Chapel Hill Murders

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-31449973

This is very interesting. There hasn't been a media uproar, so people are complaining. LBC made the argument that there are 30 murders a day in the US, and because this wasn't done in the name of religion, the victims religion is irrelevant.

The murderer is an atheist, and says it happened over a parking spot. Which is ridiculous in itself. But should these murders get more press than the other 27 murders just because the victims were Muslim?

If a Muslim killed three atheist students, but didn't do it 'in the name of religion' would it have received more press? Probably.

I do hope White, atheist, aggressive parkers come out and condemn this murder. Their silence is deafening at the moment.

Overall, just one in 50 young adults now regularly hit the booze, a fall of more than two-thirds in just eight years, according to the Office for National Statistics.
The Office for National Statistics said a clampdown on off licenses, bars and supermarkets selling alcohol to under 21s may have contributed to the fall.

Is that really true?

Have you not read the article? 5,000 people attended a vigil. That's a massive show of support from the local population.

You'd have thought, wouldn't you, if you were sufficiently moved by the death of someone famous to post about it on Twitter, that you'd remember that the person in question had actually died some time ago?

Apparently not:

We might be on to something here.  I mean imagine the entertainment that Princess Diana's death brought us - there's no reason why we cannot relive it over and over again.  Smashing!

Potter reported Mr Taylor had just spat on the windscreen while it was parked outside a friend’s house in nearby Steins Lane. Mr Bide-Thomas said Potter told police Mr Taylor had smirked at her before driving off in his silver van.

He said: “The prosecution say this was a malicious allegation that Barbara Potter made up to get ex-partner into trouble in the light of other disputes.”

Mr Birch said he had not spat on a yellow Megane to his knowledge. When asked about the spit on the car he said: "It must have been windy or something. I wouldn't intentionally spit on someone's car.

Mr Birch told officers he was being drawn into a vendetta adding: “It’s a long story. About a year ago Andy and Barbara were around here. “She threw a kebab at me and I threw it back. Later on she fell and hurt her elbow. We all fell out.”

Potter said: “I saw the vehicle and the gentleman was the spitting image of my (ex) partner.

Married TV actor wakes up to find his testicles have been STOLEN after he is drugged in Russian bar by attractive blonde working for organ traffickers

Police in Russia are tracking a gang - apparently including a doctor - who drugged a TV soap actor and removed his testicles.

Dmitry Nikolaev, 30, had a drink with a 'young blonde woman' who approached him at a bar after he finished a performance at a small Moscow theatre.

Flirting with him, she invited him to a sauna, and though he was married, he agreed to go with her.

'They kissed and had some more beer and after that the actor remembers nothing,' said a police source.

He woke up next day at a bus stop, feeling acute pain, and with blood on his trousers.

Rushed to hospital, he was told that his testicles had been removed and that 'it was done like proper surgery by someone with a medical education'.

The operation was conducted in a 'skillful way', said police, who believe his beer was spiked by an unknown drug

To be fair, he's providing a service to humanity. Anyone willing believing this bloke, when he tells you to chop your balls off to be closer to god... really shouldn't be allowed to breed.

A fantastic story that confirms what seems so obvious to many of us - that trapping people into welfare dependency causes psychological problems, and that most people relying on hand outs would benefit more in the long term by having them stopped and having to find their own way in the world again.

A fantastic story that confirms what seems so obvious to many of us - that trapping people into welfare dependency causes psychological problems, and that most people relying on hand outs would benefit more in the long term by having them stopped and having to find their own way in the world again.

A very similar story was in the Times a while back.

A guy who sat on his arse popping pills for over a year as everyone was telling him he was unfit for work - eventually he threw them in the bin and took it upon himself to get back out there and it did him the World of good.

If enough people tell you you're depressed you start to believe it, I've also got big problems with how we seem to try and get as many people as poss dependant on the billion dollar pharmaceutical companies.

