Andrews has the edge when it comes to possibility of hostility although both require a certain amount of awareness from away supporters.

Yea there can be, it's not the most friendly atmosphere especially if they lose. But the same as most grounds really, keep yourself to yourself, don't wear colours and you'll be fine. Though I find it hardest when we've won and trying not to sing when exiting the ground. Tough!

I felt ok last year, although no colours.

I did get escorted out of Villa park for my own safety many years ago.we won 3-1 and got kicked out of the holte end after Parker scored a penalty.i was very stupid and younger but must admit I shat my little knickers, although i could look after myself in those days, punched, kicked and tea over me.All Claridges fault for playing for Brum and scoring after a few minutes, nothing to do with me leaping up and shouting.fool.My brother who lived in Sutton Coldfield at the time said I would be fine, but he didn't expect me to be an idiot,he is a little older, cleverer and has a really good job but was fairly handy if I was in trouble,he wasn't to happy with me nor was my mate who came with us.Older and wiser.Never went in an away end for years.

Think this will be my first away game of the season depending on how many it looks like we'll take.

Is St Andrews a good ground for atmosphere??

There support was shite last year,

Really hopeful of a win against them, they look very unstable ATM despite the ability of a number of players in their team. Could become a rout if our team and supporters really turn up on the day. Very excited about this one, feels a little different to other away games this season.

Should be better this time around though, it was a category-A fixture for them last season for whatever reason so prices were up - £30 for an adult.

We're obviously doing well currently and a lot of people won't have been to an away game for a while so numbers should be up for this one. I'd expect quite a young following from us given the prices for U18s.

Huddersfield had very decent numbers there today.

Expect us to be taking more

Took 1,901 fans according to Brum's OS.

We should take more yhan that being a lot nearer to them than Huddersfield.

Cov had 6,000 there a few years ago but that was in the cup - they were given the whole stand behind the goal but I doubt we'd get it all.

We really have got no excuse for under 3k at this, absolutely no excuse at all. Be ordering my ticket tomorrow.
