The Year Of The Fox Posted 13 October 2012 Share Posted 13 October 2012 I used to fancy myself as a bit of a drummer though I was frankly crap! Who was/is the best drummer out there? Mine has to be Travis Barker from Blink 182 though special mentions to John Bonham and Keith Moon

Jay Posted 13 October 2012 Share Posted 13 October 2012 For me it has to be Josh Freese you may not have heard his name but you have certainly heard his drumming member of the vandals, NIN, a perfect circle but as a session musician recorded for Guns N Roses, Weezer, offspring, evanescene, QOTSA and errr Avril Lavigne This is him from a NIN song technically this is stunning perfect timing, every snare hit the same, never misses a beat from about 1.50m this is incredible stuff remember in NIN he is actually replacing a drum machine

Fox92 Posted 13 October 2012 Share Posted 13 October 2012 Keith Moon is my favourite, and who I think is the best. Some of his solo work, even when Daltrey was singing over the top, is fantastic.

Jon the Hat Posted 13 October 2012 Share Posted 13 October 2012 Ive always been a Billy Chamberlain fan. Dave Grohl is a complete legend, but I am sure I recall him saying that Taylor Hawkins is better than him, so who am I to argue! I was a reasonable drummer. My kit has not seen the light of dy for a few years now