With the left switching from the "cost of living crisis" to a less well defined, less measurable "quality of life" argument, I'm surprised they're not making more of a big deal out of how ruinous welfare dependency can be to people's outlook on life.

Since we're practically global leaders in giving away hand outs it's potentially a major problem, a society that truly cares for its vulnerable would be looking seriously at how hand outs are doing more harm than good.

Three judges have been removed and a fourth has resigned following an investigation into an allegation that they viewed pornographic material on office computers.

The disciplinary inquiry was revealed by the Judicial Conduct Investigations Office, which found that there had been “inexcusable misuse” of their IT accounts.

“Three judges: district judge Timothy Bowles, immigration judge Warren Grant, and deputy district judge and recorder Peter Bullock have been removed from judicial office following an investigation into an allegation that they viewed pornographic material on judicial IT equipment in their offices,” a statement from the JCIO said.

“The lord chancellor [the justice secretary, Chris Grayling] and the lord chief justice [Lord Thomas of Cwmgiedd] were satisfied that the material did not include images of children or any other illegal content, but concluded that this was an inexcusable misuse of their judicial IT accounts and wholly unacceptable conduct for a judicial office-holder.

“A fourth judge, recorder Andrew Maw, was also found to have viewed similar inappropriate material via his judicial IT account. The lord chancellor and the lord chief justice would likewise have removed Recorder Maw had he not resigned before the conclusion of the disciplinary process.”

The judges were not exchanging images or believed to be linked in any way. The JCIO declined to say whether the images had been discovered during a routine internal audit of computer files or through a different procedure.

Maw worked at Lincoln county court, Bowles at Romford county court, Bullock on the North Eastern Circuit, and Grant at the Immigration and Asylum Chamber, first tier immigration tribunal, based at Taylor House, central London. District judges earn £115,000 a year; first tier tribunal judges are paid £113,000.

Viewing pornography is not illegal but doing so on office equipment is considered a serious act of misconduct that undermines public confidence in the judiciary. Dismissal was seen as a necessary punishment for judges whose private lives are not expected to raise questions about their impartiality – or judgment.

There is no appeal within the JCIO’s disciplinary procedure but dismissed judges can make a judicial review challenge.

Jacked then sacked it would appear

POLICE ARREST WORLD’S MOST PROLIFIC UFC AND WWE PIRATE

BREAKING

The UK's Police Intellectual Property Crime Unit says it has arrested the world's most prolific uploader of World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) and Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) content. The 55-year-old, who TorrentFreak believes it has identified, was arrested at his home in Leicestershire this morning.

cityoflondonpolice.jpgWorld Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) and Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) events are without doubt the most popular combat-based content available today.

These enterprises are big business. WWE had revenues in excess of half a billion dollars in 2014 and while UFC parent Zuffa is rather more tight-lipped about its financial position, the company is believed to be worth several billion dollars.

Both companies’ revenues rely heavily on TV-focused content. In 2013, UFC-parent company Zuffa’s revenues were split roughly 58% for PPV events and ticket sales with the remaining 42% derived from TV, sponsorships and various distribution agreements.

Predictably the company has a track record of reacting furiously to its content being uploaded to the Internet and has active programs to remove links and prosecute individuals, mainly in the United States. Today police in the UK have been doing the organization’s work for them.

This morning officers from the UK’s Police Intellectual Property Unit arrested an individual said to be one of the world’s most prolific uploaders of both UFC and WWE content.

Traveling hundreds of miles north to the tiny market town of Coalville in Leicestershire, officers descended on the home of the 55-year-old man.

According to police the man is “believed to be one of the internet’s biggest offenders” when it comes to uploading wrestling and mixed martial arts content to both peer-to-peer and user-generated content sites.

The man’s home was searched and several computers were seized. He was then taken to a local police station for questioning.

Didn't realise Coalville was so far from London nor that it was a tiny market town.
